[ Information ] For all information on this grow, including strain and room details, please see the first week of veg. [ Updates ] Day 10 - Watered today, 1.2ec feeding of mainly organics (Fulvic/Humic, Kelp, Molasses, Big Bloom) with runoff. 6.8ph. Group one is stretching much harder due to plant density, I will be adding a net soon. Day 13 - Watered today with the nutrients listed for this week. 2.2ec at 6.5ph. 80gals total. Added a small dose of Open Sesame for the first time today as bud sites are starting to form on all plants. Added a net to Group 1 yesterday, I will add the nets for Group 2 in a couple days. Group 1 plants are 38-40 inches, group 2 plants are 32-34 inches. I may adjust net height, this isn't normally how I run a cycle; I'm trying a few different things side-by-side. The "one plant per square foot of canopy" group has consistently shown that even with a short veg period there is far too many wasted growth nodes on the sides of the canopy. The plants around the edge tend to branch out instead of up, as they're naturally trying to find sunlight. My last attempt at using these side branches with heavy topping of the middle nodes resulted in a higher yield, as expected as the light footprint was 5x5 instead of 4x4, which defeats the purpose of "one plant per square foot of canopy" anyways. A better test would have been to stunt the growth of all middle nodes enough to weave the side branches into the main canopy, though this seems to be a waste of time without much gain. I'm much happier with Group 2 which has 1 plant per 2 square feet of canopy space. While it also has side branching, the difference in height at the canopy level of the sides and middles are not nearly as different as Group 1, which means a more even light distribution without the need of a net. As overgrown as the room is getting, they still have 7-8 days before they're defoliated a final time.

Fabric pot plants still trailed their plastic pals. Midweek (Wedโ€“Sat) was a ghost town, and by Saturday, growth stalled hardโ€”soil water crashed to 16%. Sundayโ€™s 3L feed (1.6 EC) saved the day, with runoff at a happy 1.5 EC / 800 PPM. Conditions stayed decent, but a high VPD (1.4) midweek and low COโ‚‚ (500 ppm) didnโ€™t help. Light bumped to 65% but dropped to 50% Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜… Lessons: โ†’Nutrient Alert: Overfeeding keeps haunting the fabric potโ€”use lighter feeds (1.0โ€“1.2 EC) for autos. โ†’Donโ€™t Ghost: Midweek neglect killed momentum. Set reminders or automate watering to avoid stalling. โฐ โ†’VPD Matters: High VPD (1.4) stressed plants. Boost humidity to keep it 1.0โ€“1.2. ๐Ÿ’จ Fabric Pot Woes: Dries faster than plasticโ€”check soil daily to keep it consistent. ๐Ÿ‘€ Takeaway: Overfeeding and a hands-off midweek slowed things down, but Sundayโ€™s fix got โ€˜em back on track. Stay on top of feeds and water! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ˜‰

Weekly update on these beautiful ladies. Did another defoliating this week as well as lollipopped them up another node. I feel it helps mature the lower flower sites and allows plenty of airflow though the leafs. I introduced bloom nutes as well as P&K. All in all Happy Growing

Straight water this last week and she sure has changed colors. A pale pink/purple look everywhere. Entire 4x4 tent willed with one plant. Looking forward to seeing the final yields. Seeing a good amount of amber/cloudy Trichomes so itโ€™s time to chop. So far the only downside to this strain is the massive amount of leaf production. Itโ€™s way too much to be honest.

Cruising. Kept the nutrients the same as last week as the plants are going a bit slower than advertised by crop king and Sonoma seeds. Looking like flowering will take ~10 weeks when all said and done. Minor amount of defoliation done. Will be the last time to make sure I donโ€™t stunt these autos. And ONLY defoliating. No pruning as Iโ€™m too afraid it will stunt the plants. Lots of buds forming now. Plants looking great. Noticed that the sun shines through my windows for several hours and directly onto the plants so I have started opening up the tent everyday and letting the sun shine on them. Helping to ripen the lower buds and have them be less larfy when all said and done. This does cause the plants to drink water like no other so have had to up the volume on fertigations. Iโ€™ve been using a LUX meter to check and make sure top colas arenโ€™t getting too much light. The thing works great! Well worth the purchase. My mothers on the other side of the tent are big so need less light and as a result I have been able to move two of their lights in close to the flowering autos. The additional light is definitely helping bulk up the plant. Currently over the two plants there is (as listed) an HLG 135w Rspec, an HLG 100 V2 3000k, an HLG 65 V2 4000k and a Mars Hydro TS600. Tons of light! Iโ€™m in isolation as 2 of my housemates got COVID. As a result, I have a LOT of time to spend babying these plants and it is paying off. See you next week!

01/03/19 The girls popped, 1 didnt make it so we have 2 left. We got lucky again and got another trident! Hopefully she keeps producing 3 branches at every node. 24/03/19 Today ill germinate the seeds getting ready for the coming run. I wont be ph'ing my water unless my soil's ph is off. I read all over 420magazine about not ph'ing your water when growing in soil. This explains why my first grow was such a success and started having ph issues as soon as i started ph'ing my feeds. Ill keep my soil in check to make sure it stays in the 6.5 range. I hope this grow will go better then my last one. I have high hopes for this grow๐Ÿคž. Ill be using smartpots to allow max oxygen to the roots and so ill be able to water throughly without any issues. Wish me luck.

Everything has been fine for a week. We trimmed the top of our girl; she is healthy, eating well, and growing in a 3-liter pot. When should we transplant her into a larger pot?

#seedsman420growoff and #SeedsmanSeeds ๐Ÿ“† Week 5, 25-31 May 2024 25-27 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 28 May - Defoliated plant. 29 May - Placed scrog ring on trellis system, bent top of plant over 90 degrees, adjusted and spread branches (see pictures). 30-31 May - Observed and let the plant grow. ๐Ÿ“‘ Iโ€™m very pleased with the way this plant has responded to the nutrient schedule so far. Now it is time to see how she will do with training. I like using a version of the scrog method most because it gives me the greatest space for bud growth overall. My experiences have taught me that under these lights there is about 15-18โ€ worth of quality vertical bud potential. Anything below that line is only draining on the plant, and not receiving adeqate DLI. So I dont need to focus on a tall plant - rather a wide one. Now that she is under a scrog the DLI has a significant canopy increase. What Iโ€™ve done with this plant is cut all side shoots off the main branches up to the scrog. She will grow for another week to allow all for growth to develop just above that and then be flipped to flower. Iโ€™ve never grown this plant before, but assumeing she can double her size during pre-flower, Iโ€™ll have plenty of room in my grow tent. The Trellis System: is made with 1/2โ€ (12.7mm) white, SharkBite PEX, 1/2โ€ pex clamps, small screws/nuts #6-32 x 3/8 in (to hold clamps opposite each other, this is what holds the structure together, side bars, rings, scrog), 1/2โ€ pex straight coupling connectors (to connect rings, and extensions), nylon tape and nylon cord. The frame design is independant from the bucket and can be put on anytime before or after the start of the grow. It simply snaps together (nothing needs to be crimpted), the rings stay in tact with coupling and tape, the netting is strung once for the most part, I prefere 2โ€ squares, and held in place by clamps. The size of the rings depends on the size of your pot, the bottom and top ring are measured seperately. The scrog ring is determined by the size of the tent or desired spread. It takes 5 side bars evenly spaced apart and snapped on the bottom ring 1st to hold the frame sturdy in place, their length should start flat from the bottom to about 8โ€ above the top of the bucket. Place the pot into the bottom ring with 5 side bars already attached, lift up the bars, then put on and attach the top ring, this prevents it from moving. Both are then placed on a 12โ€ Bonsai turn table for easy access and observation of the plant. The final scrog is placed on when the desired height is close to being achieved, then maneuvered down over the plant. A simple design that allows you to easily adjust the netting (place extenders on side bars faceing in opposite direction for additional height) and opens many other possabilities for training. See pictures for an example. ๐Ÿถ 25 May nutrient solution changed ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ 25 May feeding schedule updated ๐Ÿ’ง Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 ๐Ÿ‰ Nutrient Solution EC 2.3 at 73 degree F ๐Ÿ”† Light power at 60%, DLI 30-35 canopy coverage at 18hrs ๐Ÿ˜ค Using General Hydroponics, HGC728040, Dual Diaphragm Air Pump, 320 GPH That is it for this week. Thanks for the look, read and stopping by.
