Week 8 Flower – Roller Coaster Haze (Zamnesia Seeds) The Final Act of a Beautiful Journey Here we are, Week 8 of flower, and the Roller Coaster Haze girls are at their absolute peak. Massive, elegant, and shining with frost — these plants are true works of living art. The colas are huge, dense, and heavy, coated in trichomes that glisten under the lights. The aroma is intense, that unmistakable hay-sweet haze scent filling the room the moment you approach them. It’s been an incredible journey from seed to this point — full of learning, adjustments, and evolution — and the girls are showing their gratitude with a breathtaking display. ⸻ Light Defoliation & Canopy Health This week, we performed a light defoliation, focusing mainly on yellowing and fading fan leaves. At this stage, the goal isn’t to push growth, but to maintain airflow and prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to bud rot or other late-stage issues. By selectively removing what the plant no longer needs, we’re allowing more light to penetrate the canopy and helping the buds finish strong and clean. The fading is beautiful — a sign that the plants are naturally consuming their reserves as they approach the end of their cycle. ⸻ Aroma, Density & Structure Each branch tells a story of energy and balance. The colas are dense and resin-packed, sticky to the touch, with pistils slowly darkening and curling inward. The aroma has deepened, becoming more earthy and hazy, with a sweet undertone that hints at the potency within. These are true haze beauties — towering, expressive, and powerful. Every part of the plant speaks of the care, patience, and intention behind this grow. ⸻ Feeding & Environment We have now completely stopped nutrient feeding. This week’s watering is plain, clean water only, measured at: • EC: 0.3 • pH: 6.8 – 7.2 The goal is to gently flush out any remaining salts and allow the plants to finish on what remains in the super soil. This natural fade encourages better flavor and cleaner results after harvest. Environmental conditions remain steady despite the high outdoor temperatures. With careful management through TrolMaster and Spider Farmer controls, we’re keeping: • Temperature: around 28°C • Humidity: 60–65% • VPD: approximately 1.3 Everything stays balanced and stable to allow the final ripening stage to unfold smoothly. ⸻ Light Adjustments – Simulating the End of the Season To mimic the natural end of the season, we’ve begun gradually lowering the white light intensity, while pushing the red, far-red, and UV spectrums to 100%. This spectrum shift signals to the plants that the cycle is ending, stimulating final ripening, color development, and resin production. The reds encourage energy transfer in the deeper parts of the canopy, while UV light helps enhance secondary metabolite production — the oils, terpenes, and resins that give Roller Coaster Haze her unique flavor and strength. ⸻ Reflections & Recap From seed to this stage, this run has been all about precision, patience, and experimentation. The Roller Coaster Haze responded beautifully to the Aptus + Plagron blend, the controlled environment, and the small adjustments we made each week. The natural fade is now in full display — leaves turning golden and soft while the buds continue to swell and frost over. REVIEW - Runtz (fem., photo.) from Zamnesia: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ The seeds from Zamnesia germinated rapidly, rooted strongly, went wild in veg, and produced an ample amount of high-quality medicinal flower. The diary speaks for itself on that front so this space will be more of a phenotype review. The plants were labelled A, B, and C from left to right respectively in photos. A and B were the 'clasicaly-appearing' sativa-esque leaves while C was the more 'indica-appearing' phenotype. Although A and B appear the same qualitatively, they did produce substantially different amounts of flower (despite their DLI being near max out for the entire tent footprint without supplementing CO2, so I do not think just being in the middle attributed to this). Past their different yields, A and B also have vastly different profiles. A is a classic gelato/ice cream cooler/Z terps, and my personal favorite of the plants (wish I had taken a clone of this one instead). B is the most on point for what I think of with Runtz, classic Z terps but with a slight tropical/rotten/sweetness to it. C had the misfortune of being ready to chop a little earlier than the other girls so her profile is mostly just spicey kush now. I did observe intersex flower sites but given the entire context of the diary and how the plants performed, I have to assume it was user error. No pollination observed in any of the flowers, as zero additional intersex sites occurred. The distinction between A, B and C is what I would expect from a typical F1 cannabis seed. I do not enjoy growing from seed much but these girls were manageable. Add to that the relative stability of the genetics for a Runtz recreation, and well, these are good quality beans for a great price. Not only is Zamnesia responsive and available, their confidence speaks volumes. How many vendors would have an in-house Runtz, knowing how much of a genetic-gravity-well it is in, and be confident enough to let ~200 randos grow it and show it? REVIEW - Green Sensation from Plagron: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ I enjoyed using the green sensation, the NPK values on it make it versatile in application and a power-house in flower. I can't say I noticed anything better or dramatically improved, although comparing to Heavy 16 and asking for a marked improvement is big ask in my opinion. What I was able to do was seamlessly integrate the Green Sensation into my current routine. The additive stayed homogenous, was easily introduced into solutions with no adverse impact to the water contents or pH. Most importantly, the plants enjoyed the additive and it did accomplish the main goal of being able to wane off your primary line. In this respect, by using Green Sensation I was able to save resources by lowering my Heavy 16 inputs across the board approximately 50% and supplementing with Plagron's Green Sensation.

Dealing with very strong winds this week. Also morning temperatures are below 15°C causing quite a bit of morning dew. Clear tarps are a big help as long as the strong wind doesn’t blow it away ha ha

Dank smells and no pests or plagues going into week 9 so I'm happy. I think the fattest plant is going to be ready soon-ish. There are big differences between these 4 plants. One is very interesting with strong heavy branches, tight internodes and big leaves, and a real Haze smell. The other big yielder smells like an indica plant and is covered in trichomes.

Today is just the harvest, wash and hang dry process. Still must dry and cure and won’t tastes for at least 30 more days. Sorry guys. Updates later

Starting to really see some Lack of Food. But for giving them Tab water only their whole Life it does not Look to bad. I am happy with them. Lets see how much weight they can gain in the last few

Didn't have someone to come water the plants. 5 days away. Plants dried right out. Defoliated both and fed and watered. We will see what happens. Plant one has mostly orange hairs. Plant two is on the whiter side. Buds are still filling in. I have definitely learned that I need to move on to a more automated system for my lifestyle. Gonna try to make the best of the next few weeks and watch the trichomes turn. Day 66-67 flushed soil with pH water

Flowering Week 7 Trichomes getting milky 🔍 I removed the CO2 BAG, lowered the temp. to 26° end of week 6, that's gonna protect the beautiful buds from the heat the last 2 weeks. From this week there will only be water + CalMag, next week flush with just water. Update: 2 plants was ready to harvest on day 49 🌳🌳

Day 28 update: I think the light was too close to the plant, so I increased the distance to 50cm. It should help with the stretch of lower branches. Then I switched to Advanced Nutrients feed chart, adding 4ml/L of A+B formula and 2ml/L of other additives (for every liter in the reservoir). This made the ppm go crazy. Let’s see what happens, but I don’t like these unclear instructions. Ph Perfect keeps the ph stable for just a few hours, and they don’t say anything about ppm. Bad! Day 30 update: LST session + defoliation on fan leaves that were hiding lower branches. Day 32 update: transplanted to her final 20L AirPot (from a 5L one)! Added some michorrizhae as well where I placed the plant. Since I got a bigger pot, now it’s 250ml of solution every hour, instead of the previous 125ml. Day 34 update: immediately stopped using Advanced Nutrients feed chart (from their calculator) because I had that crazy 3100 ppm in the reservoir and noticed a small sign of overfeeding on a leaf in the top. I removed part of the solution and added tap water back until I got about 800 ppm. NOT HAPPY! Day 35: LST! Again

Absolutely stunning girl, final days before the chop and hang dry in my tent at 70deg and 60RH for ideally 10 days.

10. Woche Joa kann nicht viel sagen, sie wächst super, ihr Grün ist bisschen Gelblich aber okay, glaube die hat einfach Hunger und die was ich ihr gebe, verwertet sie auch. Sie entwickelt sich langsam, ist von der gemütlichen Sorte und braucht denke noch 3-4 Wochen 😊

Last leg of the race for some of these girls! Excited to harvest and trim and cure them. Everything went fairly smoothly this week, looks like some serious burn on the one, but she is towards the end anyways. I started flushing some of them a week ago, and the one furthest along about 2 weeks ago. I’m glad because I’ll save on nutrients as a bonus! I’m excited for my next run, I think things have gone really well with this first grow despite all of the complications. Anyways I should have some harvest pictures next week, thanks for following my grow!

*Disclosure: The mother has was flipped into flower 3 weeks ago - Veg weeks now are only for the clones* 03/08 - (M) - Since transplant into 4x4 she has doubled in size and cleared pre-flower accordingly - Nute feeds increased from once to twice a day - One week will be only nutes the following will be clean water. 03/08 - (C ) All clones are rocking out accordingly - All 7 were topped this week - I will only top once and let them run as is - slight increased nute feed for them to provide supplement for the topping - currently still in nursery (2x2).
