👑 Godfather OG – Pheno B Week 5 | Elegance in Every Stretch Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! One of the greatest joys of running a true phenotype hunt is discovering how differently each individual plant expresses herself, even when every variable remains exactly the same. Same genetics. Same lighting. Same environment. Same feeding philosophy. Yet every plant tells her own story. Godfather OG Pheno B is proving that perfectly. While some of her sisters are building broader, bushier canopies, this lady has chosen elegance over width, reaching confidently toward the lights with long, graceful branches and beautifully spaced flowering sites. She isn't trying to be the biggest. She's simply becoming herself. And that's exactly what makes phenotype hunting so fascinating. 🌱 The Journey So Far If this is your first visit to this diary, welcome! Every plant in this project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Rather than extending the vegetative stage before inducing flowering, every seed has lived under twelve hours of light and twelve hours of darkness from the very first day. That means I never decide when flowering begins. The plants do. Each phenotype follows its own internal clock, revealing its own pace and personality. It's one of the reasons this project has become such an incredible learning experience. Watching sister plants develop into completely different individuals under identical conditions never stops amazing me. 🌸 Week One of Flower This week marks what I consider Week One of Flower. The transition is now unmistakable. Fresh white pistils are emerging across every growing tip, quietly announcing that the plant has shifted her priorities from building stems and leaves to creating flowers. These tiny white hairs may seem insignificant today... …but they are the first chapter of every future cola. Every morning seems to bring another cluster of pistils, another little burst of growth, and another reminder of how quickly this stage evolves. It's one of my favourite moments in the entire cultivation cycle. The excitement is only just beginning. 🌿 A Structure Built for Success Now standing close to 96 cm, Pheno B has become one of the tallest ladies in the room. Rather than producing a dense, compact canopy, she's expressing a wonderfully open architecture. Long internodal spacing. Strong central stem. Healthy side branching. Excellent airflow. Instead of fighting her natural shape, I've simply allowed her to develop the way she wanted. No aggressive training. No heavy defoliation. Just a little leaf tucking here and there to improve light penetration while letting the plant write her own story. Sometimes the best thing a grower can do... ...is simply stay out of the plant's way. The result is an elegant framework where every future flowering site has room to breathe and access to plenty of light. 💧 Hand Watering — Every Plant, Every Decision Unlike some of her sisters growing on AutoPots, Pheno B continues to be hand-watered. There's something incredibly rewarding about this approach. Every watering becomes an opportunity to slow down. To observe. To inspect every leaf. To notice the smallest changes before they become problems. Rather than simply feeding the plant, hand watering encourages a closer relationship with her development. As flowering begins, the nutrition program continues its gradual transition toward bloom production. Bloom nutrients are now taking a larger role while enough nitrogen remains available to support the final stretch before the plant fully dedicates her energy to building flowers. Everything is progressing exactly as planned. 🌡️ Environment — Consistency Creates Confidence The room continues delivering stable conditions that allow every phenotype to perform at her best. Current averages include: • 🌡️ Day temperature: 29°C • 🌙 Night temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative humidity: 60% • ? Root zone: 21°C • 💦 Nutrient solution: 24°C • 🌿 CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Rather than chasing perfection every day, I focus on maintaining consistency. Healthy plants don't just grow because they're fed well. They thrive because they're never forced to constantly adapt to changing conditions. A stable environment allows the plant to spend her energy growing instead of recovering. 📸 This Week's Gallery This week's photographs capture a plant that's confidently stepping into her flowering journey. Full-length portraits highlight her elegant vertical structure and balanced branching. Close-up images showcase the first clusters of bright white pistils appearing across multiple flowering sites. Several photographs also reveal the open architecture that has naturally developed through gentle guidance rather than heavy intervention. Every branch seems eager to join the race toward becoming a future cola. Watching these subtle changes unfold week after week is one of the most rewarding parts of documenting this project. Sometimes a camera captures progress that our eyes almost miss from one day to the next. 🔮 Looking Ahead Over the coming week I expect the stretch to continue as flowering becomes fully established. More pistils will appear across every branch, while the first true bud clusters begin forming at each flowering site. Training will remain minimal. Only occasional leaf tucking will be carried out whenever necessary to improve light penetration and airflow. At this point, the goal isn't to reshape the plant. It's simply to support the structure she's already chosen for herself. If she continues growing with this same rhythm, I think she's going to produce a canopy filled with long, beautifully stacked colas. She's healthy. She's vigorous. And she's only just getting started. 💚 Thank You Thank you so much for following another chapter of this 8×8 Adventure. Every phenotype teaches something different, and that's exactly why documenting each one individually has become such a rewarding experience. A huge thank you to: 💚 GrowDiaries for providing an incredible platform where growers from around the world can learn, share their experiences, and inspire one another. 🌱 Zamnesia for supplying the outstanding genetics that make this phenotype hunt possible. ? Plagron for providing the nutrients supporting these ladies from seed to harvest. 💡 Future of Grow LED for delivering the light driving every stage of development. 🌿 TrolMaster for helping maintain the stable environment that allows every phenotype to express her full potential. And finally... Thank you to everyone reading these updates, leaving comments, asking questions, sharing knowledge, or simply following along. Your support makes this journey even more enjoyable. I'll see you all next week as Godfather OG Pheno B continues transforming graceful branches into what I hope will become a canopy full of beautiful flowers. Growers Love, and happy growing everyone! 🌱👑💚

So they all look good 👍 I was thinking i was getting to mush nitrogen in the plants thats in flower so I lowered the nutrients in today's feed for all of them that mite have been a mistake to play around with the nutrients I think from now on im just going to keep doing what im doing and thats full nutrients every two days they are takeing an extra litre of water now so 2 litres each every two days and im not getting mush run off at all they could take 3 litres if I wanted to but they seem very happy at the minute whit two buds are starting to get bigger I have added 2ml per liter of notorious bloom that looks to be doing a good job the ones thats not in flower are getting very big I think they are going to turn out very nice when they hit flower stage the small one is also growing fast now whit the full nutrients I gave it few days ago

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. What do you think? What do you prefer to do? Thanks for reading this far, leave me a comment with your preferred method 👊🇨🇦❤️

Compared to her sister, this Pineapple Express auto flowered very early! I LST'd her while I could, and defoliated what was necessary. She turned out great! Although the yield for this phenotype is at my lower limit for acceptable. I'm happy that I'm growing a second one, that vegged out longer, making for a much larger Pineapple Express!

9/1 Update: Welcome back to my garden! Thanks for following me on this 16 strain photoperiod SOG grow adventure! If you're just joining us. We have 18 photoperiod seedlings in the tent. 16 of them will go into 12"X12" square pots in a 4x4 sea of green. I plan to top once just above the third node. I will also allow the 2 shoots from the second node to grow with the top two to form 4 main colas. The Gorilla x Cookies sprouted 8/26! STILL nothing from Jenny Kush. Weak-sauce! The garden is happy and healthy! I am going to transplant this upcoming weekend into 6" x 6" square pots so they have room to stretch their legs and build a nice foundation before going into bloom. With Jenny seemingly out if the running, we have 17 seedlings and 2 of them are regular seeds. Hopefully at least one of the two will be female. I am going to say both will be little ladies! If we have an extra female she will veg a bit longer to go on the other side of the 4'x8' bloom tent. That's all I have to report today! Thanks for stopping by my garden! Please check out my other diaries & give me a follow! Happy growing my friends! ☺️🌱 Peace, ☮️ Love, 💚 and Frosty Nugs! ❄️🌲 - Fo' Twenny

7/7 17 days old. Calling this her first week of veg. She did not appear to be growing much for a few days after being transplanted. However in the last couple of days she has been putting on height. Now that she is growing again it seemed like a good time to top her. Topped her at the fifth node. A few of my previous grows I topped at the single leaves. This gave me two main branches that I just tied down. Then let all the branches grow up. Gave me a very uniform plant. 7/9 She has a very healthy dark green color. Her branches almost immediately started growing after being topped. I can see the difference in 2 days. Her nodes are very close together. 7/10. This lady has huge tits/leaves. Her leaves are so big they’re blocking out the light for the branches. I used some coat hanger to pull the leaves out of the way. Really her leaves are huge for her age. They’re almost the size of my hands and I’m 6,3. I pulled 1 leaf off to help open her up some. I will do some reading on this strain. I believe as she gets older she will look more sativa. Right now she looks heavy indica. 7/11 She broke ground 21 days ago. She graduated into veg 4 days ago. This plant is growing very nicely. 7/14 25 days old. Gave her water with liquid kelp. Her branches are quickly growing to the top. Would love to do some defoliation but I’m not. Other than a few 3 blade leaves in the center. Absolutely love her dark green color. So far the living soil is doing a great job. The company says just water. We will see. Ethos Genetics is top shelf. My friend grows mostly Ethos and these plants are just amazing. I was hunting for old school so I didn’t grow any Ethos until now. Old school is gone. I have never saw buds like these Ethos. This plant needs to come out close to or better than my friends. She is growing in organic living soil and her color is great. The only thing I added was myco supreme on her roots. The next time I water her she will get some liquid kelp and humic acid. The plant is relying on the living soil to eat. So I want to make sure her root system is very healthy and able to process nutrients.

Great news—my Banana Kush seed has popped and is standing tall! 🎉 Tiny cotyledons are already showing a healthy green, and I’m excited to watch this girl take off over the next few days. Here’s to a strong start! #BananaKush #Seedling #GrowDiaries **Day 5 – Seedling Update** Great news: all three Banana Kush seedlings are settling into veg! 🌱 The cotyledons look bright and healthy, and each plant has its first true leaf set. They did stretch a touch at the start, but the lowered light and steady airflow should help them thicken up fast. --- ### Environment * **Temp / RH:** 25 °C day – 21 °C night / **75 % RH** * **Light:** LED at 35 %, now **20 cm** above the canopy, 18/6 schedule * **Airflow:** Two fans have been running unfortunatley only since yesterday to keep fresh air moving and strengthen the stems * **Medium:** Light mix with extra perlite in 0.5 L peat pots on a seed-heat mat ### Watering & Feed * Still giving only **plain Gerolsteiner Naturell** (pH ≈ 6.2 out of the bottle) – no nutrients yet; runoff looks clean. ### Observations * Stems are a little lanky from the earlier light distance, but colour is good and the new growth looks happy. * Roots should start circling the peat pots soon; a gentle tug already shows light resistance. ### Next Moves 1. **Up-pot in 3–4 days** into 3 L Air-Pots and bury an extra couple of centimetres of stem to fix the stretch. 2. Keep RH around 70–75 % for another week, then start lowering to ~60 % as they bulk up. 3. Gradually ramp the light to 40–45 % once they’re settled in the new pots. So far, so sweet—here’s hoping for chunky Banana Kush colas down the road! 🍌✨

So were at the end of week one for flower and all the plants are looking great. Over the last week my pineapple kush and old school started growing a bit faster. I'm hoping that by the end of this week I'll be able to take them off the wooden box and still have my even canopy. Well see. Grandaddy Black- she's at 22" rite now and there is a lot of possible main Cole locations Runtz muffins- 22" and not as many as the Grandaddy Black but the plant looks very healthy Pineapple kush and Old School - both are at 17" only got FIMed a few times so they have no where near as many main Cole spots but look really healthy. All and all a good week with lots of growth Happy growing everyone.

Fast Buds LSD-25 Auto Right Rear All I can say is WOW! This was the smartest and slowest to start but has taken over the shower. It is full of buds that are filling in nicely. It has been the heaviest drinker. I have been having to give it extra water after each cycle of the drip watering system. The purple is almost black and I am looking forward to see what it turns out like, probably about 3 more weeks.

Tied her down as much as possible. Removed any leaves blocking any bud sites. I also removed most of the outside fan leaves for no other reason then they are getting too long, not keeping their hands to themselves. I added a video of the roots this week.

Hi all 🧑‍🌾 Welcome to my 🍌💜👊 week update. Hope everyone keeping well and having a good week. Thank you so much for your support on this bananas journey 💜💚💜💚 I am so happy to see how girls are developing in recent days. It's seems that Athena finally stopped her stretch and hoping that Xena will follow her sister very soon. Buds are gaining weight and size rapidly. Lots of nice colours and tonnes of trichomes on those buds already. Week 10 Dec 18-24 Dec 18-19 Mainly observation. Xena is still stretching like crazy. both girls are developing beautifully. Dec 20 First watering for this week. 7.5 ltr beetwen both. Runoffs PH's Athena 6.2 Xena 6.3. Dec 21 Due to lack of light at lower parts of conopy decided for another selective defoliation, lowered a bit tallest branches with colas dangerously close to light by tieing them to netting. Couple cm will make a huge difference here. Could not clear well at the back wall of the cabinet due to limited access.I'm very happy with final result. Dec 22-23 Joyful observation of my 🍌💜👊girls development 🧑‍🌾 Dec 24 All is looking great. It's seems that stretch is finally stopped. Girls looking healthy and happy. Second watering for this week. 8 ltr beetwen both. Both runoffs PH 6.2. It's the end of this week. Happy Xmas everyone 🤶🎄❄️🎁☃️✌️💚🌲🎅🎄 Stay tuned for new week update ✨🍀✨✌️💚
