September 2, Day 43. I removed the trellis because it was annoying and I realized the spaces were too large and that's why it felt clumsy... Kabob sticks are doing the trick so far. As I was clipping some leaves to prepare for flowering, I noticed roots growing through the bottom of the pot. I hate transplanting plants so I sat the current pot in another pot that was filled 30% with additional coco coir that had been prebuffered with seedlings strength nutrients to avoid shock. I am confident the roots will continue their journey through the first pot and into the additional space below. Now to observe for a few days, aiming to switch to flowering next week. I have removed at least 30 leaves throughout the last week and she is still looking so bushy and healthy... Thanks Recharge. I am going to start a second grow under this diary called Kaboom Baby, La Reinita Africana. Update, Day 46, September 5, 11am. Fed and watered with all nutrients except Recharge. After I changed the water (flushing, so to speak) She quickly started pulling the rest out of her leaves. Since I wanted to use the whole plant, I harvested it early, as many of the leaves were already starting to crisp up.That was the sign for me: now the leaves are rubbish. She also had two beginnings of pollen sacs And wanted to pollinate itself to ensure its offspring, like cannabis likes to do in nature when it is allowed to flower. I really enjoyed the grow, it was my first cup that I took part in. Thank you all for your attention, for looking at my diary and for following the growth a bit. These girls are still perfect. You want a picture perfect set of plants and it's these they are all damn identical i am still blown away by how close they are from growing from seed! The only real diffrnce is 1 has slightly wider smaller leafs so more leaned indica hybrid but all the spacing between the 4 are about the same. They have been receiving about 500ml of food/ water about every 3 days with the ph at 5.6-5.7. Will top these girls soon to get a couple heads started just didn't want to end the symmetry. Still no smell or sign of preflower yet, with a stem rub they feel sticky to touch and only smell green so just tells me they healthy. Soon a smell will come along! Peace be with you!

Week 8 saw the plant stack on some very nice starter buds. I can already see where the colas will stack and fill out to form lovely nuggets by the end of the run. They look to be dense already which is always a great sign! Weather here in OK has been vacillating between overcast rainy days and full sun not-a-cloud-in-the-sky weather so she has spent an equal amount of time under an HID as she did the sun since the last update. Usually she is outdoors from 11am to sundown and then I move her inside under the HID for night hours. She gets a four hour lights off in early morning before setting her back out in time to catch the noon sun. It seems to have worked pretty well splitting her time in this way and I feel a lot better about it than if I just let her spend 24/7 outside. I feel her auto genetics would not benefit from the extra dark time associated with a pure outdoor run. She already doesn't get full sun for the entirety of her time outside due to trees and other houses blocking sun during certain parts of the day. This seems to be a nice balance but I realize it doesn't qualify as a true outdoor run. Still doing daily checks for aphids and other undesirables as Oklahoma has lots of them that can devastate a plant in a matter of days if not monitored closely. I keep her a good distance from my other outdoor plants and she never touches the ground. So far so good. I did lollipop her toward the middle of this week and proceeded the next day with aggressive defoliation to open up light penetration to the rest of the mid-section. As always, the cultivar responded well to my interference. I am seeing some rusty spots on otherwise green leaves and some very light yellowing of the plant overall. I hit her with another dose of nutrients and some recharge to hopefully correct. Not sure what the rusty spots are; hoping just some pH flux that will be easy to correct. The girl has been blooming for six years now, now I'm just waiting for the trichomes to turn white and finally there will be a harvest. So far they are transparent and the buds are not yet ripe, I will have to wait 😉

~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2206 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/1- I soaked both seeds for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged roughly 24 hours later. 12/3- Today their tap roots were about 1/2 to 3/4" so at 11 am I transferred them into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph using a tine off of a plastic fork as a 'mini trowel' to make a hole in the pellet and to gently cover the tap root, leaving only the seed head slightly exposed. This method accomplishes most of the initial work the seed has to do by eliminating having to orientate itself, push it's root down and head up. By 10pm the #1 seed had her cotyledon leaves opened and the #2 isn't far behind! 12/5- Well this is Day ONE for the #2 FBT #2206 and the second day for her sister! I'll keep them in the covered/heated Jiffy tray until I see their roots beginning to emerge from the peat pellet, then I'll transfer them gently into their respective fabric pots. The #1 will be going into the 4g Gronest pot from FastBuds and the #2 will reside in a 3g pot by Wraxly, which I'm trying out for the first time. 12/7- Yesterday I checked the #1 tester and she had roots starting to emerge from her pellet so I transferred her into her 4g Gronest pot. After making a hole in the medium for the peat pellet, I coated the entire surface with Xtreme Gardening Mycos then placed the pellet in the hole and planted her in. Lastly, I watered her in with about 4oz of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of FishShit added which was then ph'd to 6.4 @ 75℉ after which I placed a humidome over her for 24hrs to ensure that the humidity stays constant. The #2 tester is doing great and I'm confident that she should be ready to transfer into her fabric pot in the next couple of days! 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Pretty average growth, the leaves are a little funky. I am trying to keep the soil from drying out to a crisp. Plant 1 is taller, Plant 2 is shorter with leaves a little further along.

Need to bring back humidifier for couple of days. RH was low trough whole week Day RH is moved from 45% to 50% max, at night times drop to 40-45% Next week outside temperatures continue above average for this time of the year. Pheno 1 produced 12 o and pheno 2 was a terrific yielder producing 16 o. Very happy with quality and yield.

21 september She is really close. Weather forecast is pretty good the last part of this week. She has 3 or 4 more sunny days to go. After that she will be harvested in steps. Big first, bottom second. Probably couple of days in between. Same process for all my plants. MAROC was also harvested like this during the past week. It was a tense few weeks with all the rain we had. I had to cut out some buds to keep mould from taking over but i managed to keep the damage under control. Biggest surprise was that fungi now grow underneath the plant as well, not just in the buds😅 Lovely sight to see!!

They are in small felt pots for now, but I plan to transplant them in to big pots very soon. I want to try to avoid root bound plants... I've got some 30gal pots lined up.

Bit of a cursed week in the grow room. One of my girls (cat) fell and crushed my vegging Atlas F1. The good news is both are fine, no problems. Secondly, I'm a bit disappointed in myself because I've stressed the Atlas and the Epsilon. It's either too much DLI or the increase in room temps, or maybe a bit of both — however, the plant VPD has always remained around 26–27 °C, so I'm assuming it's the DLI. I've dialled back the lights and brought the room temp down to 26 °C, and I've decided to let them flower for another week, take a look at the situation, but I'll probably harvest early. Apart from that, they started to strip the lower leaves again, so I've upped the nutes and now give the Atlas 1.75 L a day and the Epsilon 1.5 L a day. I'm really interested to see how this develops over the next week.
