Fruity Durban | Flowering Week 4 🌸 Week 4 is in the books and this lady is finally starting to show her true potential. The stretch seems to be slowing down and the flowers are beginning to stack nicely along the branches. Bud sites are everywhere and the structure built during veg is now paying off, allowing good light penetration throughout the canopy. During this week I noticed the plant was looking a bit hungry. The leaves became noticeably lighter, so instead of preparing an enzyme tea, I decided to give her a fresh top dress to replenish the soil food web and provide some extra nutrition for the upcoming bulking phase. One unexpected issue appeared during the week: my timer started malfunctioning. Every day it would randomly stop at 16:00, which obviously isn’t something you want during flowering. After troubleshooting the problem for a few days, I finally replaced it with a new unit and everything is now running smoothly again. Despite that inconvenience, the Fruity Durban didn’t seem to miss a beat. Growth remained vigorous, flowers continued developing, and the first hints of frost are starting to appear on the sugar leaves. The living soil bed is performing exactly as intended. The thick mulch layer is keeping moisture levels stable, the worms remain active, and the soil ecosystem seems healthy and resilient. Looking ahead, the next couple of weeks should be the most exciting part of the cycle. Stretch is nearly over and now it’s time to focus on flower development, resin production, and hopefully the first real terpene expression. Thanks for following along and see you next week! 💚

A smaller one on where i applied 2 techniques, a double topping (Topping x3), and a bit defoliation as can be shown in the video, she ended up with 0.5 m tall, 4 main colas, and the most dense buds i had among my autos. @Weight: The weight dried was surprisingly equal in both plants, while the bigger plant ended up in 67 gr, the small one was 62 gr and with much more bud density and crystal concentration, anyway both plants were very dense and crystal poblated. On wet, the weights were 276 g vs 226 g the smaller, what is translated wet2dry in a 24,28% vs 27,43% for the smaller one FTW!. That difference is very well appreciated in the density of the smaller plant buds, while both are very dense/compact/strong, the smaller plant buds are really MoonRocks. @Trim: Well well well, this part was awesome, very very very little amount of trim material, i finish the trimming of the bigger plant in about 6 min and 15 for the smaller what is real awesome in both cases, and the quality of the trims was incredible too, very good to ice wash it. @ Final product: The final product is almost equal in both plants, the smallest one acquired a stronger taste and concentration of crystals than the taller one, while both tastes are strong grapefruit, when you smoke buds from the small one is like real eating a grapefruit and it leaves a residual taste to orange some seconds after exhaling it, and when you touch or tear up any of both plants, the smell is also very strong to Grapefruit. My friends were shocked by the strong taste and smell to grapefruit it has, really. Bruce didn't give them colors I wanted off her but still has the looks and that sweet aroma maintained. Her trichomes really clouded up fast within this last week. Bruce Banner Fast does have a very few amber trichs as well which is perfectly fine with my liking. **She'll be going dark on the 18th for 36-48hrs. before her harvest. As usual, I also remove the top couple inches of 'loose' soil to help aid her in the drying process. 💚💪♨️💚💪♨️💚💪♨️💚💪♨️💚💪♨️💚 Oozing with plenty of resinous and bulbous flowers, this bulky Hulk is ready and prime. 👉Rock on to all showing the love! Switched the Big bud to Overdrive give them that PK boost there needing, frosting and stacking nicely.... took the tip out of 90% of the top bud and I mean the tips like 1 maybe 2 calyx hopefully make them start swelling more instead of vertical growth 🤟

Starting to see some fade in the leaves now, it's getting closer to harvest. It's taken the willpower of a monk to resist chopping these ladies down. But I've seen enough videos to know that time rewards all who growth the holy plant 😂

Week 15 brings fading leaves and denser buds..when I squeeze them they feel rock hard! I think in 1-2 weeks she will be getting chopped. I will continue to flush for that fuller fade...hoping to bring out some colors during this and maximize terpenes and trichomes. Looks like I'll have to pay close attention to those yellow leaves when trimming...I did trim up one bud and it took a bit of time for me to get everything clean off. I'm so excited to harvest her it's been a loooooong journey for an autoflower!

SUNDAY 5/19: I accidentally left my UV timer in the "ON" position all night and half of the next day...fearing sudden death, I have moved everybody that was almost ready into the dark tent, including the two Candesias that had already been flushed twice, and will start harvesting them tomorrow..maximum UVB stress for about 20 hours...if it works out that they are even more potent than expected without turning brown overnight, I'll claim it was "intentional," and purport it as an "advanced technique" 😉 MONDAY: The big one (Candesia #2) still looks fine after the mega-UVB incident, so she's still sitting in the dark tent. I flipped on the green light and went into the tent for a sniff test on everybody. #2 smells more like an Amnesia than a Candy Cane. Ima kill her tomorrow and let her hang dry. The small one with polyploidy (Candesia #1) in the dark tent, also looked fine, but to keep my workload smaller tomorrow, I went ahead and harvested her today. She smells and looks more Amnesia. She was wet-trimmed and is in a drying basket. The other two (and the mystery plant) are still in the big tent under lights. I will probably start flushing them tomorrow..but maybe they will just get watered..kinda slow to cloudy all the way up. TUESDAY: I harvested Candesia #2 today and hung her to dry in the dark tent. She got more of the Candy Cane genetics, but her aroma is special. Candesia #3 got flushed for the first time today and moved directly below the UVB. I lowered the lights by several inches and increased the lights to 20/4 for their last week in the "sunshine." WEDNESDAY: I took a few photos today of the living after trimming a few harvested plants. The high temp in the tent is now just 82f, and it drops to 68-70f while it's dark I added some 450nm blue panels to try and "winterize" the environment a little more. Candesia #3 has the aroma of Candy Cane, but is really kind of a unique color palette,..not like the Amnesia or Candy Cane parents. The mystery plant is definitely a Candesia.. the aroma and bud color/shape is unmistakably that of her Amnesia Auto mother. She's Candesia #4..also known as "Pipsqueak", due to her diminutive stature. THURSDAY: Today I realized that a plant I thought was a Candy Cane is actually a Candesia! She's now known as Candesia #5...she's the one that I had to remove the main stalk which had already FIM quadrupled..butchered...sad day. She's fattened up a little bit, but is still kinda puny. However, she's more resinous than any of the other 4.👍 FRIDAY: I'd say they've got about an average of 20-25% amber trichs now..second flush tomorrow.😀 SATURDAY: I flushed them for the last time today with a few gallons of ph'd spring water only. I took some photos, and it will likely be their last photo session until they've been harvested. I'm seeing a lot of UV damage to the leaves from the 20 hour blast I accidentally gave them. They'll be fine, but it's just gonna make the trim job a little harder.

Big Tent is Ready

Green crack is a big beautiful specimen of a plant , starting to show some lush hues of purple and green and turning into a real Monsta , I’ve never been happier with a plant than I am with this green crack . My fave strain to smoke and by all estimates she’ll be well over 10 oz when she’s done in a few weeks . This week I’ll keep her going hard then start winding her down next week . She’s really going to enjoy having the tent to herself the last few weeks once the wedding glue comes out and will fatten up her already dense buds and eat up the space . Week 13 in the garden, and it's been a week of contemplation and admiration. Despite my initial plan to flip the plants, I decided to give them another week in vegetation. It's like I'm sculpting a masterpiece, carefully grooming the plants into a perfect botanical sculpture. Working with my plants feels like art – it requires skill, love, dedication, and a sense of playing God. As I look at the tent, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and joy. These green beauties are turning out amazing, and I'm filled with overwhelming happiness whenever I get the chance to speak to people about them and show them off. But the time has come to take the next step in their journey. They're being flipped this week for sure, ready to embark on the next chapter of their growth. It's bittersweet, but I know it's all part of the magical process of growing these wonderful plants. Here's to Week 13 – a week of artistry, joy, and the promise of new beginnings. 🌿🎨
