Hello Diary. We have reached the end of the journey.🙌 Fat Banana exceeded my expectations in every way. Smell, taste, yield. In the end I got a little less than 70g of dried flowers which is above average for my farm. 💪 Here's how it all went since the last call. 28/11/2020 - Day 65. Harvest. I checked with a microscope and most of the trichomes are milky and about 5% have turned brown. Everything is ready. After the last photo shoot, I cut the plant at the very bottom of the stalk. Before that, I prepared a handmade cardboard box in which I would put the branches to dry for a minimum of 10 days. After hanging the branches in the box, I put the box back in the grow box, between Haze Berry who had further extended their stay at the Farm. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 38% humidity. 10/12/2020 - Day 77. After 12 days of drying, I took the dry branches out of the box and pruned the rest of the dry leaves. I put the dried flowers in jars, put in moisture fighters for better moisture regulation and for better curing. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.5 degrees and 39% humidity. 20/12/2020 - Day 87. Tasting. Great smoke, fruity tropical flavor. A brief overview of the whole story. Fat Banana Auto (Royal Queen Sees) - 18/09/2020 - Sprouted - 28/11/2020 - Harvest - Total 72 days. Three weeks of vegetation and six weeks of flowering. I did a small defoliation twice. A total of 68 g of yield. The best strain so far on my Farm. Finally, I would like to thank James from the Royal Queen Seeds, for his support, seeds and nutrients. Was out of town all week and came back to find the CBD Star in my space bucket not looking good. It looks like a phosphorus deficiency but not entirely sure. Yellow leaves with brown/black spots and dark red/purple stems. I flushed it with 2 gallons 6.5 pH water, re-fertilized, put it out in the sun and defoliated. I defoliated pretty heavily since many of the fan leaves were yellowed and blocking light from the lower bud sites. The center was also getting pretty dense so I carefully removed some of the leaves to help with airflow. Despite the stress, It seems to have bounced back reasonably well. There’s probably irreparable damage given the level of yellowing but the buds continue to grow and thicken. Cheese has absolutely exploded and looks great. It probably doubled in height last week with many bud sites on the 5 main stalks. Excited to see how it turns out.

Moved the grow to the basement which caused my plants to have to readjust to the new environmental norm. It's quite a bit colder down there so I used a flood light to bring up the heat outside of the tent and had a few days of 24 hour light cycle to warm up the tent's interior environment. Once the air and reservoir warmed up enough, the plants started happily eating and showing me how much they love their new home. ✌️❤️🏡

I was hoping to harvest this weekend as the days are getting colder. The trichomes arent't quite ready. So, I'm going to have to hold out another week. My garage is not heated. So, I have to plan my grows around the local weather despite growing in a tent. The Afghani has turned purple on the leaves that see the most light. Likely due to the drop in temperature at night. I have stopped feeding the plants. The EC has remained unchanged for the last week. There is no point in wasting nutrients if the plant won't eat.

These were taken on day 59 I was a little late to put gettin them up. I've been doing some heavy flushes on some of them cuz the run off ppm was a little high. I mixed these with soil so I dont know if that's why it's not coming down as quick as usual but I'll keep poundin these ladies hard as a muthafucka

The transition from veg to flower is a magical time, and our plants are already showing signs of their future glory. Let’s dive into the exciting details of this week! Entering the Flower Stage Our P.C.R.s have officially entered the flowering stage, and the transformation is already visible. The stretch has begun, and you can see the plants reaching up, preparing to produce those beautiful buds we’re all waiting for. This stage is all about supporting their growth and ensuring they have everything they need to thrive. NutriSpray Magic This week, we’ve been diligently spraying Aptus Holland NutriSpray, and the results are phenomenal. NutriSpray is like a spa treatment for our plants, providing essential micronutrients directly to the leaves. It helps with nutrient uptake, reduces stress, and boosts overall plant health. Our P.C.R.s are absolutely loving it, standing tall and proud with their leaves praying to the light. Nutrient Transition With the start of the flowering stage, we’ve made some important adjustments to our nutrient regimen. We’ve stopped using StartBooster and replaced it with TopBooster, which promotes flowering and bud formation. Alright boy-o!!! let's flip the script and do some growing, put what I can out here and see what we get. One thing is for sure... Screw 12/12 from seed its not useful for me and I'm tired of the waste. Oh, and ApPAreNtLy if you don't prove grow skills as a new grower, people get butt hurt and it only goes downhill from there... so here we go this tents about to get full. Cheers! Thank you @marshydroeleen for the light and let's see what this light can do. That said, Let's talk set up. My 3x3 is powered by the MarsHydro TS1000 and is being cooled via air recirculation. This is achieved with my 4" ipower inline fan. Humidity isn't an issue for me by nature of climate. My tent temperatures are easily controlled simply by stopping air recirculation. It is dried out simply by restarting the fan. This is in pat due to running the driver external of the tent to provide a few degrees less in the tent. Humidity is increased by stoppage and this also increases the Temps very slightly until at about 78f. Now all of this would normally be a chore to keep track of, however my yardsale score ($80) included a Titan Controls Saturn 6 with the photocell addition makes this as easy as plugging it in. Now, if that score wasn't sweet enough it also included the co2 tank and valve to boot. This is currently set up and plumbed in the top of the tent. This won't be plugged in and operating until the first week of flower. Until then it's ready to go. I filled my sub irrigated 3.5gal planters with SUNSHINE company mix#4 with mycorrhizae and watered with 1/3gal of water from the tap. The transplant went smoothly and we will start watching this lady turn things back around. This will be a good show of what the strain has to offer. After a good thorough cleaning the tent is set and the ladies are in. There will be new ladies joining the tent in a few weeks but for now these ladies return to veg in peace. I hope to turn this nightmare of a run into a sponsorship worthy run.
