A lot more happening this week! As shown in the pics, and as suspected, I have a manganese deficiency. I've been keeping my pH level at 6.2 in coco, manganese is taken up best by the plant below 6.0 pH. Dropping my ph level to 5.8 pH, and flushing with lower pH, hopefully it will solve the issue over the course of a few days. I made a new frame for a SCROG, with a "custom bend" in the CPVC pipe on both ends. The bend will allow me to take advantage of the slack material in the sides of my 4x4 tent. I'd previously taken 4" out of all the upright poles to shorten the tent so it would fit in the room due to low ceilings, meaning I had extra slack in my tent walls. The bend in the net frame pushes the sides of the tent out to 5 foot wide. My first SCROG net was a 6" mesh from Amazon, immediately knew I wanted a smaller mesh. Next time around I built my own with a 4" mesh and used the 4" for several grows. This time I decided to go with an even smaller, 3" mesh, and already I like it better. I don't really see myself going much smaller than 3" mesh though. It seems to work well, and any smaller and it may be too tight trying to work the plant through the opening sometimes, which if not careful, will damage the plant. I usually use a & gal cloth pot, grow off rules stated we 0had to use a 5 gal pot. Seeing as I only had 7 gal on hand, I was stuck picking up a Root Farm 5 gal cloth pot locally, as you can see, the roots didn't really stay contained, nor did they "air prune", i had to tear them off before installing the net above. On the last day of week 6 I finally got my net installed, and the plant SCROGged. I should have put the net in place a week or two earlier, it would have been easier to manipulate the plant, however the plant will still have a week to recover. I tie the net in place above the plant, and slowly lower it down, as I bend and super crop the main stalk over parallel to the net, and work all the branches underneath and spread them out. As the plant grows I'll continue to push branches back down through the net and moving them out to the next hole. This will greatly increase yields by allowing light to more bud sites, keeping all buds the same height and thus the same distance from the light. small budsites on a vertical branch, will transform into their own cola once the branch is laid on its side. Instead of a Christmas tree type of plant, with one large main cola, and smaller and smaller buds as you move further down the plant, you end up with a bunch of colas that are all close to the same size, and more importantly, the same level of maturity. The SCROG method, combined with super cropping, and defoliation has greatly increased my yields. As the plant is getting worked into the net, I'll defoliate where necessary, ie a huge fan leaf covering bud sites, however for the next several weeks I'll be defoliating so mush every night or two, systematically trimming off all fan leaves, and stripping everything below the net, and any small bud sites that wont produce well. Usually by the time I'm half way through the flower stage there are no big fan leaves left to be found. It helps with light penetration, which results in a higher quality, higher quantity yield, as well as airflow, which will help prevent White Powdery Mildew and other molds etc. Once a fan leaf is 14 days old, its ability to photosynthesize light, starts to degrade. Once it reaches a certain point, the leaf drains more energy from the plant, than it's giving the plant. My best yields have been from heavily defoliated plants, my last grow I couldn't physically defoliate quite as heavily as usual, and I ended up about 25-30% less bud than expected

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Winter Grow #1 Cheese Dinafem seeds Cheese 27th May 2020 Welcome back , this lovely girl (comfirmed as she is showing her preflowers) is such a bushy lady!! Ive done another series of topping to get a few more potential buds sites but once they grow thru i'll leave her alone as much as possible. Because I lost the greenhouse to another storm. (See Winter grow#2) I cannot go with my original plan to let her flower in it. And I won't be flipping the other plants I'm growing for a few weeks yet so that leaves me with a decision to make on how to proceed. One idea is to set up another small tent with a Viparspectra LED I have and flower her in one weeks time. No feeds other than water this week were needed due to the GHS powdered feed I gave her previously. Thats about it for this weeks update Thanks for stopping by 👍

Day 29. Heavy work in progress, update will follow... Day 30. Job done, most lost almost all big fan leaves, all 3 Kushes where toped. In plans one more heavy training session in a week time, few days to recover and hopefully flower !!! Skunks overgrew Cheeses and start to smell, really to STINK ;)) And i love it !!! Next watering - full feed. Day 31. All Kushes have mini mag deficiency, but i get it with my lights often and know how to fight in early stages. All girls will get 3 feeds in a row. 1. CalMag only 2. Silica acid only 3. Full range of Biobizz feed. After installing new air fans, have to water girls almost every day. Try to feed them only once a week, but pot space taken in full by most of the girls and its time for first mini boost. Day 34. Girls got really heavy defoliation, HST , toping and LST session. First time in my life i trim toped plants so much, but they where reaching sky and stems too fragile for supercroping yet, i do it on branches, but not on mains. So i guess they will slow down a bit ;))) All girls got silica acid after. Happy Growing !

Whats up everybody! Since last week the ladies have been switched to a flowering light cycle. I eased them into the schedule over like three days just to give them a more natural transition. They all got most of their mature fan leaves removed from the bottom sections to open yo the bud sites to a little more light and airflow. After about the first day you could already see the new growth coming in and more bud sites starting to form. I also bent the dominant colas on all three plants to give them all more of an even canopy. Cant wait to see these babies start budding! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄

Hey folks, I have been checking the trichomes, and they have all glazed over white now with some turning Amber. So I am starting to flush with water. I am hoping for a 2 week flush 😀 Some of the branches are falling over with weight, hopefully a good sign. 😅

#43 clones are maturing too fast I feel. Especially that a mother is ripening normally. I would guess it’s because of poor rooting. It’s the only difference. I keep runoff at around 3 max. Around week 5 the runoff ph started to drop below 6. Even towards 5.5. Both in rockwool and coco.

Very happy with the plants growth I think now I have figured the watering and feeding cycles and it shows. I could’ve stayed in the vegetative state for a couple more weeks, but I was afraid of the restrictions of my tent. plants seem to have overcome nutrient deficiency I was seeing last week. I took care of all the light leaks prior to shifting to 12/12. Some leaves were removed for better sir circulation and light penetration.

6/23 Due To The Two 8 Day weeks this week will only consist of five days to get me back on track. SEE LAST WEEK FOR DETAILS. I DID ANOTHER EIGHT DAY WEEK. I'LL DO THIS WEEK AS SIX DAYS. THAT WAY IM BACK ON SCHEDULE. WATERED 6/22. WENT BACK AT NIGHTCAND WATERED ANOTHER GALLON WITH 1/3 TSP Armor Si. I mixed the solution with kelp you kelp me but I dumped it out. I've mixed silica with other nutes before but I had read something earlier about bioavailability issues and I didn't want to risk it. My plants are the healthiest I've ever grown. I'm considering transplanting the large 10th planet that I'm light depping. I also need to develop my ipm and my nute schedule. Still gonna have to keep an eye onvthe water situation. Luckily I have a buddy in my corner that's co tinualkt Bern a great help. WENT BACK OVER AROUND NOON. BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE AND THE PLANTS WERE LOVING THIS SUN. I DEFOLIATED SOME BURNED LEAVES AND MIXED A SOLUTION IF KELP ME KELP YOU THAT I PLAN TO FEED TO THE GARDEN TODAY. IM HAPPY WITH HOW THINGS ARE GOING. WE HAVE SOME RAIN AND THINDERSTORMS COMING. Went back over to put the girls to bed at six and if was still 90 degrees. The water from yesterday had dissipated. The tops were dust dry. I mixed two gallons of kelp you kelp me and fed it to the garden. Afterwards I pointed qbd found a couple plants that were more open to the wind were a little lighter. I know tomorrow will be very hot. Maybe quarter inch of rain. However after that it will rain (showers) off and on for days. I wanted to make sure the girls had what the needed to make it through tjis heat wave until they get that rain. I had another gallon mixed up and I'm thinking I should've given it to them. Oh well. I'd rather underwater than overwater any day. I did notice a burnt top on the plant furthest from the tarp that the sun JUST BARELY TOUCHES when the rest are in shade. I'll just raise the tarp a little. These are tiny problems. Can't upload video until tomorrow. 6/24 Good thing u gave the plants that water. I know it wasn't much but we didn't get any rain. Suppised to get a qtr in today and another qtr in tomorrow. Then rain a couple more days. It's working our really good for my watering schedule lol. Yesterday the girls got there first dose of a bottled nute. They got two gallons of kelp me kelp you (1/3 tsp per gallon) and another gallon of just phed water. I was going to do another gallon but held off due to the threat of syring rain. Didn't get it bur it looks like the plants loved the kelp. It had reached 90 yesterday. They look better today. It's 70 at 9 today. I LST the 10th planet in the 3 gallon. It's getting huge. I should start a separate diary for those three light dep plants. Its cool as hell watching this. One of the purple punches is flowering pretty good. I probably should start another diary for them. I'll be starting to feed my plants soon. Wondering if I should pinch plants again. TUCKED THE LITTLE GIRLS IN AT SIX AND SHOT A VIDEO AND TOOK SOME PUCTURES. PLANTS LOOKED PHENOMINAL! GOT HOME AND AROUND SEVEN IT JUST STARTED RORREBTIAL DOWNPOURS! THE TYPE OF RAIN THAT BREAKS STEMS. I SHOULDVE PUT MY OTHET TARP UP BUT I DIDNT. I WISH I HAD. IM A LITTLE NERVOUS. I KNOW THESE GIRLS ARE STRONG THOUGH! TOMORROW. IM ALSO GOING TO KOOK INTO FINDING A TOP FOR MY CAGE I CAN USE IN INCLIMENT WEATHER. 6/25 That little qtr in of rain we were supposed to get turned into torrential downpours and high winds. Luckily no REAL damage. If you watch the video you'll see what I mean. I'm going to havecto be cognizant moving forward. Noticed a few chunks from leaves butvplants are still healthy. I'm surprised how well these girls withstood this storm. They are certainly resilient. The 2 purple punch 1 10th planet that I'm light depping are flowering nicely now. They missed all the commotion from the storm as they were inside. It's smelling good. I'm happy. 6/26 It's what a friend would say is "maineing") out. That mistcthe plants love. I'm surprised the plants are doing as good as they have been considering the wind. Will be adding nutes soon. Need to add extra supports too. Light dep 6/27 Brief periods or torrential downpours. Light depped 3 gallon 0lants are under an overhanfcwhete the hatsxrain can't hurt them but they still get sun. They are really starting to flower now! I'm going to begin feeding with a base nute and a flower nute I think. I'm thinking about giving the light dep some open sesame or something similar. I need to set up a nute program soon but the plants ALL look so healthy! And it's been raining! I've only watered like once or twice since they've been in the big pots. I've seen zero pests aside from a chunk missing from a grasshopper. Usually by now I'd have battled half a dozen things and be battling another half dozen. However I was posing from clones. These are seeds and boy don't I see the difference!

Not much happening this week. Unfortunately i may have overfed PK as thought the bottle said 7ml per L but instead was 0.7ml. Noticed tips of leaves the next day browning so checked the feed chart again and pretty much shit myself. Flushed all 3 plants for about 5 mins and now they seem ok hopefully.

Day 57. Statement : Even with hard beginning - thats my best run ! Zamnesia is AMAZING !!! With veg hiccups, they still bushout to really nice plants in less than 7 weeks. Now Blue Dream is targeting my roof, Kalini Asias are thick as f@ck. Runtz very dense plants, thought they would be a bit bigger ... They drink every 36 hours, hard to keep up with work, but i do my best not to screw up with them ;) This week : feed, water, water. Defoliation too !!! Day 59. That game - "who will reach sealings" - I don't like !!!! Moved lights two days ago ... Soon i will need axe for my roof !!! ;)) That Monster Blue Dream is insane !!! Hope will do heavy defoliation in two days, maybe this will shock her ;))) other plants keep up with her and canopy is even without all three Blue Dreams. Huge plants. Day 60. Video is showing how less space is left, but they just keep climbing !!! ;)) Day 61. Thinking to defoliate all girls tonight, but maybe i will do it after next watering. Had to reposition them, loads of branches need to be chopped, some didn't see light for last two weeks( Curly, looks like sh$t, will never reach light). Girls are too big for my setup and i really hope it will be enough light and HEIGHT for them... And so Defoliation has started !!! Hope everything will go fine !!! All done !! This week was the last one for the Cashew Kush and the Blackberry Cake! I watered them with clear water 2 times before the harvest. I will harvest the Jack Herer in one week.
