It has been a week of amazing growth for the Xtrakush too. What an amazing plant this is. Resilient, enormous growth, it was only last week that we took out her brother. It turned out to be male, which is why we planted two in one pot. Already she has taken up its space almost entirely. And the bud growth is also something I haven't seen before. This can really turn out to be enormous buds if the buds grow out like advertised. All in all a great week with lots of activity on my part to facilitate these results. We are three weeks into flowering, the deadline I set myself from where I'm allowed defoliating the underside. To prevent stress, but also to maximize growth I hadn't touched them all grow. Also, I made the flowering amendments, it didn't seem they needed anything so I waited a couple of weeks. I made a mix of 2 cups worm castings, 2 cups bonemeal, 1 cup of micro life (per plant) and mixed this. I dropped this on the soil around the stem. In just a day another amazing stretch happened. The combined defoliation and added nutes gave a boost they seemed to love. I watered with a heavy mix of BAC organic flowering, Topmax and Calmag, and a one in 6 mix of my trusty permaculture tea. This week I transplanted the Jelly Rancher plant to a Jiffy Pot from a Jiffy Pod. No problems, everything went well and my plant is continuing to grow. Sometime in the next 2 weeks I will transplant into a 1 gallon fabric pot, depending on how fast she grows.

This girl has finally come to an end she has been delightful to grow no issues looks incredible and I'm looking forward to see the weight. Put it into jars to cure and check out and there potency aswell as taste i we'll continue to update once I dry yet. Hello This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering. The plants are starting to put on some weight now... and the resin is flowing. I like it when the resin is visible on the edges of the top fan leaves too. Those plant always have more resin.... Still got a month to go. I like to flower for 10 weeks. May 10th Just patiently waiting Switched nutrients back to straight Dense Buds @ 1200 PPM May 12th Switched nutrients back to what is posted on in the diary. The two days of straight Dense Buds really tightened up the Buds. I t is getting very close to flushing 👍😎 Most Buds look ready but there are a couple spots were they can go longer I see that my humidity has climbed up to 50% so I will be running the dehumidifier for the rest of the grow, aiming at 40% RH May 13th Switched the nutrients to start flushing today. I used 15 litres of water and 40m/l of Florakleen = 0.38 m/l PPM > 100 and PH of 6.1

Week 3! - day 21: Decided to top them Also this is my first time topping, please feel free to let me know if I do something wrong. -update on day 22: transplanted the one that was in the smallest pot, quite nice root system! -upd. day 26: I gave them 12 hours of darkness, thereby flowering phase is ON! :P

Die Pflanzen wurden nach 9 Tagen im Becher in jeweils einen 19L Stofftopf umgetopft. Nach 14 Tagen wurden beide mit einem Skalpell getoppt. Bisher fand so gut wie keine zusätzliche Düngung statt. Ab jetzt wird regulär Dünger verabreicht.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Day 53 of flower today. I filled the reservoir from empty and stopped using the macro. I replaced it with General hydroponics Ripen at 5ml a gallon. Everything is frosty and smells good. As far looks I like the RC the best and the PE the least. I'm going to end up with a sheet ton of it out of the 3 so I hope I'm wrong! 😆 I'm going to do a lower defoliation mid week to get more air flowing. RH is stable but I just want to be careful 🧐 being this close to the finish line. This is definitely one of the easiest runs I've had. It seems PE is pretty maxed when it comes to nutrition but LMC and RC could take a bit more. My PE phenotype is super stretchy compared to them as well.
