Woche 5 – Struktur beginnt Die Laughing Buddha wurde diese Woche getoppt und geht jetzt in die nächste Phase. Das Topping fällt bei mir immer sehr mini aus um der Pflanze nicht mehr Stress zuzumuten. Außerdem gab’s ein leichtes Topdressing mit Bio Grow (1 g/L), um sie für das kommende Wachstum zu pushen. Die kleine Lampe wurde durch die Spider Farmer SF1000D ersetzt – jetzt gibt’s deutlich mehr Power von oben. Jetzt heißt es: erholen, verzweigen und Struktur aufbauen

Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! This marks the start of a new chapter, and I’m incredibly curious to see how the plants react to these changes. Here’s the current nutrient mix: • System Clean: 0.5 ml/L • Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • RO Water Conditioner: 0.8 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid: 2.1 ml/L I’m keeping the pH at 6.1 and TDS at 556 ppm, and so far, the plants are thriving. This week also included a thorough system clean, ensuring everything runs smoothly as we enter the final flowering stages. 🌿 Bud Development: Pure Magic! The bud formation across all the genetics is nothing short of incredible. Every plant is thriving, and the canopy is lush, vibrant, and full of potential. I’ve raised the PPFD to 750 for this stage, with temps steady at 25°C and RH at 63%—keeping the VPD dialed in at 1.11. 🌱 Day 57 - Start of the Second-to-Last Flowering Week 🌱 Hello, Grow Friends! Today marks the start of the second-to-last flowering week—Week 9 overall, and Week 5 of flowering. 🌿 I’m getting more and more excited as my first grow nears its end. As I approach harvest, I’ve decided, based on my research, to stop feeding nutrients and stick to just pH-adjusted water for the final two weeks. 💧⚖️ Watering Routine: I’ll keep the same watering schedule—1 liter every two days, which is about 10% of the pot volume. 🌱💧 This should be enough to flush out the remaining nutrients, ensuring a clean finish for the plant. Temperature & Humidity: The temperature remains stable between 19-23°C, which I believe is ideal for this stage of the grow. 🌡️🍂 No more high temperatures to worry about! The humidity is fluctuating between 45-58%, and I’m keeping a close eye on it to stay below 60%. 💧🔍 Everything seems on track for now. 🌿 Plant Health & Growth: The plant still looks very healthy overall. 🌱💪 However, I’ve noticed that in the past three days, there haven’t been any visible changes in the size of the buds. 🤔 It could just be that I’m not seeing the growth clearly, but the only noticeable change is the daily opening of new flower calyxes. 🌸 Harvest Preparation: I’m already getting my equipment ready for drying after harvest. 🛠️ Once it’s time to cut, I’ll be hanging the plant to dry for the first 10 days. 🌿✂️ I want to make sure everything is set for a smooth drying process. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, daily photos of the plant will be posted! 📸🌱 Day 62 - Last-Minute Decisions with Urgent Changes 🌱 Hello, my grow friends! Due to the trichome pictures I took on Day 61—which you can check out too—I’ve made an unexpected decision to harvest my plant a bit earlier than planned and make some changes. 🌿 Watering and Flushing: The last time I watered was on Day 61, using all the usual nutrients at the doses I mentioned before. But after seeing the trichome pictures, I decided to start a light flush today. I gave the plant 4 liters of plain water to begin flushing and will now only water lightly on Day 64. After that, no more water until harvest on Day 67. 🌑 Dark Period: From Day 66 to Day 67, I plan to keep the plant in darkness. I’m not entirely sure if this will make a difference, but I’m curious to try it out. ✂️ Defoliation: The plant is doing well, and I’ve done a thorough defoliation. I removed all leaves that aren’t sugar leaves or directly attached to the buds to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of mold as I approach the end of the grow. 💭 Trimming Decisions: I’m still undecided about whether to do a wet trim or a dry trim. Based on what I’ve read, especially regarding the yield from trim, I’m leaning towards dry trimming, as it might give me more usable trim material. I can feel the plant entering its final phase, and I’m getting really excited about the results and what the next few days will bring. Remember, I post a video update every day. Day 80, 2nd of December 2020: Hi there! Ladies are cool everything is alright. In one week buds strated doubeling and the developement is dope haha. The 2 Zamnesia ladies are pretty Gelato is so nice bushy and the smell is great as well. Kalini Asia will be a green pheno I think and she my be hermied a bit on me.... I am still waiting to see I see some strange develepement lets say. Sweet Seeds girls are dope unfortunately Red Mandarine and Tropicanns poison don't show any sign of colouting yet but it is okay even if they green phenos.... It may happen in the end of the flowering cycle let's see. Basically that's all I wanted to share. Oh yes... this one: All good the lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Fertilization has changed no more epsom salt from this week and I will stop giving nitrogen as well from next week. Great job Sweet Seeds and Zamnesia! Nice genetics :) Lovely plants!

Nach dem erfolgreichen Topping in der Vorwoche hat die GMO Rootbeer ohne Pause weitergemacht. Da keinerlei Stressanzeichen sichtbar waren, wurde das LST direkt fortgesetzt. Die jungen Spitzen und Seitentriebe ließen sich problemlos weiter in Position bringen, sodass die Pflanze zunehmend eine breite, offene Form annimmt – perfekt für gleichmäßige Lichtverteilung und kräftigen späteren Blütenansatz. Parallel dazu gab es regelmäßige, sanfte Entlaubung. Nur große Fächerblätter, die Licht blockierten oder das LST behinderten, wurden entfernt. Die Pflanze hat auf diese Maßnahmen durchgehend positiv reagiert: keine Hänger, keine hellen Blätter, kein Wachstumsstillstand. Im Gegenteil – sie wirkt extrem vital, treibt schnell nach und zeigt eine kompakte, kräftige Struktur. Ein wichtiger Fokus dieser Woche lag auf der Umgebung: stabile Temperaturen, kontrollierte Luftfeuchtigkeit und keine extremen Schwankungen. Auch die Lichtstärke wurde eng überwacht, um jeglichen Stress oder Bleaching zu vermeiden. Die GMO Rootbeer scheint die Bedingungen optimal aufzunehmen; die Blätter stehen zu jeder Tageszeit sauber nach oben und zeigen dieses typische „Happy-Plant“-Bild. Die Gesamtstruktur ist jetzt breit, flach und sehr gleichmäßig. Genau das, was man vor dem Übergang in die Stretch-Phase erreichen möchte. Sie baut derzeit eine perfekte Grundlage für mehrere gleich starke Tops auf. Woche 5 war insgesamt sehr clean, sehr kontrolliert und extrem effizient – alle Trainingsschritte sitzen, und die Pflanze macht voll mit.

I do not delete my teas and let the plant pots dry out slightly before feeding.

A little late to this party. Day 49 the flowers entered stretching which I then switched over from fert-I-lome 5-1-1 to Neptune Rose and Flower.

Week ten for Candy House. This girl is not the biggest one, but she is a real beauty! Did cut some branches and leafs this week, now she has to do her thing and really looking forward to the next weeks with her :)

63 days of flowering have passed, according to various colleagues they are 1/2 weeks behind on the swelling. But to me they look squat enough to pick up. Quite evident smell of sweet Hashy. Fed lightly with Bio Bloom but it was more of a rinse. 2.22l per day for 6 days, including 2 days put 1 drop of Bio Bloom in the irrigation

Sky steht jetzt da wie jemand, der gerade einen radikalen Frühjahrsputz hinter sich hat: weniger Arme, dafür deutlich mehr Ausstrahlung. Man sieht sofort: Hier mussten Triebe gehen. Viele sogar. Platzmangel, Luftzirkulation, Vernunft, die klassische Grower-Entscheidung zwischen Herz und Schere. Ergebnis: ein deutlich aufgeräumtes Gerüst mit Fokus auf die Top-Triebe, die jetzt alle schön im Licht stehen wie VIPs auf der Gästeliste. Und die Buds? Die haben in Woche 4 endgültig beschlossen, keine Theorie mehr zu sein. Die Colas strecken sich nach oben, dicht besetzt mit weißen Stempeln, die mittlerweile nicht mehr „Hallo“ sagen, sondern „Bleib noch ein paar Wochen“. Die Buds sind klar länger geworden, beginnen sich übereinander zu stapeln und wirken jetzt richtig säulenartig. Keine Kugeln mehr, das sind jetzt ernstzunehmende Blütenstände. Harzproduktion ist sichtbar angezogen: ein feiner, gleichmäßiger Frost legt sich über die Zuckerblätter. Noch kein Zuckerschock, aber eindeutig der Moment, in dem man nach dem Anfassen der Pflanze unauffällig an den Fingern riecht. Die unteren Bereiche sind deutlich luftiger, man merkt, dass die Energie jetzt konsequent nach oben geht. Genau so, wie man es in Woche 4 sehen will: weniger Drama unten, mehr Geschäft oben.
