September 17, 2021 Day 3 of vegetation Temperature 28.5 I took the plant pot out of the clay pebbles and put it on the top so that it can still get water but I’m not over watering it. 🙏

I’m not 100% done collecting all the data. By the smell of it, this plant will be one of the dankest plants I’ve ever grown. More to come. Tuesday, September 5 I have the nugs in jars right now. Hopefully I didn’t let it dry too much. Right now the humidity is at around 52% but I think if I move the jar around a bit I can them to sweat a bit more.

Day 7 & 2 of the NHLs still havnt popped, transplanting the one NHL that did pop today! Day 12 think 1 of the orange sherbet have nute burn so flushing it out and dropping the dose a little hopefully that helps!

Can't wait to harvest! Probably going to wait another week. Trichomes are getting cloudier. A few amber ones, a few clear ones still. Most are cloudy. Gave them the last garlic spraying for the spider mites yesterday. Only spraying them with water now to keep the mites in check and wash off the garlic.😎

Week 2 of flower roughly and all plants have begun the shift to cotton balls. Except for the males of course but, they’re grown som hefty sacks also😉. As it turns out we have 3 males, not 2. That might present an option to harvest pollen off one of em to actually save for future use. We’ll see how it goes. Other than that - all plants are performing generally well. Certainly we’ll enough to make some seed babies so let’s get to it. I figure nuts start bust’n in about 2 weeks or so yall! Giddy up and slap dat ass - we gotta make ourselves some bit ‘o awesome😎. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

She did quite well for being grown in a 9L pot and got a decent root structure. Because there where 4 plants in the tent this one suffered a bit and got squashed out the way. But she still did a good solid yield.

So week 8 was definitely a trying one. I was coming off of not only being behind on food from a couple weeks back, but also having a soil pH problem at same time. So I fed them a couple weeks back, found the pH issue and flushed with proper pH water. However, some of the damage and deficiency signs were still hanging around. I decided to give them each a top dressing of 6 tbsp's of 2-8-4 power bloom, in case I washed a lot out during the flush. At the same time, continuing to water at a lower pH of 6.0-6.5 to encourage my soil to go back to an optimal level. On the soil pH tester they are all sitting from 6.6-6.8 pH currently. Which was a lot better than the 7+ I found during the issue. These girls are growing big and are constantly hungry for water and nutrients. The amount of leaves on this strain was quite impressive. On that note, I had to do a lot of defoliation at the end of week 8. Hoping to encourage longer bigger colas and allowing light to penetrate to lower canopy. Plan is to keep watering when dry, adjust LST as the weeks go along, and defoliate where necessary. I do apologize to Dutch Passion, as I feel I've done them a disservice with my issues this time around. So if the result of this strain from me is sub par, it would not be the strain at this point. But I will continue to do my best to make a good result!👊 Happy growing! P.S. forgot I named them to track their health. Big Red, Stubby and Corona Virus. Big Red is largest but has red stems and leaf discoloration. Corona Virus is like Big Red but more leaf issues and Stubby is shortest one but by far healthiest so far.

Fast Buds new strain CA (still no idea what CA stands for yet). Growing strong and starting to show bud sites now, but the leaves look a little more yellowish than I'd like. I was not checking PH previously and started checking the PH this week. My well water comes out of the tap around 7.3-7.4, which is a bit higher than most recommend. This week I PH'ed down to 6.3 and fed her Recharge only. Hope to see some more green coming back over the next few days.

She has performed very good with the lst method, nice plant, fast growth, quality flowers, it's a very good choice for everyone who's looking for a good quality strain at affordable prices. 12.5.25: I watered with some more Trace again. She's feeding well and needs watering more often again. I upped the dose of Trace as I've noticed that there are some purple hues coming back on the stems. 13.5.25: I have removed all fabric ties on the plant. I think we have stopped stretching, so the sooner, the better. I keep getting my watering can caught in them all, and it was only a matter of time before I ended up snapping more branches off 😅 The fewer things in my way, the better 🤫 15.5.25: I watered today as the pot had dried out almost. The plant was watered with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 with the following nutrients per 6.5 litres; ♡ 7ml Trace by Ecothrive ♡ 1/2 Tsp Sea K(elp) by Greenleaf nutrients The plants received the amounts below. HULKBERRY: 1l FASTBUDS: 2l NORTHERN LIGHTS: 3.5l I am not giving any further nitrogen at this stage. They had a couple of doses in the past week or so. I'm sure they don't need any more. So, I'm just using the kelp as it's packed full of goodness and high in potassium. I also suspect an excess of phosphorus. So I'm also leaving that out for the time being. There are still some red stems on the plants. added the Ecothrive trace for the last few waterings. I'm hoping it will resolve without any further intervention. 16.5.25: I watered FastBuds Mystery seed #1 with 2trs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with: ♡ 1/2 Tsp Sea K(elp) by Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 7ml Trace by Ecothrive Measurements per 6.5ltrs. PPM: 670 PH: 6.4 17.5.25: I watered again today with 2ltrs of the above PH'D to 6.2. Parameters remaining the same. The plant is increasingly thirsty, so the waterings have again needed to be increased. As we're reaching deep into flowering, this is par for the course. I'm mostly using coco, perlite worm cats. Etc. So it's very easy for my pots to dry out. I need to keep in top of it. As the pots dry out, the microbes are lost, and so keeping everything moist and healthy is imperative. That's why I add Ecothrive Biosys regularly to ensure I keep up with the microbial life in the soil biology. To avoid PH lockout. 18.5.25: I watered again, with the same parameters as yesterday.
