Good plant! Was attacked by flies (Sciaridae), thrips, tetranychus and a monster cat but always remained strong! The attacks had just slowed down the growth (this little one has 2 month of growth). Even in microgrow, the blooming is really impressive: as fast as an indica but for as long as a sativa. The genetics is not perfect: some parts of the same flower were too mature and some new parts swere still emerging... it's a research strain! The smell is really good and relatively light comparing to others strains. After few volacano : the weed taste like "tropical soda" or passion fruit mixed with cream. The effect is much stronger than I expected for a THC-CBD hybrid, is more indica than the pure indica: the afghan side + the CBD relaxation make a real sleeping medecine. => The taste and effect are really different from every other strain, try it!

Smells beyond good and definitely got me high before it cured so it is good with me. I let it dry for 10 days then chopped. The Total weight after was 2.5 ounces, this plant took some beatings I will let all the stems grow out next round, I want everything lol.

9/27 34 days old. Buds are coming on fast. This plant is in the corner of the tent and is not fully under the light. Buds are not growing as fast as the main plant. Still the plant is doing well for being so young. Fed today Fox Farm open sesame and Remo natures candy. 9/2 watered today. This plant is very oily and smells great.

Week 5 of the flowering for the gorilla gas has finished up. They are definitely smelling really nice and stacking like crazy. All different smells and sizes. The tall one is fading and could probly use some more nutrients but I'm not going to push a lot now. Just coasting till the end. 3 more weeks. Everything is looking really good for the most part.

We’re in the seventh week of flowering, and the plant is looking absolutely stunning! It’s starting to show beautiful purple colors in many places, all the way through the buds. The colors are really popping, and it’s giving the plant such a unique look. On top of that, it’s smelling incredibly sweet—strong and fragrant every time I open the tent! 🍬🌿 Most of the trichomes are now a milky white, which is exactly where I hoped they’d be at this point. I’m sticking to the BioBizz week 7 bloom schedule, knowing it’s almost time for the flush. 🌱💧 Everything is going so well, and I’m beyond excited to see how it turns out in the final stages. Just one more week before the flush, and then we’re almost there! 😁✨

Week 12 Started on June 19, 2022 Finally recovered and lots and lots of defoliation happened, I am talking a compressed ball of leaves and stems the size of a softball. That means I got rid of most the weight below the buds, snipped the buds I didn't want to see straggling, and lollipopped colas -- left a few leaves on. Took a few clones to see what happens. She is doing well, more pics soon. I cleaned the reservoir again, fresh water, drained the autopot and made sure my Ph is 6.3 to 6.7 Adding weak calmag+ to deter the iron lockout I think I saw in early week 11, figuring out dosing now, might need a bit more. Not a ton of nutes added as the plant is progressing well, added a tiny amount of MOAB, also just thinking my single COB flower light is gonna be too weak on its own. We'll see it's early yet. Might need to turn on the supplemental light next week, old school HPS 150 Watt on its last grow. The heat will drive the humidity way way down, and that will be a good thing, just gotta crank the fans on high and no looking back after that. That will be 400 watts in a 3x3 -- HPS is hot as can be. When compared with growth like this: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/135853-grow-journal-by-kushdoctor/week/766680#gallery=5630051 I worry about the size right now on day 18 of flower, not that big and no sugary stuff yet, I think I need to let her just grow and perhaps add just a bit more flower nutes, but I will wait until she fills in just a bit more, I seriously took off SO MUCH, but last grow I should have taken more off than I did, I was was super aggressive, I don't want larf.

Not many changes this week buds starting to fatten and pistils are turning brown but trics are still clear/milky. Waiting on the first sight of amber to start the flush 👍🏼

So the end of 3 and entering week 4 these girls are a little sad today as been working on finishing their little grow space which hopefully they'll settle into over the next few days. I have tried too upload images but no luck keeps saying resizing no matter where I upload from 🙄 The girls are taking off and I can see the difference in growth allthough they've been unsettled past few days 🌱 Still loving the aptus range and so am I its keeping these girls healthy even the topped girl hasnt really reacted too being topped 🌱👌 I will be doing some hst/lst with the other 2 this week as neglected them slightly as having the fastbuds testers all potted up into new shoes. I will try update more images tomorow... Stay blessed 💚

Well once again I’m blown away with the genetics from Fastbuds. I only wish I had more room for them to really grow. I’m growing Fastbuds Smoothie outside and hoping that’s going to thrive in lots of space. Anyway the Cali Snow is smelling divine and really stacking up nicely. The grapefruit continues to fatten up and smells just like over ripe grapefruit. Very acidic almost gassy. The grapefruit is a lot small so yield might be down but quality over quantity win some for me. 👊✌️🏻💚

📌 Disclaimer / Timeline clarification Before we begin, a quick note for transparency: Last week, while compiling the reports, I unintentionally included some photos that actually belong to this week. That one’s on me. It’s fairly easy to notice which photos those are, and to avoid duplicating files, I’ll keep the correct visuals where they are while continuing to share this week’s genetics shots and videos as intended. Thank you for the understanding — clarity and honesty always come first here 🙏 🌬️ Week 4 Veg — Sour Diesel Quick recap (how we got here) This Sour Diesel has moved through veg without interruptions or stress. From early establishment to now, the focus has been consistency: stable environment, balanced nutrition, and no unnecessary interventions. No setbacks. No corrections. Just steady development and strong genetic expression beginning to show. Anyone joining us now is seeing her at a point where the foundation is already built. ⸻ 🌡️ Room Conditions & Environment Conditions remain identical and stable, exactly as intended for mid-vegetative growth: • Temperature: 25.7 °C • Relative Humidity: 60% • Airflow: constant and gentle • VPD: comfortably in range for veg This environment allows Sour Diesel to: • transpire efficiently • maintain lush coloration • build internal momentum without stress ⸻ 💡 Lighting (Week 4 Veg) • LEDs: running at 90% • Lighting source: top lighting only • Under-canopy lighting: not active yet (planned for flower) She’s growing into the light, not being pushed by it. We’re monitoring PPFD across the canopy using the TrolMaster PAR sensor, walking the room to understand distribution — not to chase numbers, but to stay informed. No adjustments are being made. Observation only. ⸻ 🌱 Nutrition Program Same trusted, balanced approach: • Plagron Terra Grow — vegetative base nutrition • Power Roots — strong, expansive root system • Pure Zym — enzymatic support and cleaner substrate • Sugar Royal — metabolic and microbial encouragement • Vita Race — foliar vitality and micronutrients The response is clear: lush green growth, expressive leaves, and relaxed posture. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Observations • Color: rich, healthy green • Vigor: calm but confident • Growth rate: steady, as expected for Week 4 veg • Structure: quietly stacking potential She’s a lush plant, no other way to say it. Balanced, beautiful, and clearly comfortable in her environment. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (and What Not to Expect) Expect: • noticeable acceleration soon • tighter internodal spacing • increased nutrient demand as root mass peaks Don’t expect: • explosive stretch just yet • dramatic visual changes this • the need for interventions or corrections This is the calm before the surge — the moment where Sour Diesel gathers herself before showing her true pace. ⸻ Closing Notes Week 4 veg is about trusting the process. Sour Diesel is exactly where she should be — healthy, lush, and preparing for the next chapter. Community Note Due to YouTube community guidelines, our educational channel was taken down. Trust me, you won’t want to miss the next steps, let’s push the boundaries of indoor horticulture together! As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Let’s celebrate it responsibly and continue to learn and grow together. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Day 77 - Was her last day. To be truthful she wasn't 100% ready going on the trichomes but needs must and the other photoperiod girls need their space now. It's crazy how my own personal ability has changed over the years. Blackberry is a strain I've grown every 12 months roughly, GrowDiaries is a fab place to track your learning. Looking back through my old grows I must have been mad to think they were ready to harvest! Way too early! Maybe that's the biggest thing I've learned - patience. Don't be too eager to chop, there is a lot to be gained extending by 2 or 3 weeks... Anyway, back to this girl. She has been chopped and trimmed. Have a look thru the pics, if you see a piece of black tape on the stem the apex bud on that branch was BACKBUILT. I have to say the technique REALLY does work. Those buds look fatter and denser than the others that have been left natural. It seems effective to be done about halfway through flowering, but no later than 3/4 of the way. FINAL UPDATE: So after 2 weeks in the drying net she weighed out to 87.81g. Not a great deal but she was compromised by the photoperiod plants she shared the tent with. It wasn't the full purple phenotype like I had twice before but still she looks pretty.
