Soft light and some Canna-porn ooh aah 17th - actually got face to face with (Ford) Pink Kush x Vanilla Frosting plant. Its producing a really nice string if Medium-sized Nugs. D29. We're at the start of the fifth week of veg, and today, I finally topped the first girl. I should have done it a while back, but I couldn't decide how to train the girls. Due to how tall the first girl had become, I topped quite a bit of her. I left four nodes, applied LST and some minor defoliation, so now I have eight tops in an almost flat canopy. I'll top the second girl later this week before putting in the scrog net. I noticed how the second girl at the end of the day had drooping taco leaves, indicating that she is getting too much light. I raised the light and will observe tomorrow how she react. This strain seems sensitive to how much light it gets during veg, and I'm curious how it will react once we're in flower. ------------------------------ D31. The first girl has bounced back from her topping and is looking great. I will top the second girl in a day or two, but since she has greater internodal spacing, I will keep only six branches to have both girls at a similar height. ------------------------------ D32. I brewed up a quick compost tea using oat flour as the food source. Some people claim that that will result in a fungally dominant tea, so I thought I'd try it out. I also added humic acid and a teaspoon of myco because why not? Honestly, I'm not sure it is even possible to create a fungally dominant AACT, as the constant water movement will most likely tear the fungal hyphae apart as they form. In any case, a different food source should promote other bacteria than the molasses I usually use. Diversity is the name of the game in living soil. Well, in life in general. I gave each girl 2 liters (5% of container volume) of tea @ pH 6.1. ------------------------------ D33. Today, I topped the second girl. At first, I tried to keep four nodes, but her internodal spacing was much larger than the first girl, so I had to cut her down to three nodes. Some LST followed the topping to start shaping that flat canopy. She looked pretty scraggly afterward but had perked up a few hours later. ------------------------------ D35. We're on the last day in the first week of flower. All is well in the tent, and the second girl has bounced back from her topping. I'll let them veg for another week or so and then flip them. I bought a mushroom grow kit to keep in the tent. I figured I'd test it out and see how it works. The mushrooms produce CO2 that the plants love, and hopefully, I'll get some tasty Oyster mushrooms to eat — two birds with one stone and all that. Yesterday, I gave the girls around 1 liter each of water @ pH6.0, with EM-1 added at 20ml/l, and today the girls got some fulvic foliar spray just before lights out. ------------------------------

Hello Growers & Tokers! The route to having a jungle starts with the roots! That's why my main goal in those first 14-21 days is developing the root system. I like to give them time to expand the roots which is very important for a healthy plant. That also gives them more time to get bigger and stronger before going into flower. More growth, more bud sites, more buds. Trust me the wait is worth the reward. We'll be seeing some truly sweet and zenzational flowers. This week they got transplanted to their final pot, 11L fabric pots. It's one step closer to getting that jungle, zenzational! Medium used was Light Mix from BioBizz. Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots. Let the mycorrhizae do its job and take over the soil, then the roots just follow. I do that to essentially simulate a wind storm, strengthen stalks and roots, also helps reorganizing the canopy as you sorta shake things into place that were bunched up next to neighboring leaves. next week will do a fairly heavy defoliation to allow better airflow around colas

20/01/2025 Seedlings have definitely grown in size! Bottom watered again today. Mixed 3L solution of Calmag, Growell Plus 8:8:8, Seaweed extract (2ml / 1ml / 1ml) and watered 1L per pot. Solution was sucked dry from tray relatively fast, guess the roots are growing. 21/01/2025 Measured PPFD / DLI today and found that my existing light had a relatively low ppfd value output. Reading 50 plus PPFD / 4.5 DLI at 24 inch height 75% power, generating insane amounts of heat if the grow tent is closed. Thing is the max ppfd is about 150 at 24 inches. Can't bring down the lights more without potentially causing light burn due to the high DLI low ppfd ratio. Fortunately I have the tent in a temperature controlled room so I had to leave the tent open to ensure there was good airflow cooling down the excess heat without causing too much of a temp shift. Managed to bring up the humidity by adding a larger humidifier maintaining 60 to 70 % range. Did myself a favour and ordered the vivosun aerolight a200se to go along with the rest of the vivosun kit. Hoping it arrives by week 3! Besides this, seedlings look healthy, did some foliar feeding with homemade wood vinegar (5ml to 1L) after lights out. 22/01/2025 I almost killed my plants with light lol. Turns out my existing light was putting up alright dishing out 1200 pfd from 24 inches at max. I noticed some skewed reading when I was tilting my phone screen so decided to take off the screen protector and damn.. ppfd was at 800 ppfd! It was the screen protector not the lights 😆 Since there were no signs of yellowing or wilting I decided to keep it at 400 ppfd. Bottom watered with 1L each of (2ml CalMag / 1ml Growell Plus 8:8:8 / 1ml Seaweed to 3L phed to 5.9) had about 100 ml excess after waiting for 10 mins so I drained out the excess. 23/01/2025 Fortunately my blunder with the lights didn't cost me too much. Plants still looking healthy, 3rd set of true leaves opening up.

Cut a few of the colas off to dry,alot of the tops are done and now just focusing on the bottom buds to ripen and turn amber :) Had a smoke today of the tallest cola,smokes great and haven't been this high in a long time so impressed with her !

4/8/2023 Week 8- Day 1 of Veg (Day 66 overall) I still have 1, 1/2" of clearance to the net. The Competition will hit the half way point on Wed, that leaves exactly 10 weeks left from Wed. So I decided to go ahead and top off the water by adding 10 gallons to the system today. I added the appropriate Nutes. I am considering 2 plans now that I have decided that I am going to flip to flower on Saturday no matter what. Plan 1, I can evaluate throughout this week and flip earlier than Saturday if needed which would mean draining my system on that day adding week 1 Flower Nutes to the tank and start Week 1 of flower that day. I decided to go before before Saturday I will go ahead and change the water to week 1 flower, the same day I change the lights to 12/12. Then I will wait until the second Saturday so say 10 days if change my lights on Wed and then run Week 2 water/Nutes into Week4 and starting Week 5 change every week for rest of Grow. If I make it until Saturday will keep Week 1 Nutes until Week 3 and then starting Week 4 change every week until done. Hello Friends and followers and new visitors welcome to week 13. 7/30-8/5 Goddesses are doing well. I'm seeing new pistils on some buds throughout the plants. 7/30 pictures videos and ferigate day. Each received 2 liters. Tps1 made at 2 gallon formula. Tps1 22.5ml Signal 9 ml Ec 1.14, cm 1140, ppm 790, ph 5.94. Added 2.5 ml ph up. This raised ph to 7.02 7/31 it's been so hot here lately. I made a lemon icebox pie. Very easy 10 min prep time but a 7 hour wait for chilling. It is refreshing on a hot day. Recipe in week 4 Of my recipe diary. It's infuseable if you make your own crust. 8 /1 took some close ups of the goddesses buds. I'm seeing lots of milky but no amber tricomes at 13 weeks 8/2 Fertilized the Goddesseswith 1 1/2 ltr fertilizer water. 8/3 flushed 1gallon followed by 1 liters fertilizer water. 8/4 no water or fertilizer. Opened tent to let in fresh air. 8/5 Busy today. The ladies in the Goddess tent went outside for their hair cuts. Lots of defoliation. I took off most 3 leaf feeder fans from both Gaia and Circe. Cleaned up cream caramel for the dry leaves. Interesting on Circe, every bud location had a single leaf feeder leaf of course with the three and 5 leaf sugar leaves as well Gaia did not have the single leaf feeder. Checked tricomes in top, middle and bottom buds. It looks like 90% milky. Ferigate 30ml Tps1, Signal 12, cal mag 20. Each lady received 3 ltrs. So, as it goes, I'm still going through boxes of Moms papers. In week 1, I told you about my grandfather establishing a homestead in Wyoming in 1906. Saturday, I came across the original land rights document issued from the President of United States, Warren G Harding, in 1923 to my grandfather. Stipulations of the Homestead act required that the owner make improvements and live there a certain number of years. All of the conditions were met. Let me tell you. Wyoming is dry and windy like a desert but cold. Noone wants to live there even now. The courage and fortitude required to uproot and establish a new life in an uncharted territory was passed on to my mother. Having attended several schools and colleges, she settled in Connecticut and went to Teachers College. After graduating, she signed up with the US State Department to teach overseas. Her first choice was Triest Italy, her second choice Tokyo Japan. We don't always get what we want: she got her second choice, Japan. And as the song says, you get what you need. After Japan, my dad was assigned to Langley Air Force Base in Hampton. The family moved to the states. After a few years settling into life in the states, my mom continued teaching elementary children. In 1969 she received "Teacher of the Year." The school she taught at was located in a low-income area with many underprivileged children. many of the children had reading difficulties. During the 1970s she returned to college to pursue advanced degrees in education, specifically learning disabilities. She changed school districts and once she completed her master's degree, she worked between 2 schools as the reading specialist. She received teacher of the year award again two more times before she retired in the 80's. As I mentioned in an earlier week, she was a lifelong learner. In the 1980's her quest for spiritual enlightenment began. She began attending holistic seminars for meditation, yoga, chakras, crystal energy, spiritualism, healing and many other "New Age" ideologies. I followed this same spiritual pursuit in the '70s and still follow many of the same isms. When I emptied out her apartment when she died in 2020, I came across some of the exact books that I had purchased, and still have, in my quest for spiritual truths. In 1866, Mucha witnessed the death and destruction of the from the Austrian-Prussian warwhen he was a child. After German invasion and occupation, a cholera epidemic broke out and the emaciated bodies were thrown in a mass grave outside of town. WWI broke out in 1914. 1915 Czechoslovakia took steps to become an independent nation. 1917 the russian revolution ended the tsarist regime to an end. 1919 WWI ends. Mucha witnessed first hand the loss and devistation wars bring. It was during the war, Mucha began his famous The Slav Epic. A series of paintings highlighting the trials and tribulations of the Slav nations for the fight for independence. These works of art were given to the City of Prague. After the war ended, Mucha designed Czech postage stamps as well as banknotes that were circulated in 1919-1931. 1933 Naziism is on the rise as Hitler's popularity increases. As the fear of war increases, he paints the "Light of hope". Soon WWII will break out. When Mucha was in his mid 30's he met August Strindberg who introduced him to Occultism and mysticism which have a significant impact on his life and work. In 1894 he bought a 10x13 cm rectangular format camera. This too becomes essential in preparing his compositions, and as a support in its own right. I have shown in my posting the various family photographs dating back to the late 1800's. Everyone wanted to have the latest technology with respect to the arts. Remember the theater was in its heyday. Mucha was painting the posters for the prima donna Sarah Bernhardt's theatrical performances. In 1922 , Mucha is elected Soverign Grand Commander of the Czech Supreme Council of Freemasons and wrote a book on Freemasonry in 1925. This was to mark the 333rd anniversary of the birth of Jan Amos Kaminsky 1592- 1670, consideredby many at that time to be yhe spiritual founder of Freemasonry. The mysticism books I have by Florence Scovel Shinn and Emmitt Fox were written in 1920s and 30s. The universal pursuit of man's higher purpose and the universal spiritual truths are reflected in my family letters. The pervasive topics were the war and the international conflicts resulting from one nation's desire to oppress and control, and through spiritual pursuits, the dream for world peace.
