LSD — Week 13 From Seed | 12/12 From Seed, No Veg Week 13 from seed, and this room is fully alive. What started as a true 12/12 from seed run—no veg, no transplant games, no extended shaping, just straight into flower from the beginning—has now matured into exactly what this style is meant to show: natural structure, honest expression, and plants allowed to speak for themselves. Instead, they followed a more natural vertical rhythm: apical dominance stayed intact, main tops remained leading, and side branching developed in support rather than competition. That is why this room carries that classic spear-shaped structure: strong central leaders, supporting side branches, elegant vertical stacking, and that clean “natural Christmas tree” silhouette from top to bottom. For many growers, this shape reads visually “sativa.” Not because the cultivar suddenly became sativa-dominant, but because the growth pattern expresses more like one under this method: taller posture, longer frame, more pronounced central cola, cleaner lateral support, and less squat horizontal bulk. That is why we have moved away from active nutrient feeding and into a much softer finish: water, balance, and enzymes. Not because the plant needs nothing. Because the plant needs less. Late flower is not the moment to keep forcing nitrogen, forcing bulk, or trying to squeeze one more week of artificial push into a plant that is already trying to mature. At this point, more food often does not mean more flower. It usually means more delay. So now we reduce input, reduce excess, reduce waste, and let the plant focus on what matters most: ripening what it already built. ⸻ Why Enzymes Still Matter This late, enzymes are not here to “feed the plant.” They are here to support the system around it. That matters. Enzymes help break down dead root material, leftover organic residue, and unused matter in the medium into simpler compounds the microbial life can continue processing. That keeps the rhizosphere cleaner. More stable. More oxygenated. Less stagnant. In simple terms: enzymes help the root zone age gracefully. And in late flower, that matters more than force-feeding ever will. Especially in a run like this, where the medium is still alive, still active, and still worth preserving after harvest. Because the goal is not just to finish the plant well. The goal is to finish the soil well too. What remains after harvest still matters. That living medium still has value. That biology still has work to do. That soil still has another life ahead of it. So we are not just finishing flowers. We are finishing the cycle properly. ⸻ Trichomes, Calyx, and What Maturity Actually Looks Like This is the stage where people often mistake “more pistils” for “more time” or “fading leaves” for “finished.” Neither one tells the full story on its own. Late flower maturity is not judged by one signal. It is judged by the conversation between all of them. And right now, that conversation is getting very interesting. The calyx are swelling. The flowers are tightening. The resin heads are becoming heavier. The pistils are changing, receding, darkening, and curling back. The leaves are beginning to fade with purpose. That does not mean they are done. It means they are transitioning. This is the window where the plant stops looking like it is building flowers and starts looking like it is sealing them. As plants approach the end, reducing PPFD helps lower unnecessary stress, reduce excess transpiration, and let the plant focus on ripening instead of defending itself from intensity it no longer needs. Late flower is not about maximum push. It is about controlled finish. And just like nutrients, light now becomes less about force and more about guidance. ⸻ What to Expect Next From here, do not expect explosive growth. That part is over. Do not expect dramatic new stacking. Do not expect sudden weight jumps. Do not expect fresh white explosions everywhere. What to expect now is subtler. Denser flowers. Heavier resin. Slower drinking. 3/11 🍓🍑 They were a little dry this morning, so I gave them a gallon of water split between the four of them using the light schedule feed🎄 3/12 Z🍓🍓🦍 strawberry and strawberry gorilla are starting to get very tall. They’re becoming huge. I’m gonna keep them at 91 W maximum that might even be a little high. It’s nice to know. They don’t take as much light as I thought along time ago. They really look good. this is the first time I’ve used 2 gallon pots so I have to remember to water more often and spray the bag with neem oil. I can’t tell if it’s runoff salts or if it is some sort of white fungus that’s not good on the outside of the bag, either way, if I spray everything with neem oil before I water including the soil, NO the plants just the soil and the bag makes a huge difference.🎄👍 3/13🍓🦍🍑💦 💦plus silica after about 12 hours, they are looking really good. They’re actually dry again. I’m gonna do watering tomorrow. The CBD plant is going completely different than any other one. It’s really exciting. Bubba CheeseCake is Amazing there total pigs consuming 2 gal of water per day and droping there ph from 5.96to5,1o over night when just last week the ph was rising from5.96 to6.86 daily so its a must to check the ph every 12 hrs to keep it 5.86 were it loves to be in DWC these girls are running out of space from my lights . I have had to bend several tops at 90 deg. to keep them from light burn . everything is going flawlessly so far only need another perfect four weeks .

beautiful with all those colors ❤️ im amazed with my first grow of photoperiods! been a good learning experience! it have also been my first time in a tent, with all of this equipment, comming from growing in a closet without any intake or exhaust fans. cant wait to see what happens the next 2 weeks!

Its done! Even though I expected a higher yield, I'm happy with my first harvest. It could have gone worse. Got 61 grams of the biggest plant, it took eternities, but the yield is pretty decent for a first grow. Thanks WSE! Next up will be Strawberry kush and Harlequin.

. 📹 : Full Video on YouTube @hinterhofgrower 🌱 : soft topping on day 17+20 💧 : 2l day 19 💡 : Dli: 20 mol/m²/d 🤔 : Finally, a plant is growing with wider internodal spacing, even though it's supposed to be Indica dominant. There was the usual overwatering discussion on YouTube. The soil I'm using consists mainly of peat with added perlite. It's also not compacted. In my last grow with this soil, it settled by about 5 cm in the 20L pot. The measured soil moisture reaches about 60% when saturated, but with my current watering pattern, it only reaches a maximum of just under 30%. I think there's always enough oxygen in the soil. I did, however, wait longer before watering this time. The removal of the bottom pair of nodes was also hotly debated. In my opinion, it was exactly the right thing to do. I would have had to remove the large pair of leaves above them to give the two branches full light. I would have had to trim the next pair of branches down significantly to bring them to the same level. In my previous grows, this resulted in small, bushy plants. This meant the buds were very close together and therefore susceptible to mold. Furthermore, the lower parts weren't fully developed. This was something I wanted to prevent in this grow. No more energy needed to be invested in the small branches, allowing the plant to focus on photosynthesis with its large leaves. The result is a uniform canopy.

One of the best plants I've grown so far. Trichomes are crazy Day 4 - most probably last sugar/pk feed before beginning flushing. Major defoliation to expose buds

Beginning of week.. Wow.. Just... Wow lol.. That's all I can say. Amazing scent.. Gorgeous colors.. Very happy and healthy girl. Besides very minor spotting on some lower leaves.. Which I am assuming was from Calcium def.. She is looking great! I'm not sure what this is all about, but damnnear all my plants have this clawing on leaves that are not exposed to the light.. Looks like wind burn.. Looks like nitrogen toxicity.. But I know for a fact that its neither.. Fans are not even really blowing on the plant itself.. And other leaves would also be clawing if it were nitrogen toxicity.. I'm assuming it's just from not enough light exposure.. But not an issue.. She is happy and loving life! At this point I am stopping silica.. Just too many conflicting articles about it not doing any good in flower.. And even causing the smoke to be harsh and the bud hard to break up.. Which does make alot of sense.. I only like to use silica in veg anyways.. And for the stretch.. It just makes more sense to me.. Mid week.. Adjustments need to be made.. The very top of each cola is getting a little bit of clawing.. I'm thinking it may be time to cut back on some Micro.. Maybe even the Floralicious Plus, since they both have so much Nitrogen in them.. She's getting plenty of CalMag, and the other trace elements in the Micro shouldn't be that much of an issue.. Still gonna use the Micro.. Just cut it down from 1mL/L to .5mL/L. Maybe the clawing is just how these plants tend to grow?? I'm not sure.. I see alot of the clawing on her small side branches.. Always have on other grows too.. But maybe I've always been giving them too much Nitrogen in bloom.. Just seems more like a 'not getting light' kinda thing.. But now that it's on the top of the colas.. I'm thinking its a Nitrogen thing.. Anyways.. Such a gorgeous plant! Gorgeous colors.. Amazing smell.. Just... WOW! Lol Next day.. Ok I'm thinking the clawing is getting a little worse.. That's after I fed her using .75mL/L of Micro and about 10 drops of Floralicious Plus.. Both containing a bit of nitrogen.. I'm going to have to completely cut out the Floralicious Plus and just .5mL/L of the Micro.. I hope that doesn't cause any different issues.. It shouldn't.. And I'm going to bump up the Kushie Kush bloom booster a little.. Still not full strength but getting closer.. I hope this doesn't affect my final yeild and/or taste! I will literally cry if the taste is fucked up at all... 😢 lol.. Nah.. As strong as it is now.. I think that would be impossible! I got my new tent in yesterday.. Haven't set it up yet tho.. Gotta get everything ready to switch over soon.. It's still a 2×2.. But instead of 48" tall it's 55" tall.. Which would be a little better for taller plants (not by much.. But still better lol).. Anyways.. No more Floralicious Plus and only about half of the Micro doses (lol) that I intended to use in the first place.. She really doesn't like Nitrogen in flower.. Which is understandable.. But I've never had a plant this sensitive to it before.. Good learning experience for sure! End of week.. So I bought a Brita filter because my tap water is pretty shitty.. 240 PPM - 260 PPM.. I've only ran about a gallon through it and its barely bring it down to 190 PPM - 200 PPM.. I mean.. I also didnt use the actual Brita filter yet.. Just the Wal-Mart brand.. It sucks obviously.. When I run the actual Brita filter in my drinking pitcher.. It can bring the tap water down to about 160 PPM!!! Compared to the Wal-Mart filter.. That is fucking incredible! I'm thinking when I run a couple more gallons thru, it will hopefully bring it down a bit more.. I don't need it to be 0 PPM.. just not 260 PPM.. That's fucking insane! Our water sucks out here.. The plants dont seem to mind very much, but after using the filtered water, instead of the nutrient water being 1150 PPM its barely 980 PPM - 1000 PPM.. NOTot a huge change.. But I think it will help. For harvest, I'll use the FloraKleen once along with distilled water.. Still got a few weeks before thinking about that.. But I always flush with my tap water and can't ever get the PPM below 400 PPM or so... Now about the plant lol... Yeah, it's gotta be nitrogen toxicity with the clawing leaves.. Again, I've went down on the Micro since it has so much nitrogen.. And also cut out the Floralicious Plus.. Sometimes I'll add a couple drops.. But it really makes me nervous lol.. I DO NOT want to hurt the yeild or taste of this girlie! But she is doing good.. Just as a test, I added a little bit of some feminized pollen to a very small nug on the bottom.. Its photoperiod pollen.. But this should create a "fast version" according to Sweet Seeds.. But she is doing good.. Smelling amazing.. Gorgeous colors!!.. Anyways... On to the next week!!!...

Sorry I havnt updated this diary in a couple weeks. I recently had a son and have been so busy. Anyways, this girl has really taken off. When I open my grow room it makes my whole house stink. Right now it's a very sweet skunky scent. She has filled out greatly and for a cbd strain I'm very excited about her resin production. Lately she has been getting a lot of water, slf100, em1, urb, fpj and a little bit of herculean harvest to supplement phosphorus.
