I've been defoliating slowly trying to keep them small due to a house inspection coming up. Once that's out the way I'll put them in bigger pots then switch to flower. They all outgrew the mutated start and are looking good.

She's doing pretty well but it seems like her buds are not fattening fast. I added some new advanced nutrients supplements so we'll see how this week go. How will I know When to do the week flush with plain water? I have no idea, I guess that will be my research for this week. Day 95.... still waiting on my portable microscope, should be here by tomorrow. Praying to the BUD God's for her buds to fatten up. Is it possible to harvest half of a plant? Day 97.....buds are getting a bit fatter. No complains, everything is perfect with this girl

# The Frozen Archive #1 ❄️📚 ## First Steps Into Ice & Water Extraction | Unboxing, First Washes & New Beginnings Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋❄️🌱 Welcome to the very first entry of a new series that I have wanted to start for a long time. Today we begin The Frozen Archive. This series will follow our journey through fresh frozen material, ice & water extraction, solventless concentrates, curing experiments, storage methods, and everything that happens between harvest and the final product. The goal is simple: To create an honest archive that allows both the community and myself to follow the evolution of these extractions over time. Some entries will focus on specific genetics. Others will focus on techniques, equipment, observations, and experiments. This first entry is all about beginnings. And like many beginnings, it starts with learning. --- ## A Huge Thank You To Zamnesia Before anything else, a huge thank you to Zamnesia for providing the Bubbleator machine and for making this new chapter possible. The machine arrived extremely well packaged and protected. Everything inside the box was carefully wrapped and secured, ensuring that every component arrived in perfect condition. Alongside the machine were accessories, filtration bags, instructions, and everything required to begin exploring the world of machine-assisted ice & water extraction. As someone who has performed hand washes in the past but never worked with a machine like this before, I was genuinely excited to finally put it to work. This is my first documented experience using a Bubbleator. There will be successes. There will be mistakes. There will be lessons. And all of them will become part of this archive. --- ## What Is Fresh Frozen? Before we begin the extraction process itself, it is important to explain what fresh frozen material actually is. Instead of drying and curing the flowers after harvest, the material is frozen immediately after being processed. This helps preserve many of the volatile compounds that can be lost during drying and curing. The goal is to capture the plant as close as possible to its living state. In this case, the material being used comes from the previous run, which many of you have already followed through harvest. Throughout those diaries I intentionally collected and preserved material specifically for these future extractions. Today, that material finally leaves the freezer. --- ## What Is Ice & Water Extraction? Ice & water extraction is one of the most traditional solventless extraction methods available. The concept is beautifully simple. Cold temperatures make the trichome heads brittle. Gentle agitation helps separate those trichomes from the plant material. The resulting mixture is then filtered through a series of micron screens which allow the resin glands to be collected while removing unwanted plant matter. No chemical solvents. No hydrocarbons. No shortcuts. Just ice. Water. Movement. Patience. And trichomes. --- ## The First Wash With the machine prepared, the process could begin. Ice was added. Fresh frozen material was loaded into the 220-micron work bag. More ice was placed on top. Cold water was added. And then the waiting began. Watching the machine start spinning for the first time was exciting. The water slowly changed color as resin and plant material began moving through the system. Temperatures remained extremely cold, hovering around freezing conditions and helping maintain the ideal environment for extraction. This was the first true wash performed with the Bubbleator. Not only were we processing material. We were learning the machine itself. Learning timing. Learning technique. Learning observations. And documenting every step. --- ## Collecting The Resin Once the wash cycle was complete, the water was drained and passed through the filtration system. This is where the magic starts becoming visible. The trichomes that had previously been attached to the flowers now began collecting inside the filtration bags. Seeing those first collections appear is one of those moments that never gets old. The resin was carefully gathered and prepared for drying. Even at this early stage it was already obvious that the material held incredible potential. --- ## Drying & Preparing The Hash After collection, the resin was gently broken apart into smaller pieces to increase surface area and encourage proper drying. Drying remains one of the most important stages of the process. Rushing this step can compromise months of work. Patience here is rewarded later. While the first collections dried, additional washes continued, allowing the extraction process to move forward while the earlier material slowly prepared for its next stage. --- ## Temple Ball Experiments Once properly dried, part of the collected resin was worked into a traditional temple ball. This is one of the oldest and most beautiful forms of hash preservation. Heat. Pressure. Patience. And resin. Nothing more. The resulting temple ball displayed beautiful characteristics. Excellent texture. Wonderful aroma. A clean melt. Beautiful bubbling behavior. And the unmistakable appearance that makes handcrafted temple balls so special. Watching it transform from loose resin into a unified sphere felt almost like watching the extraction complete its final step. --- ## A Second Wash & A Different Approach The second material was processed using the same extraction methodology. Ice. Water. Agitation. Filtration. Collection. Drying. However, this time a different preservation method was chosen. Instead of forming a temple ball, the dried resin was left loose and placed inside a vacuum-sealed bag. All possible air was removed. The goal now is long-term observation. How does this material evolve? How does the aroma change? How does the texture develop? How does it compare to the temple ball? Those questions will be answered in future entries. --- ## This Is Only The Beginning Although this report marks the end of the first extraction session, it is far from the end of the story. The temple ball now begins its cure. The vacuum-sealed resin begins its cure. Additional fresh frozen material remains waiting. More washes are coming. More genetics are coming. More lessons are coming. And every step will become part of The Frozen Archive. For now, this first chapter closes with gratitude. So finally topping time has arrived she’s been topped and so far doesn’t show signs of care just keep growing ,big difference from last week getting bigger day by day now

Una semana mas me quedo sorprendido de lo rapido que ha vuelto a ser una selva...🤣 Tube que doblar la mas alta de la mesa A porque tocaba el foco, se recupera bien, pero no entiendo que a dia de hoy sigan creciendo en altura, porque y es demasiado i me quedo sin espacio. He incrementado el riego de tres fases y de 3’ a 5’ para ver si la misma velocidad ee crecimento lo hace en floración.

Day 58 : Performed what might be the last big LST session, to make the plant flat as much as possible. The last one, because I'll start flowering on next week 😁 So I believe that all next LST session will just be to keep everything a the same eight, but I will not force the plant to be flat anymore. I was also supposed to apply black soap for the last time today, and continue with water for one or two weeks. But i saw one thrip, so I may continue for one week, and apply only water later. But the plant isn't showing any signs of bugs bites, so they are under control I believe. I also got one bottle of biobizz leaf coat, that I'll apply later ;) Damn.. I'm so excited to start the flowering :D She look verry great right now, I'm verry confident with this plant :) Taking care of it is a pleasure, even if it take me one hour to apply LST 😆 Day 60 : Watering and feeding plant, and applied black soap for thrips. Day 61 : Did some Defoliation : Removed dying leaves not receiving light. Day 62 : Spray water + Fishmix (1.6ml/L). This is going to feed the plant by the leaves, and also clean leaves from any thrips. Haven't seen any thrips since like 3 days... But you know how they are ;)

Lemon tree strain is growing big for a seedling

A good week here in the tent. The girls continue to grow and progress. Getting a small amount of water daily. Looking for more progression then I'll transplant the best looking ones.

Another week just passed. I have reduced the main flowering nutrient by 1ml, because I’ve introduced Plagron Green Sensation as an additional flowering nutrient. This thing increases your yield incredibly! If you start looking at bud formations starting this week, you will notice significant changes.

Watered and fed on 19.1.2024 and dli around 45 She’s definitely stretching and is growing a lot day by day . Overall since last feeding she’s overperforming again and I hope I don’t run out of tent soon 😂 Overall she’s doing good and I have to adjust the light on a daily basis to stay on her heels . But damn she’s going all out for me it looks like 😍. Starting to smell a little like some kind of pineapple/skunk kind of way but not unpleasant at all rather very pleasant so far . It looks like she’s about to develop some big buds and I’m ready for the journey .

THURSDAY 11/29: I'm in love with Gertrude. She's in full beast-mode now. Growing a couple inches per day. She's gonna be a producer.👈 Gretyl is growing, but not as quickly as I'd like. Doubt she's ever gonna get very big.. I foliar fed a few times and did a photo session.😍 FRIDAY: Gertrude is still growing vertically, but also packing on the pistils!!!!!!!😁 Gretyl is actually starting to stretch a bit, too. I foliar fed a few times and spun them around. SATURDAY: I fed them today with about 1/3 gallon of bloom nutes, plus a little extra boomerang for the N. Gertrude is the tallest plant in the garden and there's no sign she's slowing down at all! Every one of her branches is growing an inch a day at least. I'm hoping she's a monster, but at the same time, I'm not looking forward to having to supercrop her. I'd so much rather not do any bondage....really uglies up the photos....but I keep growing dissimilar strains and always have an uneven canopy... Gretyl is now directly under the quantum board, and on a throne, so she's about 18 inches from the light. Hoping to kick her into high gear. SUNDAY: Gretyl perked up a little more and might have even grown a little! Gertrude is still stretching! MONDAY: I foliar fed them a few times and moved them around a little. Gretyl must have soil drainage problems..she kinda wilts for a day following every watering...I started probing her pot today and will continue to do so for a few days. TUESDAY: Gretyl looked horrible today. I probed the hell out of her soil again and fed her about 12oz of ph'd water with boomerang, calimagic, kangaroots, and some powdered bat guano. If she doesn't perk up in the next day or so, I'll assume she's rootbound and transplant her into a 5 gallon pot with more perlite in the mix. Gertrude also looks like she has some drainage problems, but not too terribly bad. I probed her soil today and also gave her about 8oz of the same solution.

Day 78. Kushes were finally ready and all postponed work was done. Girls will breath better, all lolitoped personally, now two tall Zkittalicious took all 4th row and both Kushes are in 3rd now. Never did it so late in flower, took half of huge bin bag shoots, leaves and other crap away. Biggest branch trimming ever for me... Changed feeding a bit, they all look very hungry. Day 80. Plain water and girls are flying !!! Have very nice and super stacked Zkittalicious, looks like she will be my new love ;))) Happy Growing !!!

Week 2 starting with gsc putting out begging of pistils with others shortly behind I'm sure as it is day 10 since 12/12. on day 11 flower pistis are visable on blueberry and girlscout cookies. On day 13 OG Kush has pre flowers just waiting on blueberry muffin which were planted more recently than the others.

Die Kleinste, aber Blüten, Ende nie, ein ausgezeichnetes Blatt-blüten Verhältnis. Die klebrigen Finger riechen nach bitterer Limette und ein Schuss Erdbeere, echt was eigenes.

Day 15 Update : Decided to grab a tape measure to check canopy heights on a whim and discovered that my light was hanging 35 inches from “Cellie” Cereal and Milk . Wowzers 👀! So I raised the plant to be 26 inches from the light that I also dimmed down to about 40% . It works out that I can try to get the most out of the end of flower stretch for the older gal who shall no more than be mentioned for reference to accentuate the great glorious glamorous “Cellie”. The humidity plummeted after I did a major defoliation of the older gals so I adjusted the airflow rate of the lower in-line fan and the upper inline exhaust fan with the carbon filter . I lowered them both to the lowest setting & the humidity returned to “normal” Let me explain my reasonings/thinking behind my adjustments which are experimental at BEST. It’s worth also mentioning without having to preset a single thing on my 70pint Dehumidifier located inside this tent it is legitimately only plugged into my PRESET humidistat controller which is set to 50%-46% RH WITH an alarm on highs of 55% and lows of 43% . In real life what this translates to is when this humidity controller triggers the dehumidifier ON @50%RH immediately the fan of the Dehumidifier begins running. However this does not help the rising humidity that is occurring (it will reach 55%-60.2%RH ). Given a fixed amount of time , the condenser(atleast what it sounds like . .again, it could be anything) turns on . It is when this “condenser” “sounding” component begins working that the humidity IMMEDIATELY plummets down to my low point of 46% So to make a long story short the humidity gets vacuumed to 46%RH & the dehumidifier turns off, bc of the PURPOSEFUL EXPERIMENTAL TWEAKING making all air exchange fans low leveled the humidity slowly but steadily rises to 50%RH then the dehumidifier is triggered on but only the fans initially and the humidity eventually reaches 55%RH-60.2%RH & then the humidity gets all its hair snatched out by the dehumidifier and drops back down to 46%RH. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 with all that said of anybody was even interested per my tents leaf canopy height temperature average good to great OR LITE GREEN TO DARK GREEN VPD for my temperature begins @ 60 & ends @ 52 which is kind of a perfect storm for OUR GIRL “CELLIE” oooooooorrrrrrrrrrr sssssssoooooo I think/hope . She still hasn’t needed watering since being transplanted, she should now ready and willing to stretch those toes and we need the opportunities to top water that soil a few times to make those dry amendments available to her . More pics of later the week coming as we go . . Hopefully . Diligence is a practice Day #17: giving her some water today, no specific amount just until she feels the right amount of “heavy”. She was given 3 different batches of water once ph’d to 6.3 once ph’d to 6.7 one ph’d to 6.5. She’s grown an inch in 2 days. Also swapped out the smart hygrometer system to a different brand . So far it has all the capability I was looking for but I need to run 2 more experiments to know for certain it lives up to my needs and its price tag 😁 Day 18 Update: she grew an inch taller nice 👍 The smart hygrometer system has reported/experience Bluetooth failures twice already(although I don’t know exactly what that means considering I purchased this for it’s Wifi capabilities ) I didn’t think to check it whilst I was away so I cannot yet say If it meets my final expectation/need I bought a soil ph meter & it indicates “my mix” is at 3.1 ph 👀 hmm 🤔 I’m wondering if this is a must fix or can I get by .eventually she will be transplanted and at that time I can use my new digital soil ph probe to construct her new blend moving forward but I am curious is I mixed another batch at 3 something ph would it matter ? In the beginning I wasn’t ph’ing any of my watering just because I assumed my soil mixture was highly acidic because of the 70ish pecernr peat moss base . I also assumed that it would be acid fixing for the water I put in it and therefore wouldn’t need to ph it and I did just fine just giving plain old tap water when thirsty until I experience VPD issues & in an effort to pinpoint what my exact issue was and how to fix it I of course eliminated all the variables and dialed in on my ph of my feed water and now my soil so it leaves me wondering does the soil need to be relatively 6.1 ph or is the 3.1 I’m flying at alright also . I checked the other 3 currently in here getting through flower & two of them are in the 3’s for ph & one of them is 6.2(the largest of them all) how ever she was the largest of them all always and oddly enough I mixed one big batch for them and transplanted them at the same time so I get two of them having the same ph as “Cellie” but the other that is in ph heaven is an oddball Should I top her here or supercrop later hmm I need to decide my vision for this thing Day 19 Update: ponytailed her youngest internode for about 16hrs she aggressively popped out of it twice ! It didn’t even work for 24hrs when I try it again it’ll be before the internode is so strong . Also rigged up a 16in oscillating wall-fan that currently being held with 2 zip ties , 2 rubber bands , & a smidget of duct tape and MAJORITY OF FAITH keeping it in place . The biggest plus to my added circulation is that I got the 16in fan for ! A win is a win . Pics uploads will be held for the next 3 days until the end of week 3 upload . Drop a thumbs up Day 20 Update : THE FAN FELL! But no one was damaged or injured . I re-rigged it . This time with duct tape , 3 popsicle sticks , 2 heavy duty zip ties & 1 regular strength zip tie . SHES SOLID NOW 😂 I did some solid rigging this time & have videoed my handy work . Also I forgot to turn my A/C back on before leaving the house so temps and humidity skyrocketed and swung for 9 hours until I got home . The temp in the tent was 84.4 and the humidity went from 42.4 to 57.5 to 42 every three mins. Day 21 Update : SHES A PRETTY GIRL. RQS says Cereal Milk is a slightly sativa dominant hybrid but the pheno of this particular seed seems to lean more towards indica I’m not mad at it ! I’m getting more stoked to see what she can do. She still hasn’t received any additional water since day #18.

Flowering day 10 and the stretch starts to show. Defenitely had some CalMag issues but increasing the dose helped. Also read that the strain is quite CalMag hungry in general. STIXX50 is now at 80%.

26. Oktober Runtz keimt minimalistisch. Ähnlich wie bei beiden Cookies. Runtz ist jetzt im 11l Topf Beten wir dass es klappt Tropimango alles gut Cookies gelato alles gut. 28. Oktober Cookies gelato wächst nun deutlich schneller. Tropimango wird ebenfalls schneller. Wachstumphase hat begonnen. Habe das erste mal den Wurzel Dünger und den blattdünger angewandt. Runtz noch nicht sichtbar 29. Oktober Die runtz ist klein sichtbar Cookies gelato macht was es soll Tropimango auch 1. November Cookies Gelato ist nun 17 Tage alt und sieht tip top aus. Das sehr misslungene Umtopfen hat sie gut verkraftet. Tropimango ist nun 14 Tage alt. Sie ist deutlich kleiner und die Blätter haben eine interessante Färbung. Sie wächst deutlich langsamer (Genetik ist auch deutlich kleiner) aber wirkt sehr lebendig. Runtz ist nun 3 Tage alt und sieht gut aus.

This plant just amazes me how many thricomes it has , i would definitely recommend this strain. I'm curious how it will smoke when it dries up! 😁 It smells very fruity and piney and you can see the crystals shining on it. Very happy with the results 🙂
