🌱 Animal Mints — Week 3 VEG Report 12/12 from seed | Vegetative phase ongoing General Overview Week 3 of vegetative growth closes with Animal Mints standing out for exceptional leaf detail, natural structure, and active branching behavior. Both plants are thriving, each expressing itself according to its own timeline, yet sharing the same healthy rhythm seen across the room. This is one of those cultivars where detail becomes the story. ⸻ Growth & Structure • Stage: Vegetative • Flowering signs: None confirmed • Pre-flower: Possible very early indication on one plant (not yet definitive) Plant A — with prior vegetative period • Veg history: ~15 days under 18h light • Node count: ~8 • Size: Significantly larger (as expected) • Branching: Strong and active • Leaf size: Large, dominant, highly detailed On this plant, light leaf bending / leaf tucking has begun. Large fan leaves are gently tucked or repositioned underneath the canopy to: • Improve light penetration • Encourage lower branch development • Balance apical dominance • Promote a more even structure This is not aggressive training — no topping, no tying, no stress. It’s a soft, observational approach, simply guiding leaves out of the way so the plant can express its natural branching potential. ⸻ Plant B — 12/12 from seed • Node count: ~4 • Size: Smaller, as expected • Branching: Surprisingly active for its size • Training: None Even without any intervention, lower branches on this plant are already reaching upward naturally, showing excellent hormonal balance and structural intent. ⸻ Leaf Expression & Detail Animal Mints truly shines in leaf morphology: • Extremely fine serration detail • Subtle curves along each leaf finger • Clean edges, no deformation • Deep, lush green coloration The level of detail is remarkable — almost sculptural — and clearly genetic rather than environmental stress–related. ⸻ Training Status (Clarified) • Leaf bending / tucking: • Applied only on the larger, vegged plant • Gentle, non-stressful • Focused on opening the canopy • No other training performed: • No topping • No LST • No defoliation The goal remains support, not control. ⸻ Veg vs 12/12 Comparison This folder offers a clear and valuable comparison: • The plant that received a veg period is larger and more developed • The plant run 12/12 from seed is smaller, but structurally similar • Both show strong natural branching Notably, the vegged plant is still not flowering, despite already spending three weeks under 12/12. This suggests the plant is still prioritizing structure and energy storage. ⸻ 📸 Photo Documentation This week includes studio-style photos, including images of the plants held close during documentation. One of the photos features the Plagron jacket, included as a natural thank-you for the nutrition program and gear used throughout the grow. ⸻ Environment — Room Conditions (Week 3) • Photoperiod: 12/12 from seed • Day temperature: ~26 °C • Night temperature: ~18 °C • Relative Humidity: 60–65% • VPD: In optimal vegetative range • Airflow: Gentle, constant, non-stressful • Solution temperature: ~21 °C • Substrate temperature: ~21 °C Environmental stability remains consistent across the room. ⸻ 💡 Lighting • PPFD: ~600–700 (plant-size dependent) • Plants growing naturally into the light • No stretch, no light stress ⸻ 💧 Watering & Nutrition • Watering method: Hand-watered • pH: 6.0 • EC: 1.0 Nutrient program: • Plagron Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal Foliar: • Vita Race • Used selectively and intentionally ⸻ 🔍 What to Expect / What Not to Expect (Next Week) What to expect: • Continued vegetative expansion • Stronger lower branch response on the vegged plant • Possible clearer pre-flower signals • Increased structural definition What not to expect (yet): • Full flowering • Explosive stretch • Need for aggressive training ⸻ Final Thoughts Animal Mints closes Week 3 as expressive, detailed, and naturally structured. Leaf morphology and autonomous branching are already setting the tone, while gentle leaf tucking is helping guide the canopy without disrupting the plant’s rhythm. No forcing. No shortcuts. Just support, observation, and respect for the process. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Flowering day 3 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys . My cutting heating broke 3-4 weeks ago, which was fixed immediately and everything went wonderfully. Now, 3 days ago, the central heating broke down in the entire room, so that at night I only have temperatures of around 13 degrees :-( . One or the other lady is slowly starting to see a phosphorus blockage, as this can no longer be absorbed at temperatures below 15 degrees, like many other nutrients :-( . A friend looked at the heating yesterday and came to the conclusion that a real company had to do it, which is by no means possible for a stranger to enter my room. I quickly ordered heating mats for all the boxes so that the ladies could at least get warm feet. That's all I have this winter full can do . Let's hope everything will be fine 🙏🏻. As soon as the heating mats are attached in the coming days, I will post them in the pictures. Now for the update. Despite the severe cold, the ladies are still doing well and have made good progres . The ladies only had to be watered once this week, each time with 1 l, because it absorbs the water very slowly because of the cold and I don't want to overwater it. I took every single plant in the pot to take a close look at their roots. These are snow white and look very healthy 🙏🏻. It was also the last time neem oil sprayed so that the last trips are finally gone. Otherwise everything was checked and a lot of planning was done, like I do with the heating mats. Since a friend had the same problem in one winter and the heating mats got 10 degrees plus on the pots, I am very confident that it will at least bring something for the last cold month 😃 🙏🏻. I've started flowering even if some are still a bit small, but otherwise they'll get too wide from training and end up taking up space :-) until then have fun and stay healthy 🙏🏻 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 You can buy this Nutrients at : https://greenbuzzliquids.com/en/shop/ With the discount code: Made_in_Germany you get a discount of 15% on all products from an order value of 100 euros. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 You can buy this strain at : Clearwater Seeds Water 💧 💧💧 Osmosis water mixed with normal water (24 hours stale that the chlorine evaporates) to 0.2 EC.

On day 1 I changed out my reservoir, and added my bloom nutes, adjusted my light schedule to 12/12 and defoliated the plants. I adjusted the reservoirs PH to 6.1 My hope is that by flipping this cultivar earlier than my last run, I will not run out of vertical space ;). On day 2 I adjusted my reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 3 the clawing is almost completely gone. I adjusted the reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 4 the reservoir's PH is at 6.1. I defoliated the plants removing anything blocking lower growth to increase light and air penetration of my mains. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir up from 6.0 to 6.3. I will let the PH drift between 6.1-6.3. on day 7 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. I lowered the light intensity from 100% to 85% to give the top of my plant canopy an average PPFD of 700-1000. I plan to reduce the intensity as the plants continue to stretch to keep them in the 800-1000 PPFD range. I just got my first quantum par sensor and I'm really loving the new data it gives me to optimize my lighting.

⭐ TrolMaster tracking ⭐ I started to track my crop during week 15, when I got the Tent-X TCS-1 by TrolMaster. First impression was: this is too professional for me, I can't handle setting it up and using it well. Then I started reading some posts on Instagram, I visited their site and in 5 minutes my cultivation experience took a huge step forward with disarming simplicity, I couldn't believe it. I have uploaded tracking videos from the TrolMaster app for each week from the 15th to the 19th, as well as the two weeks of drying stage. ⭐ Controller Chronicles ⭐ Day after day I appreciated the clarity and precision for data, access to all settings and instant readings by connecting a WIFI router to the controller's LAN port. I loved the possibility to dim my lamps remotely, or even automatically based on the temperature in the box! 🌱 GERMINATION (2 days) Seeds in a glass of EC 0.4 tap water for 10 hours, then in root riots and under the lamp. They sprouted after 48 hours from dry seed. 🌿 GROWING STAGE (10 weeks and half) I decided to give these plants a long vegetative growth and this allowed me to do a lot of training on both. Starting from the 4th veg week I started with defoliation sessions every two weeks, for a total of four during the entire vegetative phase. The last defoliation was done a couple of days before the switch, in order to allow the lower parts of the plant to get as much light as possible. Furthermore I did Topping on week 6, cutting the apical branch, then on week 8 I did Topping again on several sites, as well as SuperCropping on the highest branches to make the canopy uniform. The light cycle I used is 18/6 and the last two veg weeks I lowered the light hours to 16/8 first and 14/10 then. During the veg stage I made 4 DWC change, PH was always between 5.5 and 6, about EC I started with 0.6 and was 1.4 on the last veg week. 🌸 FLOWERING STAGE (9 weeks) I started this phase after 36 hours of darkness, I then changed the DWCs solution (adding a flowering stimulator). Then I mounted the ScrOG-net about 50 cm from the base of the plants and I wove the phenotype #1 through the net occupying at least 60% of the available space; the phenotype #2 stretched shortly after the switch and I used the net only to widen the central branches. They showed the pre-flowers two weeks after the switch, then I made two defoliations on week 3 and 5 flo. During the last four weeks of flowering (weeks 6-9) I simply paid attention to the PH-EC levels to provide the roots with optimal conditions. I then kept the TEMP-RH-VPD-PPFD values under control and this also thanks to the Tent-X controller by TrolMaster which allows me to provide optimal conditions also above. I chopped them when trichomes were about 85% milky and 15% amber. During the flowering stage PH was always between 5.8 and 6.2, about EC I started with 2 and was 2.3 on the last week before flush. ✅ HARVEST - From dry seed to harvest: 140 days (2 days germination + 75 days veg + 63 days flo). - Chopped after 4 days flush and 48 hours in dark; - Wet trim, removed fan leaves. ✅ DRYING STAGE - Time: 14 days; - Average: 20° C - 50% RH. - After that I made a dry trim, removed branches and sugar leaves. ⚖️ DRY WEIGHT - Phenotype #1: 230 gr buds + 25 gr larf; - Phenotype #2: 105 gr buds + 50 gr larf. So, the overall dry weight is: 335 gr buds + 75 gr larf. ✅ CURING STAGE - Curing is done after 30 days with Boveda 62%.

Day 49 smells amazing anywhere near the tent. I have done a ton of defoliation to allow some more air flow and added another small fan and also a dehumidifier.Going to drop humidity to 55 percent and I have increased the light intensity to 70 percent power. These girls have been very thirsty and drinking around a half a gallon of water every 24-48 hours. Day 50 I added a 4 inch inline fan to add some cool air from outside the tent to help cool things down a bit.Got some curl on some of the fan leaves which it’s time for more of them to go.Buds are starting to develop nicely and I added a dose of Plagron green sensation and a dose of cal mag in tonight’s watering.

I need to get my l.s.t. done. Plan to this weekend. Have been alternating waterings between regular water and water with 2.5ml of fox farm grow big. Have watered all times with 200ml of water and the solution water mix. Been keeping the humidity at about 45% temp around 68. Can tell a huge difference in sizes of the plants and their container sizes. Will be going with at least 3gal pots next grow. Still using a 25w light as well. Will be upgrading that asap. Thanks for the view. And as always, stay safe.

DOGK Is on week 11, week 6 of flowering. It's stayed in a 2L pot. (Wasn't my intention. But after a silly mistake. 2 seeds stems were crushed with pebbles) She SMELLS F.....g amazing & I'm absolutely raging this is her size. Had I known what I do now. I'd of put these in a 20L pot like Euphoria. For being stuck in a 2L pot. She has grown fairly well. Few issues on the leaves but Nothing that set her back. The buds are still fattening lower but the tops are rock hard. She stinks of gasey berries. OMG it smells DIVINE, :-). (NOTE: I will back date pics. I've misplaced my other device with the past 4 weeks of photos. Missed her past 2 weeks. But, she's a breeze to deal with in such a small pot & being hydro. "Coco/pebbles 40/60" I'd say she has roughly 3+ weeks left to go.. HST was done after preflower, week 3 of flowering(still some growing left in her) and she grew up to her OG height. She will get a heavy & last defol in the next week. Her tops are done. But, 80% down she is still fattening. Week12 Day80 I've decided that 90% of her is done. She's only been 7-8 weeks flowering. The 2L pot sped things up. Yield will be tiny. 7-10g of A grade bud. The smell is just astounding. The buds glisten with resin and sticky af.. Really looking forward to harvesting this girl. Trichomes and Terps are showing up nicely - very fruity - not detecting pineapple yet but really nice. On the grow - I can definitely see how it is not a nitrogen hog - actually would change the nutrients next time around as she’s darker than I would prefer at this stage so I’ve scaled back the nitrogen. Anyway - What started off as a really small, runt of a plant has blossomed into this magnificent 2 foot tall solid bud - not really bothered that I didn’t get time to top + LST
