Day 23 The third week of flowering is complete. Most of the height growth is finished. Time for a radical defoliation. The girls look great. Unfortunately, Kush has formed hermaphrodites on the flowers in the shade. I hope that I have removed them all. The lamp will be raised to 100% output in two stages.

It's Saturday night as i type this. Week 7 doesn't officially begin till Monday but i fed tonight cuz they needed it so i decided to get this over with tonight. Runtz is billed as a 9 week finish. So these girls are still putting on weight so it may very well be 9 to finish. Tonight i staked all the plants and tied up sagging branches. Plants again fed full dose of bloom nutrients. There's noticeable Thrip damage on lower leaves, but the crop is close and the lady bugs have kept those little fuckers in check. When i found out i had a Thrip infestation in late summer i was pondering killing all my mothers and cleaning everything and have my operation sit idle for a month to knock out any and all Pests. Fortunately i opted to go the lady bug route. I released 700 lady bugs into my operation and have harvested the bugs off the last crop and deployed them to the next crop. I've been soaping my mother's but i'm not consistent in doing that so the Thrips persist. Next crop will be i think 6 Zake in 5 gal fabric pots in Coco.

Cantaloupe haze needed a good flush brought runoff from 2000 ppm to 1100ppm will continue to monitor.

I watered twice this week, once at the beginning and today at the end. CalMag 10ml/g Green Sensation 4ml/g Recharge 2,5ml/g PPM 826, PH 6.2 temp 69.8. I brought Purple Hulk on August 19, 2 days before the hurricane. Let me warn you right here. First, do not be so anxious to grow outside. Before moving four outdoor plants into a tent, they were inspected for pests and mold, but none were observed initially. After relocation, the heat and lights in the tent created conditions for caterpillar eggs to hatch. Caterpillars began to appear gradually over several days, with 20 to 30 found during one inspection. Caterpillar coloring matches the parts of the plant they consume, making detection difficult. As a result, Purple Hulk will be harvested due to significant pest activity; trichomes are mostly milky with few amber tops. Second, it is also advised not to bring plants indoors without proper quarantine procedures, as caterpillars can migrate to neighboring plants via webs. This was observed with Tropicanna Poison XL, which was next to Purple Hulk in the tent. Finally, for plants grown outdoors at any stage, bud washing at harvest is suggested, as demonstrated in Jorge Cervantes's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkEYz8-YeUA. The proximity of Purple Hulk to other garden vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage—primary targets for white cabbage moths—may have influenced the number of eggs found. Previous outdoor growing seasons did not experience similar caterpillar issues, though bud rot has been common due to humid summers in Virginia. Really impressed with this SCHLUX SZ-PT400 light. Done another round of LST really bringing th bud sites to the light. Also been tucking my bug fan leaves, don't believe in trimming autos. Captain Redbeard Seeds are really impressive at this point. Will be top dressing with Coast of Maine lobster compost, as well as worm castings and the OG bloom dust. Happy growing

Today I moved two plants to their final pot (3.5 gal). Each of the plants has 2 nicely formed nodes. The root structure looked very strong. They were started in Pro-Mix HP and transplanted into the same medium. I just sprayed PH balanced water on the top of the soil to help them acclimate to the new pot. I still have 2 plants that have stopped growing so I am going to leave them in the seedling chamber till they get a little farther along.

I'm flabbergasted, the flowering is speeding up a bit. i think it's a hybrid and not sativa (bagseed ;)) when rubbing the bud, the smell is so sweet, a bit like some kind of lemonade without the molasses the ec was at 1.8, i took the back of a fork and scooped some mollasses with it, and stirred and shaked it in. i measured again, the ec was 2.1 the ec seems high, but plants from seed kan take a lot of nutrients, and, you shouldn't measure after adding boosters. the mollasse i use is good quality blackstrap molasse, it stimulates the soil in different ways, enzym, bacteria and nutrient levels and gives the nice sugar boost (?!) -edit - next week bacteria from fishmix (very low dosage)

This week I'm going to talk a little bit about the 2 gal pots I leave outdoors. Since they're going to be indoors now, I've assembled a fertilizer rack and the bottom compartment is perfect for a cage with all the plants I have. With a length of 1.5m, width 65cm and height of 1m, I will use 4 led bulbs 50w and 2 full spectrum LEDs 36w long 1.2m. 272w / ~ 1m2. 2/3:Plant the plants indoors and lst them. 4 led bulb 50w 5/3:Run off all the trees, as it was soaked with rain water when left outside. is still the old nutritional dose. 6/3: Today I received the led light I ordered. I perfect my design and let the tree in the cage out and lst. 9/3:I feel everything is perfect today, I reduce their lighting time to 12/12. I will cut off all the fan leaves from the stem of the 2gal pots and prune all the small branches of the 1gal pot. in this pruning I will trim them as much as possible. It's been 37 days since the seed and I think they're ready for flowering. I need to flower them urgently because in the next 2 months the weather can be as hot as 40 degrees, and I really have no way to reduce their temperature. I would probably have them flower for 7 to 8 weeks to retain maximum resin. a few days before high, I fliming an NL plant, I experimented with this technique and I feel that they have been very successful since the fliming plants have a much larger stump than other plants. I really like this technique, as it will save me the small space I currently have without having toppings. With just a few simple steps I have got a really big stump and still keep the biggest main bud of the tree. I hope each plant can give me 20-25 grams of dried marijuana.
