Finally decent temperatures and we can start the flower! They recovered well from the temperature shock and show some growth. They got a massive haircut and trained. Now they can enter flower stage. Each plant got 50 g of Wizzy's Flower 6-8-10 organic fertilizer, 3 g / 10 L of Plant Booster and 1g / Liter Weedtamines. A few days ago. Tomorrow they'll get their dose of Pflanzengeflüster (Plant Whisper) to increase flower production.

"HAS STARTED GROWING UP AND THROUGH OUT A LOAD OF NEW WHITE PISTILS" Flower Day 5-20 Days 50-63 7cm put on in the last few days of wk 9 roughly day 59-63 So, not bothering to measure my plant as I thought it had stopped at 68cm and didn't budge for a wk. Been I flushed her and restarted her on plagron/atami/terpinator she decided hey. Let's put on another 7cm and throw out a bunch of new white pistils. Never had this with an auto before. Very strange. I seen her develop the past 15 days. Very slowly. And well. She's not great bud wise. She's a runt that's extremely largy with a very hign leaf-calyex ratio, I've seen other FGA and some killer bud. The leafs are mainly singled fingered leafs that appeared late into her process. And I just can't reach the stems proper and would cause more harm than good. I was hoping she'd get super frosty and I'd be able to make some bubble hash or something. She is at to throw out a whole new load of white pistils. I decided hey, why not throw her under something a little more powerful. At this stage in an auto grow. I really wouldn't bother, as her bud making energy should be mainly spent and at this stage I'd be if anything reducing light % or rasing my light by 5-10cm for ripening. I'm curious to see what will happen. She is drinking a lot more. So I've upped her PK and added some Atami products and will wait to see what happens. I'm not mad about the way she is. I'm holding out hope this is a freak of nature (with autos you really can never make a grow plan). Even if she does put on some mass it'll still be sparce and far apart. And very high leaf ratio. And it's only been the last few days she started growing up again. I only noticed cause the top was closer to the light, and after looking closer. I see new pistils and bud forming lightly. Will be a nightmare to trim. I hope she puts on frost during ripening.... only more time will tell. I'd of been better off with the fem version. She'll easily go into 12 weeks. Diet/Defoliation Was stuffed switched to plagron. Jungle juice did take her a long way. And truly happy with the results. But, I want to try new things and added Plagron Green Sensation and a few others. And Atami Bloom boosters 390-400ppm feed needed to be PH'ed from 7.9 to 6.5 2x a week. Alga Bloom feeds with Green Sensation is 6-630ppm with Silic Rock & pure Zym, 2x a wk. Terpinator feeds are 350ppm 6.1ph and once a wk. (Ambient tap ppm/ph 105-110ppm 6.75-6.7ph). Defoliation was done at the end of wk 8. She was 68cm for 10 days. And took her height on day 60 she she was 71 now she's 75cm tall. Her leaf ratio is very high. And very poor bud sites. More like larf lights. But, I've got a glimmer of hope. I've introduced new bloom boosters and upped the ppfd to 1000ppfd from 850-900ppfd. Lights SF/P1000s were used up until yday where I then put it under my SP3000 at a 14-10 maybe if I'm bothered ill put it back under the 2x100watts if I feel like it. Most days though I reckon I'll leave them under the SP. Co2 Co2 was shockingly high at 1150 in my tents with the exhaust on. But with no high temp it's useless. And has little to no affect. You need 29-31c. It's a fine balance. Cause when your LVPD Leaf VPD hits 32c your stomata stops and the tiny pores close. I've learnt so much about co2 growing. Now I've the right equipment. And with the summer coming in. I should be able to meet the temp/co2 level with exhausts on and been able to use my Dehumidifier in a sealed grow room. When it gets to winter. I think I'll pack it in. I'm just not getting caught out last summer with the heat. I may aswel take full advantage of the high temps and not having a sealed tent and keep exhausts on, just keep RH down. It should be a lot easier. If I like co2, I'll get a controller for fans/temp/ lights & co2. My one now can only control co2ppm and light. I'll get pic readings later. It also smells mellow skunky but will check again tomorrow it may have been terps overload on my fingers regarding thunder and pink paradise aromas. Pink caylaxes have shriveled and accepted pollen locations. I just don't think the seeds will be ready when harvesting in a few weeks. Start week 5 tomorrow and I don't think crosses will be ready so I will figure it out. Grow Diary Introduction ​This diary was created with the idea of recycling as much as possible and utilizing every single watt of power to its absolute maximum potential. Honestly, you could call this run a survival experiment. ​Right after harvesting my last grow, I reused the old soil and salvaged the previous Biotabs, which were still fairly intact (you can see photos of this in the germination week). These recycled tabs will be the backbone of the feeding schedule for this run. To reduce the bacterial load, I watered the soil with a water and turmeric mixture—though this probably knocked back the beneficial microbial life in the soil as well. For containers, I’m using some balcony pots with built-in saucers that I found out on the street and repurposed. I started the seeds in 0.25L of fresh substrate mixed with a little bit of mycorrhiza. ​Initially, the plan was to plant one NL and one AB per pot, but one AB failed to germinate, so I left one NL to grow by itself in one of the pots. Each pot has two recycled tabs, and so far, they’ve only been fed a couple of times with Orgatrex at 2ml/L. ​They germinated on April 1st and spent their first 45 days indoors. The first week was a real bottleneck for them, as they were placed inside a tent that was in late flowering, meaning the climate was totally wrong for seedlings. For the remaining 4 weeks, they shared the tent and kept the plants of the new indoor cycle company, staying in there for as long as space would allow. Afterward, I moved them to the veranda windowsill. They are currently kept inside, pushed up a bit tight against the window glass, which keeps them safely away from bad weather and pests.Currently, the plants are only getting about 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Because of this, the buds aren't particularly dense, with the exception of the top colas on the Northern Lights. I'll probably dry and smoke those main apicals, as they turned out surprisingly nice and dense visually, especially considering the rough conditions they went through. The Afghan Bullet (AB), on the other hand, developed much smaller buds, but they are more balanced and greater in number. I'll be throwing the smaller NL buds in with these, making it absolutely perfect material for some top-tier bubble hash. As the master Frenchy Cannoli used to teach, overly dense buds aren't actually the best for washing bubble hash; this looser structure is exactly what you want for a great extraction.

Overview: In the second week of our grow diary "Schroedinger's Plants," the Tropicana Cookies, Gorilla Zkittlez, and Apple Strudel strains have shown varied yet overall positive growth under controlled conditions. Each strain continues to progress well, with interventions to address minor issues. Plant Specifics: 1. Tropicana Cookies: Growth: The plant height increased from 8 cm to 11.5 cm throughout the week, showing healthy growth. Health: Plant health remained robust, marked by the continued green color stabilization and decrease in vein thickness initially noted. Interventions: Regular doses of Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt were administered to maintain nutrition and micronutrient levels. A notable treatment for fungus gnats (Trauermücken) using nematodes was applied early in the week, which required adjustments in watering to facilitate effective nematode deployment. Environmental Conditions: The environment was stable with slight increases in daytime and nighttime temperatures towards the end of the week. 2. Gorilla Zkittlez: Growth: Progressed from 7 cm to 9.5 cm in height by the end of the week. Health: Similar to Tropicana Cookies, this strain exhibited signs of early nutrient issues (thickening of veins and lighter green in new growth) that were effectively managed, leading to improved color and reduced vein prominence. Interventions: Application of Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt continued, adjusting as needed based on plant response. Plans to increase PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density) were made to encourage stronger growth responses. Challenges: Like the other strains, initial signs of fungus gnat (Trauermücken) were addressed with nematodes. 3. Apple Strudel: Growth: Showed a steady increase from 6.5 cm to 9 cm. Health: Initial challenges with vein thickness and lighter green patches were managed through similar nutrient adjustments as the other strains. Interventions: Consistent nutrient management with Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt helped stabilize growth and coloration. Caught up with the others by the end of the week, after initially lagging slightly behind in growth. Environmental Notes: The plant environment was kept stable, mirroring the conditions of the other strains with slight temperature increases noted towards the week's end. General Observations and Actions: Pest Management: The introduction of nematodes early in the week helped manage the presence of Trauermücken across all plants, a necessary step to prevent infestations. Nutrient Management: The consistent use of Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt across all strains helped address minor nutrient imbalances seen as vein thickening and changes in leaf coloration. Environmental Control: Slight increases in temperature and adjustments in humidity levels were monitored to ensure optimal growth conditions. These adjustments were crucial as the plants transition from seedling to more mature vegetative stages. Conclusion: The second week showed promising growth and stability across all strains. While minor issues were quickly addressed through targeted interventions, the overall health of the plants remained strong. Moving forward, the focus will be on maintaining this momentum and carefully monitoring environmental parameters and plant responses to optimize growth. The increase in PPFD will be particularly interesting to follow in terms of its impact on growth rates and overall plant vigor. In week 3 we'll also start with LST-Training the Ladies. Cheers,

2/10/24. The girls grew a ton this week. The temperature has gotten warmer (staying around 80 in tent) They were growing more slowly in the lower 70’s previously. They seem to like it hot. The leaves have lightened in color so I’ll be feeding them again and see where we wind up. For the most part Ive just allowed them to grow pretty naturally just to see what they do. They are looking a bit in a need of some defoliation and I think I’ll try trellising them tomorrow to spread them out a bit. In all everything seems to be going well so far.

So far this week I am starting to germinate 4 seeds. 2 are blue dream matic and the other 2 are pineapple Express auto from Fast Bud genetics. I also did a leak test on my diy undercurrent rdwc set up. I should have seedlings by the end of the week. Update 1. Both blue dream have 1/2inch tap roots and 1 pineapple Express has a 1/4 inch tap root. The other one has just opened up. Hopefully that doesnt mean they are going to be slow growers. Update 2. Sorry I dont have any more pictures this week. I dropped my phone and now my camera doesn't work. The 2 blue dream matic are about an inch tall and in rock wool. The 2 pineapple Express auto have not sprouted yet. The tap roots are slowly getting longer. I think it may be the temp of the seed starter. I purchased a seedling mat and have them on it. So hopefully I will have 2 more sprouts. I also have been fighting with fixing the leaks in the buckets. So I bought some flex seal spray and it worked!

Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.

Week 2 for the solo Afghani went smooth. Looked a little slow to develop her first proper set of leaves, but the root development should help speed up her progression. Still feeding off the slow release 444 and is now regularly drinking about 2oz of water every other day. I also spritz the bottom of the outer cup to keep moisture levels high for stretching roots. She's about 36" from the light. Hoping to get a little stretch to make training easier. Added a couple new pics to get the week caught up. Stay tuned, week 3 starts training.

D01 - 25/09 -> New Home for my fellows clones coming from one of biggest plant I ever saw: a Royal Queen Seeds Skunk XL D02 - 26/09 -> I think she has a little zinc deficency, so i dropped down to ph to 5.5 D03 - 27/09 -> Topped one girl to see what happens. If everything goes well, I'm going to topping all of them. Increased EC until 1.3 D04 - 28/09 -> Topping of other buds D05 - 29/09 -> Rest for the girls. Increased EC until 1.5 D06 - 30/09 -> SCROG Net Setup and a little of defolation. Tomorrow I'm going to cut all the branches below the red line (see picture). I want to make a main lining alongside the SCROG Net with 2-3 branches and cut off all the branches below except for the girl on the left that is too short yet. D07 - 01/10 -> I Cut off the branches of only one girl, waiting to see her reaction to the stress before to do the same to other girls. Increased EC until 1.8.

What do you think about these first days? The humidity is not much stable but I’m planning to buy a humidifier in the next week.
