For my medium and nutrients I decided to also switch things up from my regular Organic runs, going with Plagron Nutrients and Root Royale 70/30 Coco/Perlite. I've got the AirCube system dialed in now and the plants have responded beautifully! I've upped the nutrients to 650ppm's and am running the PH at 6.0-6.2 @ 74℉. Tent temperatures are running 73/80℉ during lights off/on, RH is being maintained @ 65%, and co2 levels at 1150-1300ppm's. I upped the output of the HLG 650R to 65% via a TrolMaster Hydro-X Controller, and have it hung 28" above the plants. 10/20- Yesterday, I drained and cleaned the reservoir and 'brain bucket', then refilled the system with 60L of well water to which added the following: 100ml each of Plagron Cocos 'A' & 'B', 30ml of Plagron Power Roots and 45ml of Botanicare CalMag+, and 3 tbsp. of Plantonics Amino Bliss amino acids for a final level of 650ppm's. I then checked the ph and adjusted to 6.0 @ 74℉. I have also set the GrowAce AirCube system to 'Auto' mode and have it set for three 15min feedings a day, six hours apart, beginning two hours after 'lights on'. 10/22- All three Strawberry Gorilla's are looking really good now with great color and vigor. They all have their forth leaf set emerging now and their node spacing is fairly tight currently. With the girls doing well, I'm primarily concentrating on maintaining a consistent environment in the 4x4, paying close attention to temperature, RH, co2 levels and VPD. The three times a day feeding schedule with Plagron nutrients ( Cocos A & B, Power Roots) continues @ 650ppm. I am also checking the reservoir before each to monitor and adjust the PH and nutrients when needed. I have noticed that after each feed the reservoir PH climbs 0.9of a point to 7.0, so I have been adding 30ml of Safer Grow PH Down which brings the PH down to 6.1. 10/24- Today I drained, cleaned and flushed the AirCube reservoir and 'brain bucket', then filled it with 70L of 74℉ well water. After filling I added the Plagron nutrients separately and also began adding in Plagron Royal Rush. The feedings of Plagron nutrients continue three times daily, and I'm monitoring the reservoir before each, adjusting the nutrient level to 650-700ppm @ 5.9-6.2 ph. The tent environment has remained dialed in with the VPD averaging 1.40kpa over the last seven days. The Strawberry Gorilla's are responding well to the feeding schedule, and are also tolerating the increased light output which I now have set to 80% along with setting the co2 levels to 1100-1400ppm. The weather at the beginning of the week was still pretty bad so I kept the plants inside for three more days. After that, the sun appeared and the temperatures rised a lot! I finally put the plants outside! 😎

Apple Strudel is finally finishing the stretch. She grew right into the lights of the VGROW so I had to move her into the 24" x 48" x 72" Super closet to finish Flowering. I just did a defoliation and spread her out for better light penetration. Time for her to start packing on some bud! I just update my Grand Daddy Purple diary with dry weight & some pictures. Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

Week 3 Day 1 8/26/2023 Water Change Day!! Added: 36 gallons of Water TPS SILICA GOLD-.5mil/Gal Root Drip- 1mil/Gal CALMag- .5mil/Gal GH FLoraMicro-4.2mil/Gal GH FlroaGro-3.8mil/Gal GH FLroaBloom-3.0Mil/Gal ORCA-.5mil/Gal She continues to look Amazing and to be doing an amazing job! Week 3 Day 2 8/27/2023 Topped her a little and took a little from the bottom. The PH was just a little high so I added 4mil PH down to get it to 5.86. Week 3 Day 3 8/28/2023 Topped her a little and just enjoyed her beauty. Week 3 Day 4 8/29/2023 Topped her a little, and started cleaning up the lower 1/3, I am starting with the fan leaves that are touching the clay and some of the lower, lower portion but leaving the stems for when I take clones. Week 3 Day 5 8/30/2023 The temp has been getting to 79-80 the last few days and I don't like it that high. I lowered the light to 29 inches and decreased intensity to reach the 350ppfd for the plants. By dropping the light it should also drop the temperature. I took a few bottom leaves as I start my clean up, leaving the lower stems for clone material for now. Week 3 Day 6 8/31/2023 Found out why the temp had been getting so high in my tent and my grow room, the controller for my other light for my other tent was malfunctioning and overheating. I guess this was the unknown contributing factor to the sudden increase in temp, how am I sure about this, because the light no work no more. I am working with Spider-Farmer Warranty since the light was under a year old, very sad day yesterday was to replace my SE 7000 on my breeding plant which was in week 9 of flower with a VS2000 I am thinking I am going to have to cut my losses. On a good note she looks Amazing full on Growth Spurt happening, I adjusted the PH up slightly to get it from 5.81, to 5.89. Tomorrow Measurements incoming. Week 3 Day 7 9/1/2023 She is looking beautiful this morning! I took off some lower leaves cleaning up the bottom 1/3 but I left some of the Stems because I know I am taking clones in a few weeks. She has grown 5 inches over this last week.

She is officially on the 6th week now and here was how week 5 went! It was the most dramatic week so far, really started to fill out now and even the popcorn buds and starting to get some weight too. Now it’s just waiting for her to finish swelling then hopefully we will see her nearly ripened by end of next week! Smells fab! I can understand where the cookie idea comes from, my room smells like I have a warm batch of a variety of biscuits and cookies fresh out the oven cooling off!

We're into the start of September and they've only just begin flowering. Hopefully they get to finish. It's looking to be mid to late October!

Day 64, 22nd of November 2021: Hi there! Here we go..... so basically pistils are appearing stronger this is the 2nd weeks since they started producing pre flowers. The plants getting a bit light might be some air circulation problem? However they look good and of course closer to the end the gettin' older so the leaves also die. Set up and timing is the same since flower season started. ViparSpectra XS2000 is on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity. Ventilation: 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hour on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan. The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min. That's all a bit more water for them from today also. Humidity quite the same approx 50%, temperature as well approx 26-27 Celsius. Fertilization remains the same since last week, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above. The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.

Day 78 Day 28 flower 19/07/24 Friday Started the week with a good watering as she had a double feed end of last week. She took 4L de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 and no run off, added another 1L and see run off forming on all sides. She is a happy, strong 💪 plant !! The buds development is nice on this strain! I like to see the calyxes stacked like this, I'll get some macros tomorrow. Smelling like lemon sherbet it's insane 🤯 or a old school sweety shop. Day 79 Day 29 flower 20/07/24 Saturday Nothing to report. Day 80 Day 30 Flower 21/07/24 Sunday Big feed again, de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 added nutrients. Seeing her stack now 🤩 Smells getting stronger daily 🙌 💚 Added a short video. Day 81 Day 31 Flower 22/07/24 Monday De-chlorinated tap water only today pH 5.9 and watered in 5L had a little run off. She is getting so thirsty it's awesome! She is starting to stack them calyxes. Update on pictures and video 📸🤩 Day 82 Day 32 Flower 23/07/24 Tuesday FEED again today , De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Full 5L had about 300ml run off. She is so thirsty !! 5L a day now. But it's showing, calyxes are stacking beautifully, the trichomes production is nice and starting to have a magical effect with flash 📸 🤩 Day 83 Day 33 Flower 24/07/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Did 4L and started to see run off so left at that. Day 84 Day 34 Flower 25/07/24 Thursday END OF WEEK She really has packed on weight this week, thirst and hunger is hard to keep up 😅 Smells phenomenal, looks insane. Pic+Vid update
