I put these girlies in the dirt on the evening of 1/31/23. They started popping out the dirt (I put the seeds directly in the soil to germinate) on 2/3/23. My first grow this year. This is actually my 5th grow. I didn't put my 4th autos grow on here. Didn't feel like keeping up with it. I grew 3 Gelat.OG. Autos. Harvested back in December. We're still smoking on those now and still have much more to go. It's nice not having to buy... Anyways, I missed growing so here I am at it again. Decided to keep a diary again this time. I hope I can keep up with it consistently like before. Anyways welcome to my 5th journey of growing my own SHIT. Lololol 🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂💕💕💕💕❤️🙌🙌
I've decided that since these are photos, I'm going to top and LST and probably do ScrOG as well like I did with my last diary. I'm doing 4 plants this time which I've never done before. I went from just 2 plants at a time to 3 and now to 4 based on my comfort level. I think I got this. Bought a bigger watering can too since I'll have more plants to water at a time. This is just week one. They're out the dirt and starting to grow a little bit. We'll see how it goes. 😊
Another week down... I'm late posting, lolol... They seem to be growing kinda slow. I think I had the humidity too high so I've turned that down. They dont appear to NOT be growing, just growing slowly. It seems I always have this issue when I first start my grows and I have no clue why. I know it's something I'm doing wrong. Hopefully eventually I'll figure it out. Unsure of why GDP2 and 4 are growing as oddly as they are... they look so odd lolol... as long as they keep growing, I'm good though. 😊
My girls are growing. They seem to be very happy I went ahead and transferred them over to their perma homes early. They're very perky too. Lololol Love it!! 😍❤️💕😘
The girls are still doing well! I haven't topped or LST'ed yet as I'm waiting for them to get one more node. Then I'm going to top and start the LST. Unsure if I'm actually going to do SCROG this time since I've got four plants going instead of 2 or 3 like in the past. Space is limited. We'll see though... I'm using FoxFarm Happy Frog soil and added earthworm castings to that whenever I moved the plants to the 3-gallon bags so I'm sure I won't have to properly feed until several more weeks at least from now. My last batch which was 3 Gelat.O.G autos and I didn't have to feed them until they were well into flowering. Love Happy Frog... FoxFarm all together really. I'll update whenever I decide to start the training this week. It may be tomorrow.
2/28/23: I still haven't started the LST yet, but I did top today. I was actually going to LST and top together but decided I'll give them a day or so to recover... plus, I didn't feel like getting down in the tent tonight... lolol 😍😘
3/1/23: Went ahead and started LST tonight. Let's see how this goes.
The girls are doing well. They look weird because of the way I LST'ed but they are growing so good. I'm late posting this lolol... Week 5 actually began on 3/6/23 but you can see the difference in their size from last week to this one. I plan to top one more time and then throw up my scrog net. I decided I'm going to go ahead and scrog because... I can... lololol
3/11/2023: Welp, they've grown alot over the last few days. I plan to top them one more time tomorrow and throw the net up. I didn't do as much LST as I'd planned but I plan to readjust the LST before I put the net up. I was going to try and do a circular stem but I'm not experienced enough to be able to LST the plant into a shape so I'll be practicing until I can get it right. Tomorrow is the official first day of their 6th week. Depending on how the SCROG'ing goes, I plan to possibly switch over to flower after week 9. We'll see.
The plants are doing well. Got the tent up. They've nearly doubled in size even though you can't really tell from the pics. They're bushy so a defoliation will be coming soon. I've topped them twice, all but GDP3 aka Elle. She seemed weaker than the other plants and kept growing out misshapen leaves, so I only topped that one once. Overall tho they're doing well. I think I'm getting to the point where the nutes in the FoxFarm soil have been depleted and it's time to start giving them nutes in their watering. We'll see. I'm happy. 😍
So I've started adding nutes to their water. I usually never use a full dose of FoxFarm Grow Big because I've had some bad reactions when I did. They perked right up so like I suspected last week, they'd almost consumed all the nutes that came in the FoxFarm soil I'm using. I'm hoping this is the grow that finally doesn't almost give me an early heart attack like all the others 🤣😂😂🤣❤️😍💕
This will be the last week of veggie for the girls. I'll be switching them over this weekend to their flowering schedule. I noticed that some of the newer leaves on the top are lighter than the other leaves, they are yellowish. I added some calmag to their diet because I realized I'd never given them any. I'll be monitoring that to make sure it doesn't get worse. Overall... color me HAPPY heheheee 😃
Yall see the yellowing of the leaves closest to the top? I've since switched my nutes over to Tiger Bloom and I've thrown in some Cal-mag into the mix. They'd gotten kinda droopy but since I changed their nutes up a bit, they've been perky af even tonight as it's getting close to lights out. I switched them over to flower on Sunday. They're already starting to stretch in just a few days which tells me that they're feeling much better. My last video... even though it's not loaded correctly is from tonight. It's 11pm, lights are out in an hour and they're still perky. Love it!! 😍😍😍
4/6/23: Yall.... the plant in the back right hermied!!! OMFG. The 2 tallest branches had seeds on them... just popped up because they weren't there yesterday or at least I didn't notice. The seeds were concentrated at the top, I didn't find any on the rest of the plant but with as bushy as they are, there may be more. I cut those 2 tallest branches down to below where the seeds were but I will be watching that plant and the rest like a hawk for more seeds. I didn't find any on the other 3 plants but still I'm saddened. Unsure of why this one plant is hermie'ing. Smh
As you can see, the girls look awful different. Yeah the 4th plant, aka GDP4, aka Bea, continued to hermie... the boyfriend cut it down and discarded it while I was away (my dad passed (we weren't close)) and did a serious defoliation. If you read my first diary, I don't like the defoliation part so he usually does it lololol. The 3 remaining GDPs are starting to show their flower and they getting into the meat of stretching. I'm sad about Bea, more so about my dad lol, but I wanted to see how much we'd produce with 4 plants this time. It was my first time doing this many. Oh well... what's meant to be will be so 4 plants were not meant to be. Overall though, the girls look healthier than ever. I keep checking them for seeds as well but haven't found any... thanks goodness. 😣
Well they're still doing well. No other seeds found. I guess we're in the home stretch at this point. Just keeping them watered and fed whenever needed.
The boyfriend defoliated the girls again... I cried in the corner as usual... lolol jk... They're doing really well. It seems like after I had to get rid of the hermied plant, the rest of them just perked up and are flourishing. I hope this continues.
The remaining girls are doing great. They stink so badly tho... Like a mix of feet and citrus 🤣🤣 I've sense turned on my exhaust system.
5/2/2023: So I've added more pics... the girls are still doing great so not much to report. I just can't wait til this grow is done and I can cut them down. I love saving $$ by growing my own shit... 😄
I'm a little behind on posting so this is me catching up. The girls appear to have some sort of deficiency or pH issue. Keeping a close eye on them. Or well.... kept a close eye on them. I've had so much going on in my life... another family member passed away so I ended up going out of town again so I've been away from here.
I think the girls definitely has a pH issue and it's causing some sort of lockout. Look at my poor babies lololol... I learned that the bf wasn't pH'ing the water the way he should while I was gone. The bf and I will be doing a flush probably within the next day or so. It's already gone this way too long with my being away because of multiple deaths in my family. Hopefully with the flush they'll recover... actually with the flush I'm positive they will recover. We're only about a month or so away from harvest... gotta get them back right again.
