End of Run – Karels Herer Haze: The Final phase & Hash Project! 🌿✨ And last but not least, we turn our attention to the regular Karels Herer Haze (by SSSC)! We are cruising straight into the final week of this nice-to-have grow. Originally, this run was planned purely as a pollen-collection project. However, since the two plants ended up performing amazingly well in the system, we’re putting them to prime use: the main portion will be processed into top-tier Dry Ice Hash, and a few selected buds will of course be put aside for a direct test smoke! Current Parameters: Lighting (PPFD): Dialed down to a cozy 600 PPFD for a smooth finish. EC Level: Now sitting at a stable 1.2 and being gently tapered off. Status: We’ve entered the home stretch, trichomes are cloudy-to-amber, and this project is wrapping up nicely. A great bonus outcome for this run—let’s see what the dry ice hash yields at the end! On to the final round! 🚀?

Nov 29: They seem to be accelerating in veg growth but I see a small portion of the leaf on the smaller plant either grew in mutated or somthing cut it, I haven’t seen a single bug in the box so I don’t think it’s that but you never know, and the bigger plant has some issues near the base of its stem, I noticed it before I did the LST and now I’m wondering if I should have addressed that issue before starting the LST. Let me know what you guys think! Dec 2: Walked into the room and noticed a faint smell, wasn’t any smell last night when I started the LST on the slower girl. Further inspection showed some white pistols on the bigger girl, I believe she is the culprit for the smell as the other seems about a week behind. They are both now LST‘d and leaf tucked. Dec 6: I have tied down some of the longer chutes on the bigger plant (will see in week 5 update) to create more airflow and light penetration as I didn’t even realize how bushy the stem and node sections had gotten. I have also cut the chutes coming off the first true leaf. I don’t think I will make any cuts to the smaller one as it’s already a slower growing pheno. Going on a trip starting the end of week secede to late week 8, so I have a automatic feeder coming from Amazon, and I will continue using it through flower to reduce open tent time.

- A couple of branches have snapped due to LSTing. Newbie here, researched and found out branches that were not completely snapped could be saved - This led me to discover bending branches until they "kink" can actually be used as a type of LST - 5th seed ended up straightening out and grew normally. Happy I did not throw it out. Very resilient ******************************************************************************************************* First signs of flowering during this week

Electrical Conductivity refers to how easily a material or solution allows electrons or ions to flow continuously when an electrical potential is applied. Electrochemical Reactance is the opposition to alternating current (AC) caused specifically by the temporary storage of energy in electric or magnetic fields, rather than energy being lost as heat. Reactance does not directly alter a material's intrinsic electrical conductivity. Instead, it dictates how the system stores and releases energy over time, which creates a temporary barrier to current flow in AC circuits. Together with resistance, reactance makes up total impedance. Electrical impedance (the combination of resistance and reactance) in the rhizosphere dictates how easily ions and water move into plant roots, directly impacting the Electron Transport Rate (ETR). High impedance restricts ion mobility, leading to nutrient deficiencies that decrease ETR and stunt overall plant growth. Using copper and zinc plates in the plant medium to form a natural earth battery to assist with Electrochemical Reactance. The moist soil acts as an electrolyte, while zinc serves as the anode and copper as the cathode. Zinc is a highly reactive metal and oxidizes, losing electrons into the soil. These electrons travel through an external wire to the copper plate. The moisture and dissolved salts in your plant medium allow charged ions to move freely between the plates, completing the circuit and generating a small direct current (usually between 0.8 and 1.1 volts). This micro-current subtly alters/the Electrical Conductivity (EC), allowing more effective breaking apart of chemical bonds in the soil (electrolysis), making soil nutrients like phosphorus, calcium, and potassium more accessible to roots. Buried the zinc plate on one side of the plant’s root zone and the copper plate on the opposite side. Ran an insulated copper wire above ground to connect the zinc plate to the copper plate, creating a closed loop. Make sure your soil remains moist and contains natural mineral salts; entirely distilled water or bone-dry medium will prevent ion exchange and block the current. Not all minds think the same; it's a hard concept to grasp for one who has only ego. When someone operates solely from the ego, they tend to view their own perspective as the objective truth. To them, if someone else thinks differently, it is seen as a flaw, a lack of intelligence, or a personal affront, rather than simply a different, valid experience. The ego assumes that others are just extensions of itself. It cannot easily differentiate between "I think this" and "This is the universal truth". This is called the Mirror Fallacy. True understanding of another mind requires stepping out of oneself. The ego, by definition, is obsessed with self-preservation and being "right," which blocks empathy. Electrical Conductivity (The "How Well"): An intrinsic material property that measures how easily a material allows electrons (or other charge carriers) to move through it. Electron Flow (The Action): The actual physical movement of electrons from one molecule (donor) to another (acceptor) in a pathway, such as the photosynthetic electron transport chain or cellular respiration. The current itself (dynamic electricity). Electrical Conductivity (The Property): An intrinsic property of a material (like copper,glass,soil) that measures how easily it allows electric current (electron flow) to pass through it. A measure of ease. A high-conductivity material has low resistance and lets electrons move freely. Electron transport rate (ETR), the rate at which electrons travel through the chain. You can have Electron Flow occurring (electrons moving through the chain), but a very low Electron Transport Rate if the plant is in the shade. If light increases, the Electron Flow still follows the same path, but the Electron Transport Rate increases because more electrons are moving per second. In summary, ETR is a quantitative measure of electron flow. Think of "Electron Flow" as the movement itself, and "Electron Transport Rate" as the speed or quantity of that movement. Photosystem II (PSII) is a critical multi-subunit protein complex in thylakoid membranes that initiates photosynthetic light reactions by splitting water and transferring electrons. Week 2 of the flowering phase flew by 🌱💨. Unfortunately, I may have overdone it with potassium or kept the water level too high – the classic signs of clawing leaves were evident. Thankfully, they seem to be recovering now and are back under control 💪🍃. My IR night experiment is showing clear results 🌌: The plants exposed to infrared radiation at night stretched significantly more. This might be especially beneficial for this indica-dominant strain as it leads to better canopy distribution, improved airflow, and reduced risks of mold and disease. Plus, the light distribution is much more efficient now, which I’m excited to see pay off. On the downside, my Orange Sherbert turned hermaphroditic 😔. It’s hard to pinpoint the cause – overfertilization seems unlikely since I’m using only organic nutrients. I suspect it might be linked to an E-field experiment I’ve been running. To confirm this theory, I’ll conduct a new grow with a similar strain next year to see if the electric field negatively impacts cannabis development. Stay tuned for updates! Leider habe ich wohl etwas zu viel Kalium gegeben oder den Wasserstand zu hoch gehalten – die typischen Anzeichen von Adlerkrallen waren sichtbar. Zum Glück scheinen sich diese jetzt zurückzubilden und sind wieder unter Kontrolle 💪🍃. Mein IR-Nachtexperiment zeigt bereits deutliche Ergebnisse 🌌: Die Pflanzen, die nachts mit Infrarotstrahlung bestrahlt wurden, haben deutlich stärker gestretcht. Das ist besonders bei dieser indica-dominanten Sorte wahrscheinlich von Vorteil, da es zu einer besseren Verteilung des Blätterdachs führt. Dadurch verbessert sich die Luftzirkulation, das Risiko von Schimmel und Krankheiten wird minimiert, und die Lichtverteilung wird effizienter. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich das weiter auswirkt! Leider hat meine Orange Sherbert gezwittert 😔. Woran das genau liegt, kann ich schwer sagen. Eine Überdüngung halte ich für unwahrscheinlich, da ich nur biologischen Dünger verwendet habe. Ich vermute, dass mein E-Feld-Experiment eine Rolle spielt. Um das zu bestätigen, werde ich nächstes Jahr einen neuen Durchlauf mit einer ähnlichen Sorte machen und prüfen, ob das elektrische Feld tatsächlich eine ungünstige Rückentwicklung der Pflanze verursacht. Getting solid and developing a lot of orange pistils and the tricomes are lookings super frosty. About 2 weeks left then out to the moon we go!!! Hope its a good grade (quality high), I decided to make Velevet because the flowers looked beautiful to not try out. This will be the last feed then flushed for the next feed. Going to drench it until it reaches a desirable ppm level in the soil. That would make it start eating itself sucking out all the nutrients providing a smooth smoke and a great after taste. When you dont flush you get a better taste and why would you want to smoke nutrients? Gotta make the leave turn yellow then you know its good. This is almost the end and thankfully its been going good so far, see you soon!!!

The final days. Tomorrow IS harvest time. Both plants faded black/purple in the end with nice buds end lot of trichomes. They will be hang drying now for 10 days and then another 10 days curing with vivi-cure Packs.

Today, on day 36, the plants have noticeably grown, with heights now ranging from approximately 45–55 cm. We increased the nutrient concentration to 650 ppm, maintaining daytime room temperature at 26°C and nighttime at 22°C, CO2 concentration at around 600 ppm, and humidity at 65%. The light schedule is 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness, with a PPFD of 600. We raised the nutrient concentration by 100 ppm, increased the light intensity by 100 PPFD, and lowered the humidity to 65%. The plants have grown significantly, primarily stretching upward with their main colas and side branches. Visually, there are no signs of nutrient deficiencies or toxicities; the plants are absorbing their 650 ppm well, with no salt buildup or burn.

So here we go in week 7 of 12/12. I'm currently having issues with my pH meter, or maybe my tank is just way to high on pH. It shows around 10.0 and that's not good so I truly hope it''s just a fault of the meter. I'm getting delivered new one today so I'm immediately gonna retest everything and give them looooong flush with correct pH and EC. EC shouldn't be too high and girls are very brave so far, I haven't really noticed any signs of nut burns or pH burns. Let's hope it's not gonna go wrong until new meter arrives, Other than that smell is pretty strong, I'd say maybe too strong even for me and I usually don't mind the aroma at all :) Together with new pH meter I'm getting new HPS bulb (the old one has already done 3 grows over 3 years), and dehumidifier, because I have had some issues with mould during my previous grows. I'd say 3 more weeks of feeding and 2 weeks of flush and we should be done. I wish I switched earlier because 2 plants can't really fit there and I accidentally snapped 2 main branches so I definitely want to avoid this next grow. Thanks for checking.

Today is the last day, tomorrow i will harvest her. I removed all large fanleaves and took some pre-harvest pictures. 23-2 Today is harvest day! I left the buds on the branches and hang them to dry. Temperature: 18.1°c to 19.9°c Humidity: 57% to 72% 24-2 Temperature: 17°c to 18.8°c Humidity: 56% to 64% 25-2 Temperature: 16.8°c to 17.9°c Humidity: 57% to 69% 26-2 Temperature: 16.2°c to 18.1°c Humidity: 56% to 61% 27-2 Temperature: 16.2°c to 17.5°c Humidity: 55% to 61% 28-2 Temperature: 16.3°c to 17.6°c Humidity: 57% to 64% 29-2 No info. 1-3 Temperature: 17.8°c to 18.7°c Humidity: 56% to 61% 2-3 No info. 3-3 Temperature: 16.5°c to 20.3°c Humidity: 46% to 62% After 8/9 days of drying the buds are dry enough, so lets start trimming! The buds are pretty airy and foxtaily, but very resinous, she smells good, but i think the buds are a bit overdried. End results: Trim: 18.12 Gram. Popcorn buds: 37,11 Gram. Normal Buds: 70,98 Gram. Total buds: 108,09 Grams. I will post the progress of me making bubble hash in this diary very soon, so if you are interested make sure to keep an eye out!

Week 23 - kitty says hi! This lady is getting out of control. We're 4 weeks from harvesting. Autumn gets very wet and last year I had bud rot, so end of october is the last day. I really need to defoliate to give those buds all the sun they can get.

I have grow 3 plants . number one 5 gallon smart pot. number two in a 3 gallon smart pot .and number three in a 5 gallon smart pot part of the difference between number two is because of limited space to grow big root system to support a bigger plant. They have been a very enjoyable plant to grow with an incredibly powerful smell impossible to grow stealth unless you have a good carbon filter can wait two post weight for each plant and to have a test smoke I Will Wait approximately between 7 to 14 days until the main stem snaps and a crunchy sound tell me they're ready then I check for dry weight and them jar them for curing. Day 9 off drawing and I pull out a branch to have a smoke test it is incredibly potent and a wonderful smoke despite not being cure it's very smooth but they're not ready for me to jar them I don't like to deal with mold or being opening the jars every few hours that's why I dry it thoroughly and use humidity packs so I don't have to deal with issues after weight and them jar them for curing. This are the weight plant number one 156. 36 grams and number two 76. 88 grams plant #3 72.12 grams. Already had a smoke tester this stuff its a couchlock beautiful lovely smoke come by a powerful High I recommend this train to anybody who can accommodate for the strong odour. lovely strain I want to try this one again it is like I citric skunk smell very pleasant and Powerful. I was very surprised how heavy and thick the buds were in the small plant compared to the others what an incredible nice plant to grow. thank you for reading I will continue to update have a happy grow

So wee update at the end of week 9 Haven't had any more issues since upping the nuts a bit on cal mag Have found a few bugs in the soil hopefully the sign of a good soil system :) the plants seem to be swelling fine in the last few weeks here think I may try to push them till about 75 days or so. It I guess the plants will let me know Tested 1 run of and coming out at 7.3 so bit high but everything on new/old leaves seem have ( apart from the issue I had before ) I've added a video of the bugs if people want to try to identify them for me? Just for fun or incase they can cause any issues lol
