End of Week 16 (9th week of flower) Final week of flower. Turned the lights wattage down at the end of this week to 400W to mimmic the sun moving further away from the earth during Autumn and Winter seasons. This also creates an overall cooler temperature signalling to the ladies that the end is in sight. This also protects the trichomes and ensures they don't get damaged and also dropped the The ladies are fading more and more into their vibrant autumn shades. With hues of pink and purple that makes me so excited! Feeding just PH correct water until harvest, which is around the corner. We are currently on day 63 of flower and checked the trichomes - just a few specs of amber and the cloudy trichomes are more prominent although there are still some clear ones. We will push to harvest within the next couple of days, around day 67-69 Pest Report: None Smell Report: Staaaaanky!

Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. Auto Malawi × Northern Lights – Woche 8 Die Malawi hat diese Woche tatsächlich nochmal etwas zugelegt. Nachdem sie zwischendurch eher so aussah, als hätte sie beschlossen, den Grow persönlich zu boykottieren, werden die Colas langsam dicker. 😅 Vor allem im Vergleich zur letzten Woche ist sichtbar mehr Blütenmasse vorhanden. Wirklich kompakt werden die Buds allerdings nicht – die Struktur bleibt ziemlich luftig und fluffig. Dafür hat sie mehrere schöne längliche Colas aufgebaut und mittlerweile auch eine ordentliche Schicht Harz angesetzt. Optisch geht sie inzwischen deutlich in Richtung Herbst. Die großen Fächerblätter werden immer heller und gelber, teilweise kommen rötliche und violette Töne dazu. Die Zuckerblätter und Blüten sehen dagegen noch wesentlich besser aus. Nach den Problemen der vergangenen Wochen scheint sie jetzt einfach alles, was noch da ist, in die Blüten zu stecken. Viele Pistillen sind inzwischen orange/braun geworden und haben sich zurückgezogen, an einigen Stellen kommen aber weiterhin frische helle nach. Sie ist also definitiv weit fortgeschritten, aber fertig sieht sie für mich noch nicht aus. Unterm Strich: Diese Woche endlich sichtbar dickere Buds – nur eben Malawi-typisch eher fluffig als steinhart. 😁

She's starting to chunk up a bit and sugar leaves are appearing! New growth is not showing the deficiency as some of the older leaves did which I'm very happy about! Thanks to the community for the helpful hints! Took of some of fan leaves that were blocking light from the lower bud sites and a few lower ones that were blocking airflow/not getting any light. I also switched over to CaliMAGic.

Week 7 Oct 26 - strong growth this week. They grew from 18.5" to 28" last week. I' m letting them grow into the light and today the middle plant is at 18" from the light. started adding there flowering nutes this week. I started using Terpinator last grow (in photo -used on chem dog left, not used on right on chem dog from previous grow grow). it really seems to work

She bushed out a bit more then i expected, she did very well

Opened the tent this morning to be hit in the face with some strong dank smelling bud, it's moreso the plant that's a week or two behind at the back The purple plant tho has a mundane flowery smell rather than a gassy one. Added some explode and A+B bloom (dutch pro) this will be last and only feeding of nutes as I feel like big purps will be ready for the flush in a week or two after that feeding. Asides from that everything is stacking up nicely, little to no deficiencies thankfully ( growing in compost) my first run was in Coco and that was a nightmare checking and regulating EC and ppm every feeding. I'm glad I moved from the Coco as it's just a pain in the ass.

It’s hard to believe this amnesia haze is only in week two of flower! She is kicking butt and LOVING the HLG 550v2 as are her neighbors. I got a little stretch out of her but it appears that’s about it. The colas look like they’ll be about 8-10”. I moved the light down for a day and gave them 85,000 lux and while they are still reaching I don’t think they liked it as much as 65k so I brought it back up. I did take a few of her pie plate sized leaves of just to let a little extra light to the lower sites as well. Thanks for looking and happy growing!

I started the trim after 8-9 days. Aggressive drying for two days on 45%RH and 20°C and then 50 to 55%RH for 5 days. Its already a really good smoke within 2 weeks and i'm excited for more nuances while it cures. Overall its was a good experience for mainlining.

Coming close to her pollination schedule ...This girl is really taking a log time to flower. I cat wait to see those pistils.

(Log date week 7, day 49) So this week was a mixed bag, Tuesday started off with me finding a spider web on one of the lower fan leaves on my Hulkberry plant and noticed some bite marks on some of Fat Banana. In my haste to give rid of the spider mites, i caused some minor wind damage to some of the fan leaves on Hulkberry which caused some copper spotting and a stunted Fat banana cola. After i correctly treated both plants for spider mites and wind damage, they both bounced back and started to recover quite nicely. I also noticed a difference between topping these plants at different times; i topped fat banana when it had 4 cola's but i waited until hulkberry's roots reached to the bottom of my 5gal bucket and she had 8 cola's. A BIG difference in their recovery and overall structure, where fat banana jump out the gate with explosive veg growth and hulkberry struggled for two weeks just to develop it's first set of fan leaves. To now whereas hulkberry is much bigger, greener and bushier than fat banana. Hulkberry has responded much better to the additional stress whereas fat banana has struggled or stalled due to the stressful conditions. All in all wasn't too bad of a week, except for the power going out for a couple of hours on Saturday which raised my grow-room temperature to 90f, i was able to put out a couple of fires this week without any adverse long term effects. I also topped hulkberry on the last day of the week and I'm going to continue to feed them Technfloa at the full recommended strength since they have both responded very well to last week's formula. as always my pic are in chronological order Mr. O.G.T
