77 days have passed very quickly, at the beginning of this week I was a little worried that something was wrong with the girl, but after talking to my Teacher, he explained to me that it is genetics that do not affect the general health of the plant and those dark purple leaves are not something wrong, this calmed me down and I continue to grow successfully, I have not had a purple variety yet :) this is my first lady like this :) from tomorrow - she will have more space in the growing box, which she will really like, soon she will face considerable defoliation, because there are really a lot of leaves and small branches :) good luck to everyone.

Both were growing like absolute champs! I decided to top really early. i follow basementganjas rules, i will only top autos if they grow like champs, trunksize 3mm, 99% healthy, sidenodes have substantial grow, and are between days 12-16. i topped these on day 12, mainly because at the rate they were growing, i feared they were to put too much time and energy into the top nodes i planned on removing. Also, it would be interesting to see how they handled it. AND BOY, handled it, they did! The 600 ml Dosage of water and nutes from Day 6 lasted all the way to Day 11. On Day 11, i added 1 ml/L of Bio Grow from Biobizz and watered both of them with 1 Liter of tapwater, ph'd down to between 6,2 - 6.3. As mentioned, even though the sidenodes were a tad small for my likings, they did not seem to care. see next week for the further progress!

Howdy All, Happy New Year! The girls are getting close. The pictures were taken on the 29th. Today is the 3rd of Jan. They are getting close as you can see in the pictures. I began flushing last week with just Regeisys and still giving Terpinator. They are not going to finish at the same time, it looks like I have 2 that will go first and then the other 2 within a week or so. They smell great, and as the Pics show they are frosty. Don't want the Trichomes to get to amber, maybe 25% of them and we are about there. I will follow up early next week. Happy Growing in 2020 everyone!.

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. There are two clearly differentiated phenotypes, but they are all beautiful plants.

So far plain sailing, I raised the light as I was riding it a bit close and in a weeks time I will defoliate for the last time and remove any unwanted growth from the bottom.

One seedling streched a bit, but thats not a problem. Besides that, everything went great! 3/3 Germination rate I am very excited to see the ladys grow. We couldnt order our grow equipment, so we started the plants on the Windowstill.

Week 8

It's really hard for a first time grower to grow without the input of others, particularly if you aren't a science type person. Grow diaries and the users who've commented have really helped me make decisions about how to handle the girls. What I've learnt is there's never a right or wrong way of doing something and a lot of your success is based on intuition! This my very first grow. I can't normally keep herbs alive and I had my fair share of disasters with this plant, from stem breakages (fixed with a tape and a ruler) and calculating nutes incorrectly. I LSTd and topped (accidentally initially) and left 2 alone. The ones left alone had the biggest yeild. I harvested at different stages, but within days. The trics were probably at 1% amber, 80% cloudy and the rest clear. A test smoke of a dry bud in a pipe which had been cured for a few days gave me a fun, giggly high that lasted a long time with rolling body effects that left me feeling reallllly good. I made butter out of the fresh wet trim of one plant (2oz of trim) and made 113g of knock out butter. Just a teaspoon had my flying for 24 hours. I was growing these 4 ladies, along with 4 non-auto skunk 1# which have been in veg mode for the whole time. They are beasts right now and I will start a diary for them to document the progress.

Week five! This plant continues to grow despite having some nutrient issues. When the first yellow tips appeared, I thought I had overdone it with the nutrients, but they kept coming back even though I halved the dose. At the beginning of the week, I gave her 0.5 L with half the nutrients and during the week another 2 L of water only, hoping she would recover. Studying the problem, I discovered that it could be more of a K block. Either something is preventing proper absorption, or she is simply not getting enough. During the sixth week, I will try adding 0.25 ml/L of Atami B'Cuzz Blossom Builder to the nutrient chart to boost N and K and see if anything changes. Despite everything, this week she reached 63 cm and is still growing upwards towards the light. The lamp was dimmed to 75% all week and then brought up to 100% on the last day, still at 30 cm. I hope to be able to recover from this minor setback and get the best out of this girl. Week six is coming, are you ready? I can't wait!
