Excited to grow this strain as it ticks all the boxes, 29% T.H.C., very resinous, good yields of up to 650 grams per square metre & fast flowering. Definitely time for a new strain as I've been growing the same 2 strains for the last few runs (Tropicana Cookies & Orange sherbet FF) both great strains to grow, really good genetics! From Fast Buds, some of the nicest & strongest buds I've grown & definitely the strongest pot I've smoked for as long as I can remember!!! I usually germinate in wet paper towel then plant them into jiffy starter's. This grow I planted seed straight into rock wool & she sprouted in 3 days. Started feeding nutrients 0.75ml per litre at end of week 1 & increased to 2ml per litre at end of week 2, topped her after she had grown 4 nodes & will be mainlining her, kept branches directly beneath top ones to give 4 branches , will grow 3 to 4 nodes & top again. Will veg her for another 5 or 6 weeks or until the plants in the flowering tent are harvested & dried she is currently in week 3 day 19 of veg & going great, really powering along. I have pinched/squashed main stem gently to strengthen stem which works well, much thicker & stronger main stem! It doesn't hurt or stress her if done lightly!
She is going well, topped main & secondary branches ( 2nd topping) & performed some l.s.t. training & mainline training. Thanks to Fast Buds for the cool apparel & FF seeds, my prize for being 1 of 10 winners for November diary of the month 👍
I am loving the Genetics from FAST BUDS! The quality is fantastic! But the hardiness of their plant's is great!!!
This young girl has copped some abuse!
During my training of her, I have gotten quite rough on many occasions, not on purpose! But accidentally breaking branches e.t.c. However I tape her up with some tape & she comes good after a while. I've found that as long as their is still some of the branch intact, she will mend herself & I've had branches that were broken through more than 3 quarters the way! Just wrap some tape around it to hold it together & it ends up coming good. I've also deliberately been rough with HST, squashing branches, pinching to strengthen stems. Damaging & squashing branches to get the shape & direction I'm after. I actually go around & lightly pinch ( squash ) all new branching to thicken & strengthen them! It works very well. So yeah they are very hardy plants & at the end of the day they are a weed!!!
Going well, very bushy, defoliated her. Very strong branches from the HST. Veging for 8 weeks & currently harvesting flowering tent, so she will be put into flower soon.
Day 16 week 3 of flowering. Wow this girl has really stretched!!! She is up against the light & I can't raise the light anymore as the fan & filter is above the light up against the roof. Had to super crop the tallest branch & have tried to open her up some more with some serious bending & tying down carefully as the stems split pretty easily. Defoliated her & some more lolliepoping, she is going to grow some really nice big buds 👍
Day 41 of flowering, week 6, & WOW what a plant she has certainly gone crazy, she's just on 3.5 foot tall! & I've run out of space!
Thankfully due to the way I've got these lights set up I was able to lift 1 of the added viper spectra lights up giving just enough room so I didn't need to super crop them. Light is very close but no signs of stress or burning. As for the other viper spectra xs 1500 & the Mars Hydro FC-E 4800 they are as high as they can go due exhaust fan & filter being mounted above. Has 15 colas mostly between 50cm & 60cm, is very sticky & frosty & starting to smell a bit.
Week 7 of flowering. This girl has gone wild!!! She's got BIG stacked colas with huge buds. In the end I had to super crop her over & set up a scrog/ trellis net to hold her down & support the weight of the colas, which I probably should have done a while ago.
As it was more about getting the light down closer to the other plants.
