Week 8: Flower - Tale of Two Phenotypes & Lessons Learned 🌿💜 Currently bumping: Payroll Giovanni - 580 Benz 🎵💰 The Phenotype Reality Check: Same strain, same environment, same nutrients—COMPLETELY different expressions. This is one of the most fascinating (and sometimes frustrating) parts of growing cannabis. Let's break down what's happening in the tent. Lemon Cherry (Left) - The Speed Runner 🏃‍♀️ She's moving FAST! While her purple sister takes her time, this phenotype is racing toward the finish line. Current Status: Bulking nicely with solid density Getting frosty - trichome production is strong Trichomes almost mature - surprisingly ahead of schedule! Harvest window: ~2 weeks out The Lollipopping Regret: Real talk—I lollipopped her early in flower, and now I'm second-guessing that decision. Looking at her sister with almost double the bud sites, it's clear I may have been too aggressive with the lower growth removal. Lesson Learned: Lollipopping can improve airflow and focus energy on top colas BUT removing too much means losing potential yield With autoflowers especially, sometimes it's better to let them do their thing Every bud site is potential weight—be conservative with removal The Silver Lining: The buds she DOES have are dense and frosty. Quality over quantity? We'll see at harvest! Lemon Cherry (Right) - The Purple Princess Takes Her Time 💜👑 She's SUPER purple and absolutely stunning, but she's on her own schedule—no rush, just vibes. Current Status: Progressing at a great rate (just not as fast as her sister) Color expression is PEAK - the purple is deep and vibrant Way more bud sites than Left (thanks to minimal pruning) Harvest window: Likely 3-4 weeks out The Phenotype Difference: This is a textbook example of phenotype variation: Left pheno: Fast-finishing, green, fewer but denser colas Right pheno: Slower maturation, purple expression, more bud sites Same genetics, different expressions. It's like siblings—same parents, totally different personalities. Bag Appeal Winner: The purple coloration combined with frost and more bud sites means this girl is going to be STUNNING in the final product. Worth the wait! Apple Fritter - The Dark Green Giant 🍏 She's doing well overall, though showing some signs of nitrogen excess from the organic feeding program. Current Status: Lower leaves super dark green - classic sign of excess nitrogen Not affecting bud development (thankfully!) Progressing well through flower Harvest window: ~2 weeks out (same timeline as Lemon Cherry Left) The Nitrogen Situation: Dark green, almost waxy-looking lower leaves indicate she got a bit heavy on the N during feedings. Why it's (mostly) okay: It's NOT causing nutrient lockout or deficiencies Buds are still developing normally Just a cosmetic issue at this point Common with organic amendments that release nitrogen over time What I'd do differently: Lighter on the Gaia All Purpose early flower, heavier on the bloom-specific amendments. Live and learn! Key Observations & Growing Wisdom Phenotype variation is REAL and unpredictable: Even from the same seed pack, you can get wildly different plants. This is why breeders hunt through hundreds of seeds to find "the one." Both Lemon Cherry phenotypes are good—just different. Lollipopping: Less can be more (sometimes): Seeing the bud site difference between the two Lemon Cherries is a powerful reminder that aggressive pruning isn't always the answer, especially with autoflowers. They have a limited vegetative phase—every growth site matters. Nitrogen in flower: Easy to overdo with organics: Organic amendments like Gaia All Purpose can release nitrogen longer than expected. During flower, less is more. Focus on P and K, dial back the N. Different finish times = staggered harvests: Having plants ready 2-4 weeks apart actually works out well: Manageable trimming workload (not all at once) Continuous supply of fresh flower More time to dial in drying/curing process Speed ≠ Quality: Lemon Cherry Left finishing faster doesn't make her better. Lemon Cherry Right taking her time might result in bigger yield and better bag appeal. Patience pays. The Growing Lesson Summary Phenotype hunting is real - expect variation even within the same strain Conservative pruning - especially with autos, let them keep bud sites Watch nitrogen in flower - dark green leaves mean dial it back Each plant teaches you something - these "mistakes" are actually valuable data Next Week's Plan Lemon Cherry Left & Apple Fritter (2 weeks out): Start monitoring trichomes closely Begin thinking about flush timing (if flushing) Watch for final swell and fade Prep trimming/drying station Lemon Cherry Right (3-4 weeks out): Continue current feeding program Let her take her time—she'll finish when she's ready Enjoy watching that purple get deeper More time = more weight and resin Post-Harvest Planning: Two harvests coming soon (Left + Apple Fritter) One more to follow (Right) Drying space ready Cure jars prepped Already thinking about the NEXT grow 🌱 Payroll Giovanni voice: "Different phenos, same hustle, purple flowers and that muscle..." 🎵💸 Week 8 wisdom: Every mistake is a lesson. Every difference is data. Every plant is a teacher. Keep the music playing and the garden growing! 📚🌿 Same strain, different personalities. That's the beauty (and chaos) of growing cannabis. Roll with it and learn! 💚✨

Switching them to overdrive this week not got a lot to say about them as they aren't doing the best, I haven't bother taking any pics of plant 1 as she's bare will probably chop her down for butter.

Increased their food by a tad. Looked perfectly health raised to about 1900ppm. Again spider mites at it crawling up every leaf and creating a colony. I thought it was over until I sat there nearly every night finding the f*****s and rubbing the leaves with the spray. Defoliation was needed ASAP due to them stretching nicely. Started slowly from the bottom up. (repeated this process every 3-5 days.)

Theyve both reacted well to their topping and fimming and are really starting to take it in their stride. Its been a little cold in my room this week so recovery was a little slow at first but all seems well now. The cheese is starting to bush out and im really looking forward tonall the new tops coming through!

First week of flower! Moved to new 4x2 tent. Monitor run off on nonfeeding days, starting to get lower than I’d like. Going to start feeding a little more and including tiger bloom here soon. Second plant of perpetual grow is up and running; check my banana kush diary for more. Photos/video taken 70 days after breaking soil, day 7 of flower

I have gone through the tent this week, and I have removed a lot of the lower branches on the plants, as they're not going to grow into big colas or anything. So it's better not to waste the plant's energy, developing those to hopefully redirect it into the larger flowers. Orion F1 organic, dry amendments. The plant is really developing the flowers while they look really dense, and like they will be some very top shelf buds! The buds are beginning to stack on weight now, and hopefully, we'll just see the colas become larger and larger as we go on from here! I'm really impressed with this plant so far, and the organic dry amendments are really working wonders, and that's been really eye-opening for me during this experiment! I'm very pleased that Royal Queen Seeds were kind. Enough to allow me to try this experiment with some of the F1 hybrid strains. It has been, and continues to be an extremely exciting experiment, and I am again learning more and more with each plant. I cannot wait for harvest and to see what these buds look like after I've dried and trimmed them! 3.8.25: I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.2 with; 💜 1ml Trace PH: 6.2 PPM: 371 I've just been keeping the medium, not bone dry, but there were some fungus gnats. So I have let it dry out more than I usually would probably, because I wanted to sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth on the soil, and it only works when it's dry. 4.8.25: I watered with 3ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.6 with; 💜 3ml Ecothrive Trace 💜 1.25 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.6 PPM: 385 I am going to top dress next week as I checked and it has been exactly a month since I last did one. Thanks for checking in and hanging out 😁💚✌️🌱🤞🧡

LSD Zamnesia Tripping 🙂 | Final Report — Cure, Smoke Review & Closing The Chapter Well… Here we are. The final chapter of this LSD journey. And honestly, after everything: * from seed, * to flower, * to harvest, * to drying, * to trimming, * to washing, * to temple balls, * to curing, * to finally sitting down peacefully and actually enjoying the medicine… …I can honestly say this run became something much bigger than just “growing weed.” This became a full experience. A full learning process. A full journey. And before diving into the smoke review itself, let’s do one final recap for everyone arriving here for the first time. These girls were grown under 12/12 from seed from the very beginning. No long vegetative stage. Very little training. Almost no aggressive manipulation. Mostly allowing the genetics to express themselves naturally while we simply guided the environment around them. And throughout the entire run, these plants surprised us constantly. Huge central flower development. Massive stacking. Incredible resin production. Beautiful terpene expression. And honestly… some very unexpected structure for indica-leaning genetics. This harvest was divided across several reports because there was simply too much happening to compress everything into one single update. We wanted to properly document: * harvest, * drying, * trimming, * curing, * fresh frozen preparation, * washing, * temple ball production, * extraction evolution, * and finally the smoke review itself. GrowDiaries limits the amount of files we can upload per update, so instead of rushing through everything quickly, we decided to slow down and explain the process properly week by week. And honestly? I’m very happy we did. Because now we can finally close this chapter understanding not only how these girls grew… …but how they evolved. And evolution is honestly the perfect word here. The flowers themselves cured for well over a month, some even approaching two months now. And during that time, the transformation became beautiful. The aroma deepened. The sharp greener notes disappeared. The smoke softened dramatically. And the terpene profile became something honestly very difficult to describe perfectly with words. To me personally? This smells like: * earthy sourness, * soft skunk, * herbal spice, * and a gentle diesel layer hiding underneath everything. Not aggressive diesel. Not overpowering fuel. More like an old-school soft diesel wrapped inside earthy sweetness and skunky herbal notes. And somehow… despite not being truly sweet… it still feels sweet. One of those terpene profiles that almost tricks your brain. The smoke itself became incredibly smooth. Very soft inhale. Very soft exhale. Dense smoke without becoming harsh. And one thing I really appreciated: the inhale and exhale remain surprisingly similar. Sometimes flowers smell incredible in the jar but lose complexity during combustion. This one did not. The flavor stays present throughout the entire experience. Now about the effects… Despite the name LSD, I personally would not describe this as psychedelic medicine. At least not in the “seeing colors and melting walls” kind of way 😄 To me, this is euphoric medicine. Social medicine. Happy medicine. The kind that: * makes conversations flow, * makes music feel warmer, * makes nature feel beautiful, * makes food taste amazing, * makes you laugh more, * makes you relax without disconnecting from yourself. This is the kind of medicine I would happily enjoy: * during a beach walk, * with friends at dinner, * during a peaceful afternoon, * listening to music, * creating art, * talking for hours, * or simply enjoying life slowly. Very balanced. Relaxing without becoming sedative. Strong without becoming overwhelming. And honestly? Very emotionally comfortable medicine. No paranoia. No anxiety. No mental heaviness. No unpleasant race. Just calm, warm, euphoric relaxation. A really beautiful balance. Now let’s talk about the extraction side of this run… Because these girls absolutely shined there too. And honestly? They washed beautifully. The fresh frozen material produced incredible resin quality and gave us one of the most satisfying parts of this entire journey. Everything regarding: * freezing, * washing, * ice water extraction, * collection, * freeze drying, * pressing, * temple ball formation, * and curing… was explained in detail in previous reports for anyone curious about the full process. But now that some curing time has passed… something magical started happening. The temple balls evolved. And this is where hash becomes truly fascinating. The hash you are seeing now looks completely different from the fresh temple balls shown previously because the compounds inside are evolving over time. And that evolution is natural. At first, freshly pressed hash is often: * smoother, * more uniform, * more elastic, * sometimes shinier. But during curing: * oils begin migrating, * terpene fractions separate and recombine, * cannabinoids continue evolving, * moisture stabilizes, * oxidation slowly changes color and texture, * crystalline structures begin appearing, * and the entire resin starts transforming internally. That sandy crystalline texture appearing inside the cured hash? That is part of the evolution process. And honestly… it is beautiful to observe. The hash almost begins looking alive. Changing week after week. Softening internally while crystallizing externally in some areas. Developing complexity. Developing depth. Developing personality. This is why traditional hash makers allow temple balls to age for months or even years. Good hash is not rushed. And the smoke? Absolutely beautiful. The small sample we opened after roughly 15–20 days of curing already showed: * full melt behavior, * deep flavor, * rich oily smoke, * long-lasting taste, * and incredibly smooth combustion. The rest now remains vacuum sealed for long-term aging. And honestly? I cannot wait to revisit it months from now. Final dry flower numbers for the LSD girls: * 287g dry flower * 107.3g dry flower Final total: 🌱 394.3 grams dry flower And that does not even include: * the fresh frozen extraction material, * temple balls, * finger hash, * trim-bin collection, * or future cured resin evolution. For a 12/12-from-seed run with minimal intervention… I’m honestly very happy with these results. We also have to talk about Grove Bags for a moment because they genuinely made curing extremely easy and consistent during this process. For anyone unfamiliar: Grove Bags are designed to help stabilize humidity exchange naturally while reducing the need for constant burping and jar management. Do they replace proper drying? Absolutely not. Nothing replaces a proper dry. But once the flowers are dried correctly, they help maintain an incredibly stable curing environment with much less stress and handling. And honestly? For larger harvests especially, they become incredibly practical. Now… before closing this chapter completely… Thank you. To Zamnesia for the genetics, the Bubbleator, the support, and the trust. To Plagron. To F.O.G. To the LEDs. To Grove Bags. To the gear involved. To GrowDiaries. To the entire community. To the longtime followers and OGs. To the new curious visitors. To the supporters. To the skeptics. To the silent viewers. To the people who stayed since the beginning. To the people who discovered this journey halfway through. To the lovers. And yes… even the haters 😄 If someone spent even a few moments here sharing this experience with us, then they deserve gratitude too. And of course… special thanks to Mr. Baggy for staying with us through every single stage of the madness 😄 From trimming sessions… to washing… to temple balls… to studio chaos… to hash curing… the fluffy supervisor never abandoned his post. And even though this chapter closes here… the journey itself continues. We may return months from now to revisit the cured hash evolution and see how time transforms it further. And meanwhile? New runs are already beginning. New genetics. New experiments. New lessons. New mistakes. New beautiful moments. So if anyone enjoyed this journey… You are always welcome here. Grape Ape Cake ! Lineage; Hotcakes (Katsu Bubba Kush X Burnt Toast (from Raw Genetics) X Grape Ape An Exciting New Collab from Katsu Bluebird ! Welcome back, & or Thanks for Joining me ! Week 15, & the End of 9 weeks of flowering (65 Days of 12/12) Well Here we are, the last flower entry.. only one more entry the HARVEST of these Gorgeously Dank Flowers from Katsu. We are Seven Days into the flush & thus far everyone is holding steady ! Only 3-7 more day's for the group ! As your can see plants One & Five are the quickest of the Pheno's, they received their last watering today & once they dry back 50% of todays water they'll be into 24-48 hours darkness before the chop. As for Plants Two & Four are they Longest running of the Pheno's they will likely receive another watering, & run another 7 days. Plant Three is the one i'm watching closest ! this plant is SHOWSTOPPING... Grape Candies Dipped in Gasoline floods the floor, the moment I open the tent.. This particular pheno may go 7 more days maybe not.. Its very close to the finish line either way... I'm Drooling. The most exciting part about starting to pull plants is the ability for my to take some better isolated Bud Shot photo's ! :)I wish I had the funds to keep upgrading my photography gear but its an expensive hobby...maybe ONE DAY lol!💪 The Boys Club saw a little bit of action this week as well.. a long over due hand job for the jizz monster. I am very excited to cross this guy back with a cut of Pheno 3.. & maybe something else but I need to find it first.. any thoughts ? Grapes &...? This process used to be SO damn time consuming.. until the Trim Bin.. The recommendation is to use 1/10 ratio of baking flower as a natural absorbent to keep the moisture away from your pollen.. as you can see I dumped a bunch out after the first photo lol I cant wait to Share coming weeks as the Wonderful Harvest is almost here ! Thanks for Reading 🙌 If you have a question or a comment leave it down below otherwise, I Hope You Check in Next Week, Stay Safe out there & Happy Gardening Cariboo
