Grow Diary: Durban Poison Girls (Week 6) Dates: April 17 – April 23, 2026 Status: Vegetative Stage Overview The girls (DP1, DP4, DP5, and DP6) are looking robust and vibrant as they hit their stride in Week 6. The foliage is a healthy, deep green, and the stem strength has significantly improved this week. We are maintaining a strong indoor environment while watching the Easter Colorado weather closely to time their move to the deck. Weekly Environmental Log The weather was a bit of a rollercoaster this week. While indoor temps remained stable, the external conditions impacted humidity and light intensity coming through the windows. • Temp/Humidity: Consistent indoor temps at 22°C–24°C. Humidity was slightly lower this week due to the breezy outdoor conditions, requiring a bit more frequent misting to keep the "Sweetener" uptake optimal. • Weather Highlight: April 17 was quite chilly (5.5°C), but by the 20th, we saw a beautiful spike to 26°C. The girls enjoyed the extra natural light boost from the back porch windows during those sunny afternoons. Feeding & Maintenance We stayed the course with the organic regimen this week to ensure no nutrient lockout before the big transplant. • Nutrients: Half strength FOOP Veg and Sweetener administered on Tuesday (April 21). • Watering: Soil was drying out faster this week as the root systems expanded. Switched to a slightly heavier watering volume to ensure the 50/50 soil blend stayed moist but well-aerated. Plant Observations • DP1 & DP5: Showing the most vertical growth. Might need a final top above the fourth node if they continue to stretch toward the light panel before Mother's Day. • DP4: Very bushy! The LST is creating a nice wide structure that will fill out the 25-gallon fabric bag perfectly. • Pest Control: The African marigold seedlings are coming along nicely—no signs of fungus gnats or mites on the Durban girls. Upcoming for Week 7 • Prepare the 25-gallon fabric bags with the 50/50 Miracle-Gro mix. • Monitor overnight lows; we are still about three weeks out from the safe "after Mother's Day" transplant date. • Begin checking the "Garden" calendar for hardening-off windows.

Hydro weed is the 💣 week 10

Diese Woche konnte man richtig sehen, wie die Buds nochmal ordentlich an Masse zugelegt haben. Von Tag zu Tag sind sie dichter und fetter geworden – genau so will man das sehen. Es macht einfach Spaß, morgens ins Zelt zu schauen und direkt einen Unterschied zu erkennen. Neu dazugekommen ist noch eine Runtz Auto, die bekommt aber ihr eigenes, separates Diary, sobald ich mal die Zeit finde, das ordentlich zu starten. Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit laufen weiterhin konstant. Keine Einbrüche, keine Schwankungen – alles stabil im optimalen Bereich. Genau so soll’s sein. Das Setup läuft aktuell wirklich rund. Ich bin echt gespannt, was am Ende dabei rumkommt. Wenn die Buds so weitermachen, könnte das richtig stark werden. Beim nächsten Run wird – wie schon angekündigt – wieder mit Scrog gearbeitet. Der Unterschied ist einfach zu deutlich, um es nicht zu machen. Happy Growing Growmies

Week 8 there hasn’t been any drastic changes for either of the girls. Girl #1 is looking better and better each day. Girl #2 is just being as stubborn as can be. Girl #2 still hasn’t showed any signs of flowering. I’m gonna continue to be patient with her she’s a very late bloomer. I can’t believe she’s been in veg for 8 weeks.I know some of you expert growers have experienced a long veg similar to my experience.Not sure if it’s good or bad luck just yet being my first run of autos. I have to admit. When i saw this week coming to The end and girl #2 wasn’t showing signs of flowering, I got down face to face with her quietly whispering (You better flower soon or it’s time for the trash can 😂😂) lol 😆 I had a weak moment was very frustrated. I thank all of you that have shared your information cause without it I would have been panicking. I’m gonna be patient and let the plant tell me when she’s ready. Everything has been running smoothly. I have given both girls light bloom nutrients. I have learned so much and it has been a pleasure watching the magic happen. Weird bud growth, hoping what look like fox tails fill out real well in the future. Have been saturating well and going lighter with the fertigation on this plant, in the future I think going into flower I will just cut the n part of my feed completely unless I see deficiency of some sort. As the bloom component still has some n in it. 7/26 Read EC in base at 2.5, definitely acceptable. Will continue not giving N to this plant, while the rest get get A.B.E. 3/3/1.5

Back plant growing so fast, taller then the other and roots going into the water below already. Small plant up front has been going slower from the start. Slow to poke its head out and look at the light and has been behind ever since.

Esa familia, ya hemos vuelto fumetillas, ya estoy de nuevo activo para explicaros mis métodos para cultivar vuestra yerba. Bueno contamos esta vez con una cookies gelato de royalqueenseeds, la verdad por oídas y lo que leí, que son una cepa bastante fuerte tiene bastante thc, veremos estas semanas cómo avanzan. Si germinación 100%, 5/5 ejemplares germinados y preparados para brotar. . Hasta ahora el ph lo dejamos en 5.8 la temperatura ronda los 22/24 grados y la humedad está en torno al 80%. . Ahora en la alimentación, gama agrobeta. 0,5 ml x L Piramid , vía radicular. 0,5 ml x L Growth black line , vía radicular. 0,1 gr x L Cancerbero , vía radicular. 0,1 ml x L Tucán , vía radicular. 0.1 ml x L Flash Root , vía radicular. 0,4 ml x L Great Green , vía foliar. . Empezamos con muy buen pie, espero que no surjan muchos problemas en futuras semanas, buenos humos 💨💨💨.

Odore intenso, fortunatamente ne ho messi 2 di semi ed ora posso godermi queste bellezze che sono SPAZIALI. Mi fanno impazzire sia per l'odore che per l conformazione di entrambe. Pictures are made while watering so it has + 30 cm in height in the beginning i fucked ip ph + with the lamp it was 2 close to the buds they turned purple never had this type of issue this early on veg hope plant will develop everything what it should cuz now ppm+ ph is normalysed

So Early Tangie, aka TheRealFoxtailQueen had made 72.03 of airy a bit foxtailed daytime smoke, she is a bit weaker on taste and strengh than her sister Fatty, the only other Tangie i tried already. So from all 3 curently choped and dried plants ( and i quess the rest ) she is the worst. Day 99. Strawberry Cough and other girls run fine, need to do defoliation for her, but work and future hollyday takes all my time away... Day 100. Two girls are jared, life is good,numbers are far off my expectations and i am happy with that ;))))) Day 104. Sativa pheno aka Lanky tangie falled today, her photos and videos in harvest diary, there i will put dry bud photos later. Strawberry Cough finally had time to go to hairdresser and thats what we got ;))) Never trimed any plant ever so hard as this round and its third defoliation round for her. Lets see. Pure ph water to both girls today. I never do any hard training with nutes in watering cycle, girls always get pure ph water. Strawberry Cough loves CalMag as FastDiesels. Have in mind ! Day 105. Strawberry took it like a champ and looks like a champ, believe it or not, flowers smells now with strawberries and thats above the moon for me ! Late FastDiesel will get last round of nutes on friday and only 3 weeks of water for her left. I am going on holidays for 3 weeks and one friend will be watering them, dont want anything of him than just 6.5 ph, strawberry will survive without one or two feeds, soil is ritch still tho, i hope at least ;))) We shall see .. End of week !

My plant is growing pretty well. She has developed many new nodes, since I used fertilizer last wednesday. I want to top her next wednesday or so, becuase of my limited tent-height. I also put the light from 14 DLI to 20 DLI. I want to increase the intensity every day a bit more to let her slowly adapt. Edit: I rotated her so that she can absorb light evenly and therefore grow evenly. Update 08.04.24: Some roots have reached the surface, so I decided to cover them with some new soil. I also decided to top her today and bend some of her leafes down. Update 09.04.24: I actually didn't want to start LST until next week. The topping is actually intended to strengthen the growth of the secondary branches, but a few of these branches received little light. That's why I decided to start with LST now and continue to enable the growth of the secondary branches.

Ladies are growing tall quickly - much quicker than the other seedlings in DWC systems at the moment. Rather unexpected actually. No additional nutrients added, only adding water to wet the surface when it looked really dry. Repotting next week into larger pots.

🍑 Passion Fruitz by Zamnesia – Week 9 | The Girl Who Refuses to Hurry Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚 At this point, I think we can officially stop pretending that Passion Fruitz is going to hurry up. She's not. 😂🍑 We're now at week 9 from seed, and this girl has been showing signs of flowering for roughly three weeks. Three weeks. And somehow, when I look at her, I get the feeling she's still thinking about whether she really wants to commit to the idea. She's giving us the same message she's been giving us for weeks: “I'm getting there. Relax.” And honestly? I've learned to listen. Because while Passion Fruitz may be incredibly slow compared with the rest of the tent, she's certainly not doing nothing. She's building. She's growing. She's staying beautiful. And she's giving us another fascinating example of just how differently genetics can behave when they're given the same environment. 🐌 The Slowest Girl in the Room If you've been following this phenotype from the beginning, you already know her reputation. Passion Fruitz is slow. Not a little slow. Not slightly behind. We're talking about a plant that seems to have completely rejected the concept of rushing. 😂 The other plants around her have moved further into flowering, while Passion Fruitz continues to take her time. We're now several weeks into seeing those first signs of flower development, and the transition is still remarkably gradual. But here's the important part: She doesn't look unhappy. She doesn't look weak. She doesn't look like she's struggling. She's simply on her own schedule. And that distinction matters. Because this is exactly what makes a phenotype hunt so interesting. 🌱 Slow Doesn't Mean She's Standing Still Although her flowering transition has been painfully slow, the plant itself has continued developing beautifully. She's around 72 cm, with a compact, powerful structure and some absolutely beautiful foliage. And those leaves... Wow. They're big. They're beautifully formed. They're carrying that lush green colour that makes this girl so enjoyable to photograph. When I look at her, I don't see a plant that has stopped growing. I see a plant that has spent a lot of time investing in her structure. Strong branches. A dense framework. Large fan leaves. Healthy new growth. She's been building the machine. She's just taking her time deciding when to turn that machine completely toward flowers. 🍑 Three Weeks of "Almost There" This is probably the funniest part of her story right now. We've watched her start showing signs of flowering. Then we watched her continue showing signs of flowering. And now we're watching her... continue showing signs of flowering. 😂😂😂 At this point I'm starting to wonder whether Passion Fruitz has invented her own flowering stage. Maybe this is Passion Fruitz Extended Pre-Flower. But jokes aside, this is actually a fascinating observation. Under the same overall environmental strategy as the rest of the room, she's expressing a very different developmental rhythm. And that's precisely the kind of thing I wanted this project to reveal. The plants don't read the diary. They don't look at the calendar. They don't care what week everyone else is in. They follow their genetics. And this girl apparently has a very long internal calendar. 🍃 The Green I Love One thing I absolutely don't have any complaints about is her foliage. She continues to look beautiful. The colour is strong. The leaves are large. The structure is healthy. And the new growth continues looking vibrant. This is another reason I'm not interested in trying to force her into somebody else's timeline. If the plant is healthy and continuing to develop, then there is value in simply observing. I don't need to make her flower faster just because the plants beside her are further ahead. The entire point is to see what she wants to do. And Passion Fruitz is making that lesson very easy. 🌿 A Structure Worth Looking At The more I photograph this girl, the more I appreciate her architecture. She's not a giant plant. She's not trying to reach the ceiling. But she's compact, sturdy and beautifully built. The large fan leaves give her an almost tropical appearance, while the branching structure underneath shows just how much development has happened before the flowering phase really got moving. There is something quite satisfying about seeing a plant like this. She's essentially saying: “I may be late, but when I arrive, I'll have something to show you.” And now I'm genuinely curious whether that's exactly what she's planning. 📸 Back to the Studio This week I decided Passion Fruitz deserved another trip to the studio. And I'm glad I did. Sometimes when you're looking at plants inside the tent, surrounded by lights, equipment and twenty-plus other plants, it's easy to overlook the individual beauty of one phenotype. Put her on her own... and suddenly you notice everything. The size of those leaves. The colour. The spacing. The branching. The little details in the new growth. The personality of the plant itself. That's one of the reasons I enjoy photography so much during this project. The camera forces me to slow down. And with Passion Fruitz... apparently we're already very good at slowing down. 😂📸🍑 💡 Same Room. Very Different Story. The 8×8 Adventure continues to prove one thing over and over again: Genetics matter. We're giving these plants the same general environment. The same lighting philosophy. The same irrigation system. The same shared reservoir. The same overall cultivation strategy. Yet Passion Fruitz has chosen a completely different timeline. Some phenotypes race into flowering. Some stretch aggressively. Some build flowers almost immediately. And Passion Fruitz? She takes her time. That's not necessarily a disadvantage. It's simply her story. And we're here to document it rather than rewrite it. 💧 Feeding & Consistency The room continues following the same flowering nutrition strategy: 🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L 🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L 🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L 🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L ⚗️ Lemon Kick / pH Plus as required The solution remains around EC 2.0 mS/cm, with pH around 6.0. The important thing with a phenotype like Passion Fruitz is resisting the temptation to chase her timeline with unnecessary changes. She's slow. We've established that. 😂 But she's healthy. She's growing. She's developing. So consistency remains the approach. Give her the same foundation. Watch what she does with it. And that consistency gives us an even better opportunity to observe just how differently this phenotype behaves. 💡 Lighting the Slow Girl The lighting strategy continues to be particularly interesting with Passion Fruitz. The overhead lighting provides the main source, while the additional lighting deeper in the canopy helps us observe what happens beyond the top layer. Her structure gives us plenty of foliage to work with, and as flowering continues to develop, I'm curious to see how those sites respond throughout the plant. Again, there is no rush. We're simply watching. And documenting. And waiting. Patiently. Very patiently. 😂🍑 🔍 What I'm Watching Now At this point, my biggest question is incredibly simple: How long is Passion Fruitz actually going to take? We're entering week 9 from seed. We've been watching flowering signs for around three weeks. And she's still moving at her own wonderfully frustrating pace. But here's the thing... I'm no longer annoyed by it. I'm fascinated. Because eventually, she will have to reveal where this story is going. Will she suddenly accelerate? Will the flower sites begin developing more rapidly? Will she remain the slowest girl in the room all the way through? I honestly don't know. And that's exactly why I'm enjoying her. 🍑 Beauty Doesn't Have a Schedule Sometimes we get so focused on timelines that we forget to look at the plant itself. Passion Fruitz may be behind the others in flowering development. But look at her. She's beautiful. Beautiful colour. Beautiful leaves. Beautiful structure. Healthy growth. And a phenotype that has already given us a completely different story from almost everything else in the room. She's not late. She's just writing a different calendar. And I'm perfectly happy to keep turning the pages. 🔮 Looking Ahead So what happens next? Honestly... we wait. 😂 I want to see whether this slow transition finally begins accelerating. I want to see the flowering sites become more defined. I want to see whether her impressive structure translates into equally impressive flower development once she finally decides to commit. And most importantly, I want to continue documenting her exactly as she is. No forcing. No unnecessary intervention. No trying to make Passion Fruitz become another phenotype. She's Passion Fruitz. And apparently, Passion Fruitz takes her sweet time. 💚 The Girl Who Makes Us Wait There are plants in this project that make you excited because they're explosive. There are plants that impress you because they're enormous. There are plants that surprise you with their colours or aromas. And then there's this girl. She makes you wait. And wait. And wait. 😂🍑 But every time I look at her, I find another detail worth appreciating. The leaves. The structure. The colour. The development. The potential. And that little question sitting in the back of my mind: “What happens when this girl finally decides it's time?” That's what I'm waiting for. 🙏 Thank You Another week. Another chapter. And another reminder that plants don't care about our schedules.
