The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. Lost a branch end with 3 nodes accidentally whilst tucking away so now I'm super careful. The Sativa dominant strain is stretching nicely and bends easily. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. She got to big for the 2x2x4 so I had to move it to a bigger 2x4x5 that has a new never before used 320w kingbright so this whole grow is evolving as it goes I had no clue that hydro and 200w in veg would make the plant this big. Temps are much easier to control now in the bigger setup. the 7 gallon res. is loseing about 1 gal a day I top it off and check PH/EC once a day it almost never needs adjusting so that is really nice.

1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 Both "A" and "B" put on an inch overnight. Now that the soooperstunted mutant runt is acting like a normal plant, so henceforth I'll refer to her as "C." 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. Took the ScrOG net out since I had messed up and let the plants get too bushy. Maybe try a full ScrOg next time. This time I think we’ll finish without it. Defoliated a little bit last week and took it slow. Tent smells strong this week when opened, very thankful for the carbon filter in the tent. Hopefully I get better bud development in the coming weeks. Currently watering each plant about 1/2 gallon every 24-36 hours each. Flushing this week then adding new ferts and lowering dosages.

at this week u can compare the stems and bush in the videos, keep in mind this is my first hydro grow and i messed the PPM and PH a few times.. also snapped a whole branch of the hydro plant around week 4. still the hydro plant looks bigger and fatter stem. lol

So as the week ends and I draw closer to harvest(10 weeks of flower 17 in all) of my first ever grow I trimmed dried and smoked a bottom bud that was wasting nutes. Jesus God in heaven it's got a kick already. Send me a like! Make a comment. I'm here alot.

Good morning growers🤗 End of week five.. Four days ago I transplanted this beautiful DOS SI DOS # 33 into its final 20l geotextile pot🌱🌲.. It has direct contact with the roots and I have placed some mycorrhises (MICOSAT F) which will have an action in a span of about five weeks.. Always with the aim of trying to get the best from the cultivated strain I created a potting soil that will potentially increase Brix levels🤞.. As a base I used light-mix soil of biobizz in most, more than humus and inert material, coconut and zeolite in addition to the perlite already present in the light-mix.. To this base I then added various ingredients of organic origin, but almost nothing from animals.. My recipe includes alfalfa, kelp, calcium carbonate, gypsum, phosphorite, azomite, zeolite leonardite, basalt, krill powder, and neem soil.. I will not be here to list exactly how much I put of one element and how much of another because it is a test for me too and there is everyone who tries for himself, even because the quantities to be used will vary from strain to strain🙂.. I have already made such a recipe once, but being lighter with the ingredients.. Fantastic results🤩.. The exposed plants looked like "more natural", I don't think it's a term correct but I don't know how to say otherwise🤔.. Really high quality of flowers, especially as intensity and characteristics of the terpene profile🍋🏵️🍎🍉🍇🍓🍭🍪.. But in words it is difficult to make the idea correctly.. Anyway.. From now until the end I will simply give water, without worrying about correcting even the pH.. The only external additions that I will make will be a little fish emulsion + molasses (fishmix), unsulphured molasses, probably half-flowering banana macerate and maybe I will also make tea, but I will see week by week how to behave.. Buds are slowly starting to fatten up, had another rise in ec runoff which I suspect is because she isn't getting enough feeds per day and salts are building as she takes up water. I'm fixing this by feeding more frequently for 24 hours at a lower ec (1.4) to bring her down to 1.9. Hand watering in coco is not ideal, the next grow will be done on a wilma system to allow for multiple feed per day which should also see even better growth. She's starting to smell great and there is some serious trichome production. Sugar leaves are sticky and the smell as the name suggests is like sweet blood orange soda. Can't wait to see how the buds smell after curing.

Defoliated a little bit this week, because the plants were getting really bushy. Froze the defoliated leaves so I can add them to my smoothies. Also added some bone meal since the plants are definitely flowering now and could use the extra phosporus. Stress killer (back) is still stretching as is to be expected seeing as I probably set her back for a week or so by nearly killing her. Gorilla (front left) is looking really pretty but extremely bushy. Solomatic (front right) is looking fine but small.
