A couple days from ripened nanners and they should start cumming all over the place. Will be saving this (what I believe to be) very special pollen and crossing with some of the lower bud sites on the slurricane that remains in the garden. Hey folks. Into week 16 (week 7 into flower) and the ladies are doing great! Again putting on some mass! Temps have been optimal hover around 12-25degs, night to day respectively. They are starting to stink up nice, lots of pine, kushy undertones and a hint of pepper! Sounds and smells insane. Its not loud yet but the aromas hanging out on the deck are amazing with a gentle breeze! They are packing on some serious mass and producing an amazing amount of resin. Pronto se agregará una malla scrog. 10 Diciembre: ya hay claros signos de floración, se colocó una primera capa de malla scrog, el riego Generativo va como se planeó, con pequeños runoff llegando a 7EC, esperando subir hasta 10EC, con ese estrés controlado se mantienen las plantas en una altura óptima evitando que estiren mucho. Hasta el día de ayer, las plantas estaban con 5 disparos(riegos) de 200ml cada uno aproximadamente, hasta obtener runoff, hoy sin embargo, habían 2 plantas con "wilting" lo que indica drybacks excesivos, por lo que hoy se agregaron 2 disparos extra, también llamados P1, y 2 mini riegos de 100 ML en la tarde, P2, para evitar el secado excesivo y el decaimiento de las plantas, las cuales están pidiendo más nutrientes. El VPD se mantiene en 1.2~1.4.

Ok so this week went very smoothly, these girls have had their first taste of LST and it went well this week but let me tell you I'm writing this 1 week behind and last 3 days lst wasn't as easy as it should be..... Anyway back to this week. They have had their first taste of nutrients and they loved it ... here's to hoping they carry on being so easy although due to my spoiler you know this isn't the case.... How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. 🌸 Week 7 – Gorilla Cookies Auto Pheno Hunt Another week has passed and flowering is now in full swing across all 6 phenos 👀🔥 The differences between the plants continue to grow, and it’s becoming easier to see which phenos have the potential to become real standouts by harvest time. 📈 Current observations: Pheno #1 and #6 have finally started to catch up and are now slowly building buds as well 🌸 Pheno #5 continues to dominate the tent and has stretched to an impressive 130 cm The flower development on Pheno #5 is especially promising, with some bud sites already suggesting the potential for 25 cm+ colas if everything continues as planned 🔥 Pheno #2 and #6 are being overshadowed by the larger phenos and are clearly falling behind in overall size and vigor The structural differences between the phenos are now more obvious than ever, with some focusing on height while others remain more compact and bushy 💡 Environment & setup: The grow has now reached its current limits in terms of space and lighting: Light fixture raised to its maximum height Light intensity increased to 80% Summer temperatures pushing the tent up to around 32°C ☀️ Relative humidity averaging around 67% Despite the higher temperatures, the plants are still pushing forward and stacking flowers nicely. Hi Gromie's, well it's the end of another problem free week! Week 9 going into week 10 of veg! I don't usually veg for this long but I'm just trying to get the timing right for perpetual harvest. Plants in flowering tent were harvested & drying now for 5 days, so these girls will be transferred to the flowering tent in the next few days for the start of flowering, I've allready planted new seeds for the following grow, so just trying to get on top of the timing for everything related with perpetual growing. Thinking of setting up a 4x2 tent with a 4 inch extraction fan & filter for drying, so I can cut out around a week, that way as soon as I've harvested & cleaned the tent I can transfer plants from veg instead of having to dry in the flowering tent. Have developed really strong & thick structure's from the H.S.T & L.S.T training. Plants are nice & healthy. Performed 1 last defoliation before they go to flower as they get very bushy quickly.

Hello, This beautifull threesome of ladies have been bend over this week. As new(2) lights are on there way, they need to be trained a bit so the space would fill up (3×3 or 90x90). Ive tried first to chiroprac 1 of them but it was still very flexible, so I took some rope and started bending. But I reflected first to now what I intend to reach. As a result, they really bended very far and ive opend up a hole new set of branches to grow better faster stronger. 🤖 Looking forward to the new grow pattern! Grow safe 🍀🍀🍀

Well the first seedling week is out of the way. Now to start my nutrients and transplant the Root Riot cubes into the net pots with Hydroton. I have 2 ladies that are keeping up with each other while I have one that seems to be a little behind, and then the 4th lady is for sure a runt of the liter but I will keep working with her and will make the best of her, who knows maybe she'll catchup some how. Next time I germinate I make make sure to put each seed in its own 16oz. Mason jar 2/3 full of water so each seed does not suffer because it can't soak up nutrients in the small amount of germ water that all seeds soak in. Every seed has plenty of micronutrients to start out with, without it fighting for it due to many seeds in the same jar soaking it up the same minerals.
