06/06 - As per the most recent update both ladies are thriving accordingly - I will be dropping a 3rd net for added canopy/light coverage throughout the colas and rootzone - I will also be increasing the nutrient ingredient dosage on the Silica to assist with feed intake - I will be flipping them both into flower about in about 2 maybe 3 weeks. 😎😎😎😎😎.. 06/07 - These are thus far the biggest plants of grown (VEG) (Much love to @SensiSeeds for the genetics) to date - With consistent feeding using the @VIVOSUN smart drip emitters and the phenomenal @ACINFINITYINC CLOUDRAY S9 grow tent fan I have been able to increase plant development by at least 40% - They are approx. 3ft width thanks to the LST and dropping the net I have been able to open them up for better light exposure - Another piece of equipment that has been vital are the @ACINFINITYINC IONBEAM S11, 11” Supplemental LED Grow Light Bars, they provide the middle/bottom half of the plant with light in which would be a lost because of the canopy of the plants blocking the light from above. With proper genetics, dependable and effective equipment with patience growing monsters is now a part of my routine. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
06/10 - I laid down a 3rd net for extra coverage though out the plant and did some light trimming underneath to remove sucker steams and larf - Running the hunidifier on high (82%) to help the plant recover from the pull down and light defol - I have also increased the nutrient feed (Nitro Silica) to also assist with rebound and recovery - I will be giving the res about 1 maybe 2 more Veg feeds before clean water flush before flipping. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎.. 06/12 - Ending week 8 Veg on a good note - Both ladies have stretched out beautifully and are coming along without any issues - The plan was to grow them out a bit in the 3x3 but they have grown larger then expected so they will be run through harvest in the 3x3 - Gave them a lite defol yesterday and pumped up the humidifier all in preparation for the flip. Flushing out this weekend with clean water while they transition into pre-flower.

When I began the contest I had only grown Magic Melon once before (last winter), it grew in an 18 litre pot, became around 4 feet tall, and completely filled a 3'x3' tent. A friend of mine successfully grew a seed I gave them this summer in a container about 4 litres and the plant was considerably smaller. The fact that it can be successfully grown in less than 250mL is astonishing, I have buds from the one grown last winter that are bigger than the can I grew this one in.
Harvested 91 days from sprout.

Week 4 update! 🌱 Week 3 is done, and the ladies are now three weeks into their flowering phase. So far, everything has gone really well. However, one bud and the plants in the front showed slight signs of potassium overfertilization, which likely caused a calcium uptake issue and led to minor necrosis.
No worries, though – today I completely flushed the entire system and replaced it with a fresh solution. With this reset, everything should be back on track 💪💧.
On top of that, I decided to bring out an old Cree& Osram LED lamp as a booster. This will provide the two smaller front plants with more light intensity so they can metabolize the higher nutrient levels more effectively 💡🌿.
Everything is looking great so far! Stay tuned, follow along, and let’s see how this journey continues 🌺📸.
Woche 4-Update! 🌱 Woche 3 ist geschafft, und die Ladies sind jetzt drei Wochen in der Blütephase. Bis jetzt lief alles super. Eine Bud und die Pflanzen vorne zeigten jedoch leichte Anzeichen von Kalium-Überdüngung, was wahrscheinlich zu einer Kalzium-Aufnahmehemmung geführt und leichte Nekrosen verursacht hat.
Kein Grund zur Sorge – heute habe ich das komplette System gründlich durchgespült und die Lösung durch eine frische ersetzt. Mit diesem Reset sollte jetzt wieder alles reibungslos laufen 💪💧.
Außerdem habe ich beschlossen, eine alte Cree& Osram LED-Lampe als Booster herauszuholen. Damit bekommen die beiden kleineren Pflanzen vorne eine stärkere Lichtintensität, damit sie die höheren Nährstoffwerte besser verstoffwechseln können 💡🌿.
Es sieht alles richtig gut aus! Bleibt dran, folgt mir, und lasst uns schauen, wie sich die Reise weiterentwickelt 🌺📸.

Mid way through week three in these pics and all is good so far. They stretched up a bit more this week and I am continuing to tuck and remove the large guard leaves where needed. I will continue this til the end of week 3 then I will do a final small defoliation of all the larger leaves and let her go do her own thing for the rest of the grow. I’m trying something different then I normally do this go round in this tent, as I’m trying to maximize bud sites on the net. Usually my motto is less defoliation is best, but I decided to see what happens when I go the opposite with it and defoliate to the max during the first 2 weeks of flowering then keep everything open for the third week with selective defoliation. So far so good, we will see what happens when bud sites lock in. Well we are all caught now on this diary, see ya next week! Cheers 💨

the flowering path continues, today is the 32nd day of flowering and the 69th day from the seed! I hope to be able to cut the harvest in 2 weeks.

Day 50 the plant has been growing at an incredible speed and has a very very large flowering stretch in fact I only have left 5 inches to raise up my light and then I'm going to have to do something to keep an eye on those branches so they don't stretch anymore or at least they can have enough light to proper development.
From all the plants I have grow indoors this one is the only one that has make my light stretched to the top of the tent I guess it's a good problem to have.
Other than the incredible stretch the plan seems to be healthy and doing pretty well the flower is development and I'm looking forward to see how this is going to turn out.
Day 52 I have rise my light to the top as high as I can and she still grow past the light towards the exhaust system I had to tie her down in order to create an arch and in that way make her receive enough light instead of growing over the top of the light where there is actually no sufficient light if this problem persist I will have no choice but to do super cropping on the tallest branches and see how they react to that I decide to take some cuttings I'm trying to clone this one to see if I can get her outside in the summer in another buddy house and see how she reacts to challenging Ontario weather.
Day 53 I have to Super crop several branches Unfortunately they were growing straight into the light becoming burned by the intense light I hope the plant doesn't react to bad to HST and still deliver awesome buds

Week 26 Grow Diary: Durban Poison Quartet
Lifecycle Status
* Day: 182 (Sprouted March 13)
* Stage: Week 4 of flowering
Environment & Nutrition
* Sunlight: Natural outdoor exposure has decreased to approximately 13 to 13.5 hours daily, driving steady, deep floral progression across the quartet.
* Watering & pH: Maintaining a consistent root zone environment with irrigation water balanced precisely to a pH of 6.2.
* Feed Routine: Supplementing with CalMg to support heavy metabolic demands, structural integrity, and secondary metabolite production during peak bud set.
Canopy Management & Structural Support
* Custom Cages: To accommodate the accelerating weight and stretch of the expanding colas, I built and installed custom support cages constructed from heavy-duty bamboo stakes and twine.
* Training & Airflow: The tiered twine rings help distribute the load evenly across branches, keeping the canopy open for maximum light penetration and excellent airflow between the developing flowering sites.
Observations
The quartet is stacking up nicely as week 4 of flower rolls forward. Calyxes are swelling, trichome production is ramping up on the upper sugar leaves, and the plants are drinking consistently. The new bamboo and twine supports are doing their job keeping the heavier limbs upright against any late-season winds on the deck.
On the radar:
Keep a pH balance of 6.2 and monitor runoff pH. Feed CalMg every 2nd watering. Top dress with kelp meal on the 15th. Continue to monitor bud health and growth.

She’s doing so amazing! She’s catching up at such a fast rate! I guess that’s brand new genetics for you plus that added Zamnripper umph combined force lol I trimmed away the lower leaves off her and she loved it appreciated it and boosted up! Dynomyco is obviously doing it’s thing too helping her get to canopy! And with help of the new light TSW2000 from mars hydro it will be a better outcome! I continue to give her a little spray a few times a day only lightly but it helps with the low humidity! I am in 2 minds with the flip! Like do I wait for this to go 4 weeks at least or just go for it so I’ll decide very soon! As that’s in a few days lol so she’ll be 3.5 weeks! So should be alright!

What up growmies. Weekly update on these beautiful ladies. This week we've had some temperature swings and wow did they not like getting down into the high 50's. They both bounced back but won't be letting it get that cold again if I can help. Flower sites are all over with pistols. No signs of any major issues so will keep the same routine. All in all Happy Growing

Oh so this is my first entry on GrowDiaries.
This Red Dragon started from seed I believe sometime early April.
It's been in a 2 gallon pot for a good month and now is ready to be transplanted in a 15 gallon cloth pot. I'm probably gonna do that today, with some fiming.
I have a mix ready, made of 1/5 dirt,1/5 chicken manure, 2/5 peat moss, 2/5 perlite, and roughly a tablespoon of lime and sulfur, as well as bone meal and stove ashes.
I'm a newbie experimenting so feel free to tell me if I'm doing it all wrong :D

Sorry for the delay was in a wedding this weekend came home and been trimmin like a dog the past few days but I gotta feed everything in this tent tmm so I'm gunna get some pics. If your interested in the pics come back tmm night.
The only 3 autos in 1 gal bags are the mexican airlines, pineapple express and blue dreamatic. Theyll stay pretty small and dry out quick so they are tough to keep up with cuz I only feed when I'm feeding the big ones. I dont mix up separate batches for these I just dilute the big batch which is usually 10-13 gal at a time
