The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. One more week of vegetative growth before switching to flowering although I may need to switch earlier due to the vigorous growth and considering the stretch yet to come. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter

I like my grows to be simple, clean and efficient. The Mars 2000 plus RQS top-shelf genetics, combined with the super-simple RQS organic "Easy" line of nutes is making this beautiful grow! 6 strains, 6 healthy, thriving girls. I intentionally set 2 seeds at 3-4 intervals so I can rotate air space and have 2 harvested every 4 weeks. The organic Easy line of nutes is simple to use, clean, organic and delivers lush, healthy growth. No more mixing liquids. I feed sparingly but always give cal/mag with all waterings/feedings. I pH down water ONLY at the beginning (before feeding starts) or in between if pH runs high and I won't be feeding within 2-3 days. Feeding drops pH in coco and as nutes are consumed pH rises back to coco's neutral 7.0. Simple. I rarely water "till runoff". Lighter feedings mean less buildup. Clean. Abundant, tasty, smooth harvests is my goal and this combo delivers! I'm still enjoying last Fall's harvest of Green Gelato 😎

Disaster! I haven’t been able to see the plants for almost 3 weeks after catching Covid. This one looks like it hasn’t faired too well but we don’t give up. I had someone watering the plants for me but no nutrients. I’m guessing that’s why she’s crisped up so much. We will see, I’m back now and she’ll be getting some nutes on the regular. Fingers crossed we can get some nice bud.

Hey everyone 🤗. This week they both continued to develop very well. Flowering day 35 Today the tent was cleaned, the humidifier refilled and the plants sprayed with Canna Cure :-). Flowering day 36 The plant was watered today with 1.2 L 🙂. They were also checked for their health and pests 👍. Everything looks great 🙏🏻. Flowering day 37 Again the tent was cleaned and fresh osmosis water was filled into canisters. Flowering day 38 Today 1.5 l per pot was poured so that some drainage comes out again. therefor two days are not poured 😋. Flowering day 39 The tent was cleaned, the humidifier was filled, the plant was checked for vitality and the entire electronics were checked for functionality. Flowering day 40 Today she was sprayed again with Canna Cure and checked. Flowering day 41 We got to the last day of this week and 1.2 L were poured again and the tent was cleaned 👍. Not much going on yet. Added some 3d printed supports to make sure they don't start flopping over. Not sure if it's the strain, or my idiocy, but these bastards are soooo leggy. Grr. Watering daily to 15% runoff with MegaCrop 2 part in RO at 0.6EC and 5.6pH. Found Mega Crop gives very stable pH on the right range without any pH up or down needed. Took one day off (3/18) watering to water with Silica Boost at 6ml/gal concentration pHed to 5.4. PPFD 300 at canopy for DLI of 20. PPFD was about 20 for first week while I was prepping and sanitizing the grow room, which might explain the leggyness. If they don't look better after topping, I might pull them and try a different strain. 3/20 - this grow is inspired by the techniques of Bruce Bugbee (PPFD, nutrition, EC monitoring, substrate, environment, etc) and the concept of VPD control, both of which served me very well in the past. The grow room has dual PID controls in my PLC regulating the temperature and humidity to lock in the VPD based on plant age. In later veg and flower, I had CO2 injection on a PID, but that ultimately failed because I couldn't get the humidity down as it got huge. Had too many vent cycles. This year, hope to source or kludge an in-line dehumidifier so I can keep the sealed chamber where it needs to be without wasting CO2. 3/22 no more vertical growth, thank god, leaves and roots are slowly catching up. Patience. EC to 0.7

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days.
