Hey Growers! The girls have officially packed their bags and moved into a much fancier place. The new setup comes loaded with perks: an automated controller that keeps the environment dialed in 24/7, managing every device so the VPD stays exactly where it should be (because apparently plants are picky like that). Drainage? Automated. Irrigation? Also automated. Basically, the grow room is now smarter than most of us on a Monday morning. Thanks to multi-frequency fertirrigation, the girls are getting up to 6 daily watering cycles, keeping the substrate pH stable and nutrient-ready at all times. Less babysitting for me, more thriving for them: a deal I'm very happy to sign. Now, onto the Mental Rainbows, and things are finally looking up. After slightly bumping up the Calmag base to 0.6 EC and doubling the daily watering frequency, something seems to have clicked. The new growth is no longer twisted and curled, and honestly, that's enough to give me hope. Now that I'm pushing irrigation up to 6 times a day, I can only expect things to keep improving. A few of the smaller, slimmer plants don't seem to have developed a main cola: their internodes are all growing at roughly the same pace. So while I'll be topping the bigger, more advanced girls that do have a clear main shoot, I might skip the topping on the slimmer ones and let them take their time catching up in height instead. No point rushing what doesn't need rushing. That said, even though these plants had a bit of a rocky start (likely due to a slightly more delicate genetics), I'm still very confident in them. As proven in my last run, plants that struggled early on ended up delivering even better results than the ones that looked bulletproof from day one. Some growers panic at 28°C in flower. In practice? Understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (Why 28°C Is Not “Too Hot”) Under LED: • No infrared radiation blast like HPS • Leaf surface temp typically 2–4°C cooler than room So: • Room ≈ 28°C • Leaf ≈ 24–26°C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD sits beautifully in early–mid flower range. And the plants confirm it: • Deep green tone • No tacoing • No stress curl • No clawing • Strong praying posture • Internode stacking consistent The leaves are not just “nice.” They are metabolically comfortable. ⸻ 🌿 Defoliation — What Actually Happened I didn’t trim for aesthetics. I reset the architecture. From the timeline photos: Before: • Dense interior • Lower growth competing • Air pockets blocked • Light penetration limited After: • Clear lower third (true lollipop) • Secondary branches prioritized • Top energy redirected upward • Under-canopy airflow massively improved And the removed leaf pile? That tells the story of biomass management, not plant stress. Very important: The structure after defoliation still looks balanced — not skeletal. That means you removed intelligently, not emotionally. ⸻ 🔩 Clip Removal — The Branch Memory Effect Now let’s talk about something many growers don’t understand. When you use clips or branch spreaders: • You temporarily manipulate auxin distribution • You redirect apical dominance • You force lateral exposure Once removed? The plant reacts in 24–72 hours. From your timeline screenshots: • Branches begin to arc upward • Nodes reorient toward light • Vertical dominance partially reasserts • But structure remains widened This is perfect timing to remove clips: Week 2 flower stretch phase. Why? Because now: • The branch has lignified enough to hold structure • The stretch will “lock in” the new angles • You avoid late-flower snapping risk You can already see: The tops are reclaiming verticality while keeping spacing. That is textbook. ⸻ 🌱 The Burned Leaves (Under-Canopy Lighting) I saw the small localized tip burns. Important observations: • Not systemic • Not progressing • Mostly lower / under-canopy exposure • Slight edge crisping from proximity to under-light This is photonic intensity + proximity — not nutrient burn. Your EC at 2.9 is high compared to your other girls, yes. But here’s the key: They are eating it. Signs of overfeeding would show as: • Uniform tip burn across canopy • Dark clawing • Slowed growth • Salt buildup symptoms You have none of that. Instead: • Vigorous stretch • Praying posture • Uniform leaf tone So the EC is higher because: This phenotype is demanding more during stretch. That’s not excess. That’s appetite. ⸻ 🚀 The Stretch Now let’s talk genetics. Week 2 flower is just the beginning for these. Expect: • 1.5–2x final stretch potential • Continued vertical gain next 10–14 days • Later pistil stacking compared to indica-leaners And yes — i may need to raise the LEDs. At 60 cm now? They are not done. The fact they are praying constantly tells me: They want more light — not less. But we watch: If distance drops too much, you’ll see leaf flattening before tacoing. That’s your early warning. ⸻ Two Plants — Two Personalities You can clearly see: One Plant : • More structured • Tighter node stacking • Slightly thicker leaf The other Plant : • More vertical aggression • Strong apical reclaim after clip removal • Haze-like frame expansion This is why running multiple phenos is beautiful. She is much prettier than she was a week ago :) I remembered that I have my first grow light, which is more compact and it will give me more space, so I changed my light, now the girl's side branches get light too:) I add a lot of video memes, because I really want to win Iphone16 pro ;) and those who don't take risks don't drink champagne:) good luck to everyone.

Germination went well she was a beautiful large purple seed when I see her I knew she was going to be a nice phenotype . I use fish tank water as my base which is 350 parts per million then I added 1 ml of biogrow and 0.25 ml of biobloom . pH 6.5

Last feed of bloom and then flush.Have a very soft spot for this plant,really dense hard bud that smells so sweet.Never gave a days issue from seed.Resistant asf that's for sure.Looking forward to harvest

Eats very well, no more signs of leaf tip burn. Lots of smaller tops emerging, becoming bushy. Roots looking good for most part, still showing healthy white roots submerged. Still using mister to keep humid in root zone.

Just because i realized im not really providing info about my potted grow but I have been using Mother Earth coco plus perlite i added worm castings, bat guano, n vegetable garden 4-4-4. just p.h'd water at 6.50. once in flower i would water with a diluted solution from my dwc and PPM under 200PPM.

Cash Express – Pheno A | Week 4 Full Steam Ahead Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure, where twelve cultivars are being documented individually from seed to harvest under a strict 12/12-from-seed schedule. Every phenotype follows its own diary, allowing each plant to reveal its unique personality while growing under exactly the same environment and feeding program. Another week has passed, and the room continues to transform at an incredible pace. What started as twelve tiny seedlings is rapidly becoming a forest filled with individual characters, each responding differently despite sharing identical conditions. That’s one of my favourite parts of this project—watching genetics tell their own stories. This week also reminded me that Mother Nature has a funny sense of humour. The environmental controller proudly displayed 33.3°C alongside 63% humidity. Apparently the grow room has decided that three is the lucky number this week. Despite the higher temperatures, the elevated humidity helped keep the plants comfortable, and growth across the room never missed a beat. Every day the canopy became denser, greener, and noticeably more alive. ⸻ Week 4 Environment 🌡️ Temperature: 33.3°C 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% 💡 PPFD: 700–800 µmol/m²/s 🌱 Medium: Plagron Lightmix ? Growing Method: 12/12 From Seed One interesting change this week wasn’t caused by the lights—it was caused by the plants themselves. Some phenotypes have entered a much stronger vertical growth phase, naturally moving closer to the fixtures. Those taller individuals are now receiving around 800 PPFD, while shorter plants remain closer to 700 PPFD. The light hasn’t changed. The plants have. Watching each phenotype respond differently under identical conditions continues to be one of the most fascinating parts of this entire project. ⸻ Feeding Strategy The nutrition program has continued to evolve alongside the increasing demands of the garden. During the establishment phase, irrigation remained around pH 5.8, creating ideal conditions for vigorous root development. As those root systems expanded throughout the containers, the nutrient solution gradually shifted toward pH 6.1, allowing access to a broader spectrum of available nutrients within the substrate. At the same time, nutrient concentration was increased progressively throughout the week, finishing around EC 1.8. Nothing dramatic. No aggressive jumps. Simply allowing the plants to dictate the pace rather than forcing one. Healthy roots create healthy plants, and the steady growth throughout the room suggests they’re very happy with the direction we’re taking. ⸻ Cash Express – Pheno A If this lady had a motto, it would probably be: “Catch me if you can.” From the beginning she’s shown an incredible desire to grow, and this week that enthusiasm became even more obvious. While several of the other phenotypes are still building compact structures, Pheno A has decided she’s in a hurry. She’s stretching confidently toward the light while simultaneously producing an impressive amount of lateral growth, creating a plant that feels both elegant and powerful. What has impressed me most isn’t simply her height. It’s how well she’s responding to every bit of training. Throughout the week I’ve continued gently tucking leaves and applying light stress training wherever needed to open the canopy. Rather than slowing down, she seems to reward every adjustment by pushing even more vigorous side branches toward the light. It’s exactly the kind of response every grower hopes for. Each newly exposed branch immediately begins reaching upward, gradually transforming the plant into a much more balanced structure with multiple future flowering sites. The internodal spacing remains very attractive—open enough to allow airflow and light penetration, yet close enough to promise dense flower development later on. Her main stem has thickened noticeably over the past week, giving her a sturdy backbone that’s clearly preparing for the stretch that’s still to come. The foliage is lush, healthy, and beautifully coloured, while the fresh lime-green growth emerging at every tip is a constant reminder of just how actively she’s developing. Looking at her now, it’s easy to understand why this cultivar carries the name Cash Express. She certainly isn’t wasting any time. Every day she seems determined to be just a little taller, a little fuller, and a little stronger than she was the day before. ⸻ Looking Ahead Week 5 should become even more exciting. With flowering now beginning to establish itself, I’m expecting the stretch to continue while the first real flower formation starts becoming visible throughout the canopy. Over the coming days I’ll be watching closely for: • Continued vertical stretch. • Development of the trained side branches. • Early flower site formation. • Structural balance after continued LST. • How she compares to her sister phenotype as flowering progresses. Plants look,smell, and feel amazing. I think they've put on most of their weight now and the buds are starting to get really cloudy! I started the slightly older plant in the front on her flush at the end of this week. I believe the one in the back seems to be a week or 2 behind.

I have started flushing with pH-adjusted Flawless Finish solution, expecting to harvest somewhere around the end of this week, although I will continue monitoring pistils and trichs. Upd: Added back 50% base nutrients and some flowering additives after researching some of the first responses to my flushing question. I learn every day. Even that which was scientifically proven true one day, might be even more scientifically proven absolutely false some time later (not related to flushing specifically). Thank you kings! Upd 2: Okay okay I cooked her with some cosmic rays or whatever those Chinese quantum bars emit — purple rays, I'll call it — that's on me. Turned them 30% down to see what's up. Light burn was not on my mind, because otherwise the leaves were not really curving that much, considering that this is 3 weeks overdue wrt advertised. Sorry about that, did not pay enough attention.

On Day 01, I germinated 5 Fat Banana (Auto) in a Rockwool tube and put it in a propagation tray with a dome on it. With room temperature above 80'F and humidity above 90%. From Day 01 to Day 03, the temperature is around 85'F with humidity above 95%. The room temperature kept rising so I gave cool air in the room and removed the dome on Day 04. On Day 04, the temperature dropped sharply from 85'F to 70'F. Humidity also dropped from 95% to 50%. To avoid the being too cold, I increased the temperature of cool air. I gave cool air from 6 A.M to 12 P.M. The temperature has been steady around 75'F and humidity 55% on Day 05, Day 06, Day 07. On day 07, 4 seeds produced 4 leaves each and showed promising. So, I transferred into air pot. I used the growing soil from Superbud - Super Living Soil. I used 1 soil bag per 2 air pots. Throughout the whole germination process, I used no nutrients and only used water to soak the rockwools. As for light, I gave >1500 lumen on Day 04 >7000 lumen on Day 05 >10000 lumen on Day 06 >12000 lumen on Day 03 This is my very first time growing cannabis so let me know your thoughts about how I should improved my germination methods.

Plants are looking good so far, added about 2ml/gal to the reservoir this week and plants responded well. They are all keeping short and stocky so far and should be able to start LST training in a few days I think. I also turned up the light to 750w and the air temps are now hovering between 24c-25c. Water temps are creeping up though in the 21c range, gonna wrap the buckets tonight in foil insulation and build a water cooler for this setup soon as well. Had some Ph issues during week 4 because my pen decided to go wonky. I tried to calibrate it again and had a hard time. So I busted out an older one and decided to calibrate it and see if it worked still... calibrated in a few min and sure enough res ph was well bellow 5. So water was changed as it was time anyway and ph’d proper just before lights out so we will see what happens tomorrow.
