Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟 It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments! While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless. Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process: 1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying! 2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison! 3️⃣ Yield Update Wet, the total came in at 179 grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment. 4️⃣ Curing Plan The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing. Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨ As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results! What's up Grow Diaries family, super excited to have another grow in addition to the Gelatos. This time is a little different since it will be a new experience for me. First time growing an auto flower strain, first time using Bio Tabs, and first time using the quantum board for the full cycle. I usually use the QB304 for vegging, but since I got a 2'x2' tent. It'll be dedicated for that space. I finally got a hold of some FastBuds seeds but I've been losing sleep contemplating on which strain to grow. I have some LSD-25 and Blackberry, which are fantastic strains (based on what i've seen). It came down to a coin toss and LSD-25 was chosen. Come and join me in this new journey. I've read up on how to grow autos and all that but I know there are plenty of seasoned veterans out there that could share some knowledge. Week 1 - Prepped Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil by mixings BioTabs Startrex and Mycotrex. I know there's been a lot of debate about using 3 gal vs 5 gal for autos but I'm using a 5 gal. fabric pot since that's what I have and probably would still buy a 5 gal instead of a 3. But who am I, I'm another first time auto grower. Hahaha! Let me know your thoughts on this. Light cycle is set to 20 hours instead of the usual 12/12, 18/6, 24. I was debating on running the lights 24/7 but wanted to have period when the plant rest. Not too sure if autos need it but my electric bill could use a break. Soaked the seed overnight and sown into soil approximately 1/2 in. Placed a humidity dome (solo cups 😉) over the site to keep humidity up. Humidity in the room is around 45% which is pretty low for germination. Temperature at 78°F which is good. Within the next day or so, we should have this sprouting out of the soil. Once that happens, an update will soon to follow. UPDATE: 11/9/2018 Day 1 LSD-25 finally sprouted 😃. Relative humidity has been low at 35ish%, keeping a humidity dome/spraying Ph'd water to keep her happy until she gets a little bit bigger. If the humidity levels stay this low, I'll be putting in the humidifier until conditions get better. Enjoy the new pictures and stay tuned for the next update! Day 3 - RH has been going down to the teens so I added the humidifier for now. Conditions are a lot better and is now in the 70's. Increased the blower speed to kinda balance out the incoming dry air. Day 4 - Dialed in the incoming air by adjusting the blower and vent. Humidifier doing it's thing getting RH at 72%. Saturated the soil with regular tap water + Bactrex + Orgatrex + Cal-Mag. We'll see how this goes since no PH or EC readings required with BioTabs. I do plan on using Real Growers Recharge once she gets out of the seedling stage. Once she starts flowering, Mammoth P will be used 😉 Day 5 - Leaves are pointing up, this could be a bad thing right? I think it's due to the low humidity and possibly light burn. Humidifier was setup yesterday so maybe she just needs to get reacclimatized to her new environment. I also increased the light distance a couple of inched just in case. Day 6 - Seems like the leaves are starting to level out and color is starting to look better 😀 Day 7 - End of week 1! well, another week goes by and it's growing not like I expected hehehe but that's ok, living and learning, and for now I'll just wait for this cycle to end to start a new one and post it here and I'll tell you right away that I ordered a kit advanced nutrients starter and will test it on the new cycle. =D

Day 50 The lower leaves of the plant turned yellow I have two options that could have caused the lower leaves to turn yellow The first is a lack of nitrogen. In the last two weeks, I have reduced the dose of AD Grow fertilizer from 4 ml to 2 ml which contains nitrogen and i have not added AD B-52 for two weeks The second option is that I measure the ph with drops I don’t have digital one and there may be an ph error one more detail: I was out of town for a few days and when I returned, the ground was as dry as a desert, but I don't think that is the cause Defoliation has been done for several days now Defoliation has been done for several days now. P.s If you had a similar problem, I would like to hear about what could be the cause and how I can help the plant. ;)

All plants are doing ok so far. Gave all foliar sprays of BT as there is pest pressure elsewhere in the garden. Supported the tall ones for for a windy day with 20-30mph gusts, they took the wind like champs. Wedding cheesecake the oldest and is starting to give a hint of sweet funk sometimes. Update: While checking plants today, Wedding Cheesecake had a brownish bud (bottom branch). I snip it off, no other affected sites. I will be checking diligently now, as weather has been very hot and humid.

Happy it germinated not surprised either. For those of you who haven’t seen my other window grows I’ve had some decent success with autos in the window. Ive yielded over an oz on a small yielding plant. I’ve looked it up the window gives off 50% sunlight plus all the additional lights it does great. It’s somewhat close to my woodstove which is great bc it keeps it dry in flower. I have fans on it as well. Some people hate on grows like this I think they r cool. I transplanted it oct 5th. Let’s hope it thrives which I’m sure it will

this week the plant has grown well I'm being struck by the compactness of the plant which is very close between one internode and another I hope it continues like this and stays nice and compact, or started using the water produced by the dehumidifier which is basic ph 6.4/6.6 and an ec between 0.3 and 0.5 and however not with chlorine or other added things as it is water recovered from the air and allows me an error regime with a higher ec because it is based on a lower ec than the tap water which I used to use after decanting with this I hope I don't have problems but we'll see for now and ok, rating for the performance held this week and a nice 10 ahaha unfortunately for me it's a male I'm right but I don't despair I'll use it to mix it with my don diablo and try to make it stay more compact between one internode and the other, since she has a very compact growth while easing a male.

Into week 7 and all is good. All are in flower and swelling out very nicely. Ethos OG Kush is frosty and smells like a citrus grove. Barney's Purple is an absolute beast. Her stretch was impressive for an autoflower and she is almost 48in high. Her flowers are swelling nice and she has become much more fragrant in the last week. Fastbuds Zkittlez is frosty and swelling nice. She is also very fragrant, smelling like sweet candy. Seedsman Pink Kush CBD is doing well, beautiful dark purple flowers and leaves. Lights are still 18/6. No nutes. Monitoring trichomes daily looking for changes in color and clarity in preparation for harvest.

Day 28: What a great week it has been for these ladies this week. They have all got on with business in a very orderly fashion. Gorilla#1 has now been trained a little with some gentle L.s.t to pull her main down. I am hoping to not add any recovery needs that will slow growth down at all so no topping. #2 She has been the most productive and has gone way past her initial stake out points. Staked out she is showing approx 7-8 good prospects for mains. I took the small lowest growth out to not waste energy on them. #3 has engulfed her 30L pot already and tied down she looks even more able. she is showing small pre flower hairs at a few bracts . Her fan leaves are a huge size already and tucking them away was hard. #4 Has been pulled down on her 5th node to encourage the lowers to gain some size. she is still fairly squat and bushy looking. Sweet Cheese is slowly gaining size now and has remained low to the surface if the pot so far. I think she will be more natural grown. Overall it feels like a great entrance into their final weeknof flower possibly. Now we have some mains set out for their long stretch session in flowering. I don't think height will be an issue for them in my room this run.lol I gave them all a really heavy feed to get the pots active with the biosys and life-cycle again now and hope I can catch them right for their flowering boost needs. I have bought some shogun Pk and their finisher too. lets hope its a drama free week. Be safe and well growies

Fun grow, treated each plant with a different growing techniques - Fim, Top, Lst, super-cropping, etc. Surprised on yield using basic $130.00 Bestva. Dry weight over 1/3 of a pound. They hung for 5 days. I put time into flushing and Trichome viewing, willing to sacrifice THC content for a more energetic medicine. I nailed the harvest based off of partly/mostly cloudy trichs(pic above). The weed is gas, top-shelve, better than the 21.5% thca GC I purchase through dispensary. Very, Very pleased with results. Biggest mistakes made on this grow: 1) 2 initial pots too small for 10 week veg requiring a tricky late veg transplant. 2) not using cal/mag in mid Veg. 3) allowing humidity to drop too low while drying buds in tent - final product is a little brittle.

She's absolutely taking off. Every time I swap the reservoir, she shows her appreciation with another growth spurt. I pulled a couple single leaves off of her and will begin ponytail training this week to push a little energy to the lowers and start getting some side branching. We're getting to that time in an Autoflowers grow cycle where things go crazy, and I'm here for it. Thanks again to Zamnesia and Plagron for letting me throw down in this grow off.

Well we finally reached the end. The last week was more cruise control. Just trying to remove the big fan leaves that's blocking any flowers. The trichomes looking kinda ready but still acceptable. During the last few days I maintained a daytime Humidity of around 60 and nighttime of 55. Temperatures are between 73 degrees and 67 degrees. Two days before chop they got 48 hrs of dark and 3 days of no water to add to the stress. After the 48hrs darkness all the ladies Came out extra frosty. Loving the change of hues on the blue gelato. The vanilla Kush is very oily and very very strong smell. Not a strong smell coming off the OrangeGelato though. The green gelato has a creamy smell.
