Aug 17: gotta love big fast plants. This is a nice big plant and the buds are forming very quickly. Added a scrog net layer because I realized the buds are getting heavy already and will likely want more support. These loosely placed Scrog nets are working great and they make it easy to expose buds while tucking fan leaves out of the way. Honestly, I can hardly believe how fast these buds are maturing. Very impressed. Aug 18: another cool and slightly rainy day but at least it’s not so smoky. This new normal of ‘which town is gonna get burned this year?’ Is not fun at all. This year is was a third of the town of Jasper which is inside a national park. Aug 21: this plant is awesome with really big buds forming quite quickly. Week Harvest My journey of Runtz Automatic and her entrance in the Eternity Grow Cup 2025 began on January 7 when she popped her head above the soil. Runtz was an easy carefree plant to grow with no incidents of pests or disease. A few defoliations were all that was necessary to keep her in check. I kept her under a light schedule of 18/6 to maximize her light exposure. After topping her she grew only 24 inches tall. This small plant structure is suitable for growers with limited space. She was harvested on March 20, day 74 from germination. As part of the flushing process, I topped the pot with ice, then watered with ph 6.5-6.7 water for 3 days. Then I put Runtz Auto in the dark for 2 days still in her pot. March 20, she got the chop, Wet weight 314g and is hanging dry in a darkened room. As she dries, candy, sweet, fruity smells escape the room. Temps are 71-72and 43-48% humidity. I am sure she is as tasty as she smells and will not disappoint in effects. My sincere thanks to Patricia @Zamnesia for her support and encouragement throughout this grow. Big thanks and sincere appreciation to Plagron and Zamnesia for hosting this fun and exciting contest. Everyone entering the contest started with the same strain in either a feminized auto or photoperiod seed. Zamnesia generously provided 5 seeds to everyone and Plagron provided the Green Sensation flowering additive. During this contest I enjoyed visiting many contestants’ diaries and seeing beautiful gardens. Many, like me, are limited in space or number of plants they can grow but all are displaying fine specimens. Some Runtz phenotypes are very sativa dominant, with long thin leaf fingers, while others lean more indica. What will be most interesting will be the smoke reports on effects. My theory is that the more sativa leaning in structure, the more active, energetic and euphoric that plant will be and the indica leaning specimens will be more relaxing and uplifting. Well as always I'm super happy with what the team over at @fastbuds are doing ! To be honest they were my first auto flowering brand I tried and they sponsors that grow because they like helping growers. Easy to approach and great customer service I have not been disappointed yet and this strain here is a keeper . I wish I could bottle the scent up and keep it forced 🙂. In the beginning I wanted to grow her out in a Christmas themed container do she was put into a snowman ⛄ deal placed into a 2 gallon pot . The soil and all additives are organic , living soil a Canadian company blend . She honestly was knocked out twice from her container and her size is tall but not many buds I stressed her out a lot . If she wouldn't have fallen out and been in a 4-5 gallon container then I would be even happier . The scent alone makes up for the size I could smell it all day . Never have I smelt an auto flowering strain like this before . Over fruity like ripened strawberries and lots of gas to be had as well . Today I decided to chop her down and make room for the next generation a head . The fact is that I enjoy all strains and don't care whether it's an auto or a photoperiod this company makes some fine plants and have been in my garden for almost two years now they are my go to auto flowering company ..cheers We got a smoke report going now and it's a bomb smoke I can't believe this was what I got . So much fruity and earthy undertones with such sticky buds I'm in love .. wish I had this whole plant in my garden it's fire smoke a great indica buzz

Week 3 of Flower This little lady sure is taking her time flipping to flower. Her tent mates are well into it but she is taking her time lol. Oh well she is still healthy and I can see now that she is stretching out a bit and finally bursting into flowering. She will likely take longer then the 8-9 weeks that the breeders say given her slow start to flower. But I’m ok with that. She’s healthy so things are looking up. 5.9 pH 500 ppm 65 water temp 72 tent temp 39 RH %

Day 43 - The start of week 7 and she’s doing great and the purple is starting to show up pretty nicely now. She’s doing good since tying down some branches yesterday and will let her grow up as much as she wants now. Should be ready for some water tomorrow. Day 44 - Really starting to push out some purple. Gave her some water today, soil was completely dry. Just watching her as she starts to stretch a bit and might give some bone meal once she hits day 60, depending on how she’s doing. Day 45 - Not a whole lot happening right now, she’s looking good and starting to put on a lot a purple and loving it. Tucked a few leaves to keep her open. Day 46 - Nothing interesting going on with the girl right now. She’s filling in nicely and the purples look amazing. Probably another day or two before giving her some fresh water. Day 47 - Looking good and dropped the light to about 10” the other day and it really seems to be helping her bud up more. Pot is just about dried up so will be giving her some water tomorrow. Day 48 - She’s doing well, noticed a few lower leaves are becoming very light in color but all the rest seem to be doing ok. Not sure if I need to add another batch of bone meal to the soil or if she just needed a good watering so she got watered to runoff tonight and I’ll keep an eye on her for the next few days. Other than that, her bud sites are really starting to purple up. Day 49 - It’s the end of week 7 and getting a little worried about this girl and not sure what’s going on. Yesterday she looked great and all of a sudden today, all of her leaves have turned a really light shade of green. This soil is not supposed to need nutes but I’m thinking no nutes is good for veg but I need to add them for flowering so I went and gave her a feeding of the foxfarm trio with some cal-mag and I’ll give it a couple days to see if it helps. Buds are producing nicely but leaves look like they’re dying so hopefully the feed helps.

Got little under a half lb of buds from the sugar cane all nice frosty dense sticky buds. And got 2 gallon bags packed full of sugar leaves and popcorn buds to use for cold water hash 🤤🤤 not bad I must say with the quality of the buds and being stuffed in a 4×4 tent with black cherry twist from @InHouseGenetics . This stuff is gonna wash amazingly.

Gorilla cookies was doing really good until last 24 hours. Looks like a little phosphorus deficiency on leaves. I flushed her out and refreshed nutrition. Ph is good and everything is set. Hopefully she should bounce right back. May 25th .2021 i Just finished the Strawberry Cough 🍓Grow. Week 8 10-14 Water, both drinking around 750 ml a day! Pretty much just fun with pictures from here. Kosher still seems a bit hungry, but doing awesome! Ztrawberriez is just nasty! Cant seem to get good enough pictures! Lol 10-17 Water and Guy was up to no good! 😻 10-15 Guy stopped in to pose today! 10-19 Flushed both today. I thought they should be low on food, but I over loaded again, I guess. K ppm starting was 1200, now 440 Z 1050 now 310 Sheesh! One day I may Not over feed. 🤣 I even thought 2 tbs was light. 🤣 .

WEEK 24-30 March. Finally a new space for the girls, on an homemade recirculating system that I named AQUALOOP, consisting in 2 drippers connected to a water flow system added with air. Air is also blown directly into the substrate and into the reservoir !

She has gone into flushing... Very nice recovery... she has produces some nice skunky smelling buds.. she is very tall and bending over... hope she goes good untill the end... fingers crossed.. 🙏

I have observed substantial growth in my babies, unfortunately, I will not be able to complete the intended 9 weeks of vegetation before transitioning to the flowering stage. This is due to an upcoming relocation to a more suitable location that offers ample space for strain cycling and the maintenance of mother plants for cloning purposes. I am eagerly anticipating the flowering phase, particularly for the Gelato 41 strain, which is already emitting a pleasant aroma.
