This week went really well ! Today we are at day 79 from seed an looking beautiful! One Forbiddin Runtz got chopped an hung to dry out an the rest are still flushing out through the rest of this week! Very nice looking fades coming along on the fan leafs from purple to green , so beautiful ! So happy with these genetics from @fastbuds_genetics! Super sticky an smell is so amazing, room full of purple punch’s an Forbiddin Runtz the smell you can’t beat, so many berries!!! Well stay tuned for next week! Cheers y’all

Started seeing first pistils , everything going smooth, continue training through net . It's a big job scroging, all that plant training through the net can wear you out! Just ask the Urban Grow Cat, he's absolutely worn out from helping me in the garden, as you can see from the photos. I have noticed a mistake on my diary, it say's that she is still in veg. However she is currently entering week 3 of flower, i have edited it to flowering. ( Sorry about the mistake , Grow cat is still learning how to use a laptop!

3/23/25 - Today marks the start of week 2 of flower. I top-dressed the soil with Gaia Green 2-8-4 at 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil, Gaia Green 4-4-4 at 1 tablespoon per gallon, and worm castings at ½ cup per gallon. I watered with 1 liter of water, pH’d to 6.6, mixed with 1 tablespoon of fermented plant juice per gallon. Light is at 740 ppfd.Everything is looking good as the plants continue to transition into flower 3/25/25 - added water to the reservoirs today. PH'd to 6.5 3/29/25 - Filled the reservoirs because they were bone dry. Plain water PH'd to 6.2

Harvested plants #5 and #9 at day 70. The rest of them still have a week or 2 to go. #8 is the size of a 24 oz beer can. She's freaking thicc #2 is throwing out monster sized buds. Plant #9 that I harvested, looks very similar to all of the sour d pics online. She smells like something died. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Continued feeding with the tomato fertilizer, but I probably overdid it. We'll see. Later in the week I bought some new Canna Terra Flores. Temperatures outside are rising, which will soon become a problem. I turned up the light from 40% to 60% regardless. Removed a bunch of the lower leaves and did some light lollipopping.

Did some tie down on the side branches to help with light penetration. When I touch her, she gives off a amazing lemon sweet fuel smell, very intoxicating can't wait to cure it. Hairs are starting turn. She has been loveing a 6.8- 7 ph as well. Had a healthy feed. Added norish-L (humic acid). @ 2 drop/L

Day 1 of week 6: 26th Sept Slow start to this week with an update as my phone is broken. Girls looking good but no pics to show.. Day 2 of week 6: 27th Sept Nutes in as usual! Girls looking good and I think the CalMag is working a treat! 🤞🏼 Day 3 of week 6: 28th Sept Just added some pics and a lil vid today to kick this week off after a slow start! Day 5 of week 6: 30th Sept Nutes in again today and some more defoliation due to yellow leaves not getting enough light.. I was a little worried I hadn’t sorted the CalMag deficiency out properly but the girls are looking much happier now I’ve got rid of those yellow leaves and LST’d them a bit more. 😍 Day 6 of week 6, 1st October: Girls looking much happier since yesterday’s removal of yellow leaves and more LST!! They’ve bounced back so nicely!! Happy days 😊❤️ Day 7 of week 6: 2nd October Girls looking good, nutes in for the last time before switching to flower.. Switching to flower 🌹 during week 7 all being well!! Can’t wait to see some cola action!! ❤️, ✌️ and hair grease!

Got a couple more days until day 56 (week 8) but just wanted to add a few things from this week. The flush is coming along nicely and getting some really nice colors to come out, Really excited for the finish. Just uploaded the day 56 pictures, shes looking beautiful!

Week 9 for Gelato 41, She was transplanted into the big 250L pot mid last week to my outdoor spot, she doesn't look like shes grown much since last week but i think its because how big her new pot actually looks compared to the 5L pot but shes definitely bigger😂 The mulch to keep her soil cool is just straight up hay (going for as low spending costs as possible) which i had laying around the garden already from a few years ago😇 Shes getting sprayed every morning at sun rise to help with pests... as my other plants around her are having aphid issues but haven't had to kill any off of her funnily enough.
