Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Semana 4, todo muy bien, Juana la mas grande me impresiona.. es hermosa! En cambio Gina, sigue creciendo con otro ritmo, pero de igual manera esta desarrollando todo su follaje.

Cultivation was very easy in terms of vegetation and up to half of flowering, where I encountered difficulties and ended up postponing their harvest. drying Purple presented 220g wet and 39g dry. I can smell a fruity scent on it and I see a lot of resin. I'm happy with the result but I still want a 50g plant.

This week has been great it hasn't quite been a week since my last update, but the plant is growing strong. I'm going to have to transplant it before long lol. There is some basil growing with it I didnt think would. I started some in a pot with Pete and never seen the seeds but apparently they were there!

05/31/2024 : flowering week 8, almost done but BB isn't full yellow yet and there are still too much clear TC on flowers. I may harvest main colas at the end of this week and let the rest for another week... or cut everything and make some bubble hash with lower parts. Anyway, it smells very good now! 😁 06/03/2024 : as top buds were foxtailing, I cut everything that turned purple and got almost 240g wet material (now in dryer for about a week). I reset LED to 30cm from new flat canopy, with DLI 36~45. There are still a lot of buds to come!😍

Topped all 9 plants this week and they are responding well. Don’t mind my re-veg it looks funky right now

Aktuell bessert sich das Wetter und die Luftfeuchte geht runter. Ich gieße nur noch mit Wasser, die Blätter sind noch sehr dunkelgrün vom Dünger. Es passiert nicht viel, gieße weiterhin 3-4l alle 3-4 Tage. Geruch ist kaum zuvermerken. Bin noch nicht wirklich von der Sorte überzeugt in Sachen anbauen. Fühlt sich an wie white label Wundertüte Genetik an.

Bonjour a tous les padawans et les maîtres jedis Pour cette semaine 4 je surveille comme à mon habitude hygrométrie et arrosage. Je peaufine mon LST en stressant ma plante le moins possible. Je combine mon LST avec un pincage d'Apex cela me permettra d'avoir une canopé plus homogène donc une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et par conséquent un meilleur rendement. Petit rappel sur le pincage d'Apex: Le pinçage des plantes de cannabis Proche de la taille d’apex sur le principe, cette technique possède cependant plusieurs avantages, le principal étant de conserver le gros bud central de la plante, d’une production et qualité maximale. Pinçage des plantes de cannabis Le pinçage d’apex (tête de la plante) consiste simplement à pincer délicatement la tige du dernier étage de la plante, entre le pouce et l’index, jusqu’à sentir la fibre s’écraser sous les doigts avec un petit bruit critch caractéristique. Si l’espace disponible sur la tige du dernier étage ne permet pas d’y placer confortablement ses doigts, il faudra plutôt pincer l’étage du dessous. Le pinçage ralentira fortement la croissance verticale de la plante, tout en stimulant le développement des branches secondaires, donnant ainsi à la plante une forme de buisson. La plante mettra quelques jours à réparer ce pinçage, formant un nœud à cet endroit, et poursuivra ensuite sa croissance de façon normale. Le pinçage peut alors être répété si nécessaire, sur l’étage suivant nouvellement formé, ainsi que sur les éventuelles branches secondaires qui pourraient dépasser l’apex. Le pinçage est donc une excellente technique pour avoir une belle canopée uniforme de type marée verte. En pinçant régulièrement l’apex des plus grandes plantes de votre espace, durant la croissance et en début de floraison (stretch), vous obtiendrez ainsi facilement des plantes de hauteur homogène en pleine floraison, ce qui facilitera la culture et augmentera la production finale, surtout si vous cultivez simultanément de multiples variétés de marijuana. Avec un peu d’habitude le pinçage pourra être réalisé aussi rapidement qu’efficacement. En cas de pinçage trop violent qui se traduirait par un apex arraché, cela produira simplement les mêmes résultats qu’une taille classique de l’apex, ce qui ne sera donc pas dramatique. Trouble in Paradise! Both experiencing all kinds of trouble. BUT theyre growing and swelling! I put the blame solely on me, i overwatered in the early weeks and really havent had much time to take care of them in time. Also started flowering nutes way too late. Im happy with both of their forms though! small and bushy, thats how i like them. Sad that the deficiencies had to happen, but oh well, theyre gonna pull through i hope! i downed water to 2L from 2.5L just because it takes really low for them to dry out in between and i wanna get fresh batches of nutes in more often. 2L is also enough to get a tiny bit of runoff so no dry spots or anything. Will see how they like it! due to deficiencies, i skipped giving them 2ml/L of bloom and went straight to 3, also added a good dose of calmag. Didnt defoliate besides really effed-up leaves. The Black Runtz scared me to death because one didn't germinate, a big insult for a stubborn person like me. Two days of fear but we already have two plants and maybe a third is on the way. That's why they're still in the biodegradable pot but we're only talking about a few days late, no problem. They're cute and in great shape. For now I've put in fertilizer to root and special enzymes that transform the residues of previous plants into nourishment....perfect I'd say to renew the soil as best as possible. Never stop at the first good results guys, always improve and it's fuel for the next day, to keep the passion alive and have results. Growing Projects -----In this case we were a little late and I planted two plants together. Giving up Main Cola is always a big sacrifice. To avoid depression and to give a better vision to our super trusted breeder, home breeder and Zamnesia heart breeder we make a plant in topping x16 and a straight one preserving the main cola. The first week went only with Power Roots 1 Ml/l and Pure Zym 1ml/l from now on we start with ALga Grow. The plants were transplanted shortly after germination because the biodegradable pots were very small. The soil is Plagron Pro Mix 100% organic renewed with 30% new soil and 20% Perlite added. (Pro mix don't have perlite but is airy we added anyway) Plagron fertilizers are available on Zamnesia in convenient Pack formats for all growing styles.
