Eternity Grow Cup - Week 9 Veg Update We are stepping into Week 9 of vegetation, and things are getting exciting! The plants are thriving—compact, bushy, and growing beautifully. This week, we introduced a SCROG (Screen of Green) net, an essential tool for maximizing yield and optimizing plant structure. Let’s dive deep into the why and how of scrogging: Why Install a SCROG Net Now? Maximizes Light Exposure: The net allows even light distribution across all branches, ensuring every bud site gets the optimal amount of light. Controls Plant Height: By guiding the branches through the net, we keep the canopy even and prevent excessive vertical growth. Enhances Airflow & Reduces Mold Risks: Spreading the plant out increases air circulation, reducing humidity pockets and minimizing risks of mold and pests. Increases Yield: More bud sites exposed to light mean higher-quality flowers and greater overall production. For now, we’re still not using the under-canopy lights, though they will come into play soon. The ICL 300 is positioned strategically, and we will likely move them around as needed later. For now, the focus is on structuring the plants and ensuring they fill out the available space properly. Optimizing Airflow - The Vortex Effect Air circulation is crucial for plant health, and this week, we’ve optimized airflow by positioning the fans to create a vortex effect: Fan Positioning: Each fan is placed at the tent corners, pointing in different directions, ensuring dynamic airflow instead of direct wind hitting the plants. Benefits of a Vortex System: Reduces hot spots and evenly distributes CO₂. Strengthens stems by creating a natural resistance. Prevents stagnant air, reducing mold and pest risks. The extraction system is powered by an AeroFan, connected to the AeroFan Smart Remote FRC1, currently running at 60% speed. This setup efficiently manages humidity and temperature while maintaining optimal air exchange. Current Environmental Conditions & Feeding For now, we’re maintaining the same water schedule and nutrient regimen. The environmental conditions remain stable: Temperature: Holding steady at ideal growth levels. Relative Humidity: Balanced to encourage healthy transpiration. PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density): Kept at optimal levels to support vigorous vegetative growth. CO₂ Levels: Elevated but within safe limits, promoting faster growth. The plants are filling the space beautifully, but we know that the flip to flower is approaching soon! The girls started to pre-flower on the 6th of June. They all have a slight smell when you rub the leaves. Kosher cake, Strawberry banana and the Forbidden runtz have a sweet smell to them. The Forbidden runtz reminds me of the smell of skywalker OG which is totally LUSH..!! The blackberry has more of an deep earthy smell with a slight bit of fruitiness. Super excited for the next few weeks with these ladies. Happy toking my peeps 😁

So as you can see, she is building bud pretty quickly which I am happy about.. this plant has been very easy to grow and by looking at it, I don't even think i'm gonna need scissors to trim it lol ... this is gonna be a nice change of pace as far as that goes... The flowers begin to form and stretch the whole plant 👍. I actually wanted to remove the bottom shoots last week, but I won't do that until the next week. When i harvest it it looked very good in quality but it took some time to get dry so it maybe had a bad drying so thats why.

These have got so tall!! Some stress from the light as it’s only a small tent can’t get the light up any more I have moved up the fan and the light a little !

Sep 7: Gorilla Cookies is doing great. It’s the biggest of the four plants with the most uniform manifolding job, it’s also the furthest along in flowering and will be the first one to finish. Hopefully by later this month and that we get lots of sun to drive trichome production. Still doing the 730 nm far red light at dusk as a bloom booster, and I’ll keep doing that until the end. And don’t take flash pics of your buds unless you’re then immediately using a far red light to put them into dark mode. Sep 9: bit of defoliation of lower branches and buds to direct plant’s energy upward and to maintain good airflow especially down low. Used my last bit of Cal-Mag as a few leaves on each of the plants was starting to show a minor calcium deficiency. Sep 10: beautiful weekend is probably the best one all summer with nice sun, no smoke and perfect room temperature sort of weather. Sitting here a minor gust of wind blew her over. This the fifth time a plant has blown over lately but first time for this one. The 5 gallon bags are big enough for what I want but still easy to move around to maximize sunlight. A drawback is the small pot needs to be stabilized by filled buckets. Sep 12: these buds are forming quickly and she is ahead of the other three plants by at least a week. Raising odour level to normal which is probably pretty loud for other people who can still smell most things. The tops are starting to look white when viewed from a distance so that’s pretty cool.

Our beauty is now 3 weeks old and has grown to nearly 18 cm tall, continuing to develop strong and healthy. We’ve decided to enhance her nutrition by continuing to feed her with Xpert Nutrients fertilizers, which provide everything she needs for balanced growth. Additionally, we’ve started using CO2 to further stimulate active growth. The daytime temperature remains at 28°C, nighttime at 21°C, and the humidity is maintained at 65%. We are still keeping the light schedule at 12/12, closely monitoring how the plant responds to these conditions. Ok this was my first grow and I made mistakes. -forgot to buffer coco - nutrient burn -started the manlining to early - probably worried to much about every stage these plants. -ended up with fungus gnats And probably appt more I can’t rmeber in the moment. But i learned so much from all of my mistakes and spent so much time researching and seeing in real time how these plants react and grow. I did do some experimentation just a normal top with one blue dream. I topped twice one another blue dream and did a 3 times topped on all the blue dreams and I see why you should at least top three times the eight main colas and spread out the plant I see some of the buds on the one I only topped once not matured at all because there was minimal light other buds were growing so fat it suffocated it basically. I could have probably defoliated and manliness better but ayy. Beginners wil make Mistakes and I’m happy with what came out of these girls. Not excited for trim hail but I am at the same time 😅😅
