Week begins 8/12 LAST FEED 2 gallons 8/12 AFTER A RAINING NIGHT. 8/13 I've found what appears to be septoria on a couple plants. Looks like the weather will be OK tonight so I can apply organocide or something similar before dark. I've seen random pillar damage so this will be a two-for. I also should move the middle plant back and utilize my space more. Ph seems on point around 7.3. Higher in some places of the soil. I've noticed what looks like root issues on my blueberry. Winds were horrible yesterday and this plant doesnt hace a vertical trellis for support. Stem was pretty wobbly for a while but the plant seems to be growing fine. Either that or a jpn beetle munched the top of a bud. That's probably what happened. It was in the low 50's this morning. That's a 40 degree temperature swing in just a few days. This grow season has been the most challenging I've faced. Of course it had to happen when personal, family, and health concerns rear their head. Oh well. I can only do my best. 8/14 Went over at 5am to apply organocide to treat WPM or septoria as well as insecticide for pillars. I got there and one of my healthiest plants had been turning a little lime green now it was drooped over just like the larger GDP. This one is a 9lb kush though and they were doing good. Now it looks like it's dead over night. Maybe it's that liquid kool bloom. The soil seemed dry so I watered the plants. It MIGHT have picked ok a little. I'll have to check tonight. If not something is going on at night or in the rootzone and I really don't know what the fuck is going on. I will post updates and check later tonight. Damn. This has been a real challenging year. 8/15 That plant might be overwatered or not be draining correctly. At least I was able to get underneath it and the ground was dry. It was also hard packed dirt so elevating the bag may help. I'm going to wait a few days and see if things improve. This really sucks. I'm getting that defeated feeling. I need to get out of it though as I'm starting to see flower begin. The blueberry is probably the farthest along. I need to remember to take pictures of the newly developing flowers. Granted I've had numerous medical and other issues that have taken me off my game but losing two plants in one year is pretty shitty. I was able to fix things with COVID last year or the year before so I hope I can at least save this 9lb kush plant. If I lose this plant too it will be a substantial amount of cannabis lost. I need to rearrange my cage as well to make use of the extra space. Maybe I could've overwatered that plant that had been in the rain for a long time. I need to get my water routine down pat instead of doing the "lift the pot" method I have been doing. I went to several different commercial growers and got a bunch of crazy answers. Only time will tell. Last night I finished the organocide application on all the other plants except for the two babies and the drooped 9lb kush. Don't want to stress it further. I'll see how it goes. 8/16 Despite the soil drying out the newest disaster (my 9lb kush) is much worse with chlorosis killing leaves. Stalks and branches seem good. Soil smells musty and a little wetter than the rest. It was roofed to the ground slightly. NO water underneath. I stuck my hand in the bag from a bunch of angles. It's like the same thing that happened with the other one. I added to my surveillance. I also smell bleech and I hace an idea this might not be my doing at all. I can't be detailed but I'll find out one way or another. UPDATE. Went back over after the dentist and plants were dry as a fucking bone and droopy. I mixed up five gallons of phed water and watered everything. Even the 9lb kush that is pretty much dead. The soil was dry though. Everyone is saying overwater but I really doubt that. We had some massive rainstorms bur still. I need to review a game cam I have because unfortunately my cams went on the frits for a couple days (and the dogs went wild during that time around midnight) couple nights in a row. I fucking smell bleech. I'm a good dude and don't really have any enemies but we'll see what the game cam pulls up. 8/17 Of course we are getting a shit ton of rain. I watered yestetday because everything was dry as a bone I watched yesterday as my blueberry was almost horizontal due to the wind. I added several supports to every branch and a few more up the main stalk. That may be what has been happening. The wind blowing so hard it separates the stalk from the roots. My problems started after I took my windbreaker tarp down. I put it back up for this storm. Or maybe it's just root rot. I dont fucking know. I cut all the dead stuff off the 9lb kush thats pretty mucb dead. Its holding on though. I probably shouldnt have watered that but it seemed bone dry. Maybe further down was wet. I dont know. Extra cams are up. I didn't smell that chemical bleachy smell today so it's probably in my head. I have better peace of mind with the night cams up though.and the dogs though. I've had a visitor this year but he left very quickly. 8/18 We got a shit ton of rain last night. No damage though. I spent what time I had in the garden working on the 9lb kush that looked like it was dieing. I'm not giving up on this one so easy. It seems to want to hold on. Despite the severely overwatered medium (due to this storm) I cam see new growth that looks healthy. The branches also seem stronger. I'm cautiously optimistic. The other one straight up died. So I might be able to salvage this. I'll go over later today and check on it. I debated putting it inside for the storm bur I figured I'd let the rain leech out anything in the medium in case it's locked out or something. At least I've got a couple real healthy ones this year. That NYCSA is amazing. That's a strain I'll probably grow again. Resilient as all all. Vigorous and doesn't seem impacted by things like WPM or other fungal ok infections or diseases like some other strains. I got a great recommendation from my buddy to use pots all the same size. It makes things easier watering. I just used what I had this year. I had bigger pots so I wanted to fill them. That tarp being up I think greatly helped with the wind. It's down now so things cam dry out. Still raining bit not yard and no wind. I think that may have played a large role in killing the 7ft GDP. Wind ripping the stalk away from the roots. Or it could've been a million other things. I'll never know. I do know that I have a better mindset, a great set of resources and I'm learning something new every year. If I can br8ng this plant back to life I'm going to be very proud of myself.....and her. Oh and I'm going to buy new tiger bloom. I'll start beasty bloom (hesitant as it has caused lockout in the past) as it goes better with my other nutes than the liquid kool bloom. Plus I started getting portables around tge time I used the liquid kool bloom. That being said, after two weeks I can see buds where there weren't before so I don't know. Next year I'm using seeds and I'm doing things different. I'm STRONGLY considering rapacaps idea about adding a removable roof for flower. The more I think about it tge better it sounds. That and putting wheels on pallets (buddy suggestion) and I could attach my supports directly to the pallet. I've got a lot of work to do that's for sure. Plants look healthy but I needvto him them again with organocide to fight any fungal stuff or pillars that might be hiding.

Ceremony-multiverse genetics Few days ago I took here out of the solo cup. She was in that solo for 6 weeks where she grew like a champ! She now is thriving is a 3 gallon fabric pot . I have yet to done a large watering. I will do that today since the transplant went with out a hitch. Gorilla juice- Native sun Genetics Now that the drip set up is dialed the fuck in she is ripping! She has come back from her stress from over and under watering and constantly switching up the feed. We are now set in on hydroponic research vegbloom tap hard along with stax. I do have the life+ but I can already using stash blend so I’m not sure if I’m going to use it. The girls are healthy and ready to go into flower. I was waiting for my 2x2 to be open up I think I’m just going to use a different tent. I think I’m going to put them in a 2x4 and give them each there own 15o watt light . Really looking forward to see the results from this nutrient line. I spoke with them on the phone and they answered all of my questions and concerns. They have assured me that I will get similar if not better results to my living soil. I don’t know about better but as long as it’s close I will be super happy.

Finally flipped and HOLY MOLY is it awesome to start seeing the flowers coming in for the first time on your first grow. Super delayed flip to flower and I am manually switching the lights/opening tent every day due to prioritized spending. BIG HUMIDITY PROBLEM. As I have still not hooked up an outtake fan for the tent I don't see my girls surviving past the next couple weeks so hopefully I can get that figured out. I'll open it up to 95% RH by morning and it sits around 60% even with an open tent. Other than that, I'm happy with the bud sites gained from my first ever grow. Just feeling my way through Topping, Fim, SCROG, and LST was fun a rewarding for sure. Just have to make sure they reach the finish line. TUES: Cleaned tent floor and walls with disinfectant wipes, seemed to get rid of the smell so far. Still worried about the humidity in the closed tent during the dark period. Need a duct fan hardcore before the buds start coming in. The first sight of trichs already sent me into a Powdery Mildew panic. 😱 THURS: Humidity break. Down in the 45% range and have been able to keep it in the 80s with a huge bowl of dried pasta in the tent lmao no coffee whitener or rice on hand 😒 Defoliation of light blockers and bunch ups to improve the airflow in the canopy. I'm hoping the UV lights in my LED set up are enough to keep mildew at bay and can get the dark period RH% down before buds fatten and there is risk for rot.

D63 (26/04/2021) : I top dressed the soil of every pot with Gaia Green power bloom 2-8-4, earthworm casting, bone meal and shrimp compost. I think it was a bit late in the flower to top dress the Glue Gelato. From now on I will only give water. D66 (29/04/2021): I saw more calcium deficiency but on the Banana Kush this time. She is really close from the light and I think this is why the closest leaves got some rust brown ish spots. The lamp under the Banana Kush and the Gelato is higher now. I made a gallon of home made organic CalMag supplement with Epsom salt, crushed egg shell and molasse. I gave all 3 plants 200ml of home made CalMag when watering them. I will gave them approximately 100-150ml of this CalMag supplement every other watering. D69 (02/05/2021): The smell is crazy 😍 It smells soooo good! The house is starting to smell strong too 😳😅. - Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants. - Temperature: during the day: 24-26C ; during the night: 20C. - Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time. - Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights. - Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light.

March, 30th One Plant was ready, and was Harvested today She smells like fruit Bubblegum. Buds are smaller but very solid The other Plants still flowering, and smelling very much and quite deilicious They are drinking like Barmaids, around one LLiter per Day Feeding every other Day. Just because i realized im not really providing info about my potted grow but I have been using Mother Earth coco plus perlite i added worm castings, bat guano, n vegetable garden 4-4-4. just p.h'd water at 6.50. once in flower i would water with a diluted solution from my dwc and PPM under 200PPM.

Candace hasn't recovered from overwatering. The pot is very light / dry, but the leaves still droop. They aren't crispy, discolored, curling, or taco, just droopy. I'm concerned if I let the pot dry completely it will force the microbes to go dormant and the short flower cycle may never catch up. She has the perfect structure to be a monster but this leaf drooping is not helping at all! She doesn't even need LST! Sheryl looks to have recovered fine but is much smaller and bushier than Candace. I skipped the preflower top dress because this strain has a 4 week flower cycle. I'll keep feeding them SimPro once a week. If I top dress, I'll never be able to get a good fade on these. Day 36 Bottom watered both with plain PH water. Day 37 - Both liked the bottom watering. Candace is 9" Sheryl is 11.25". LST the side branches on both. Day 41 The leaves had bounced back, but are now droopy again, which tells me they're thirsty. I have two small lower leaves on both plants show PK deficiency, so they're hungry too. Whipped up a tea using Roots Organics Terp Tea Bloom, Azoz, & Simpro Bloom. Each got 1Ml of Fish Sh!t & CalMag.

As the plant enters the fifth week of flowering, the first trichomes have begun to form. The buds have started to thicken considerably during this week. They are becoming denser and more robust, which indicates that the plant is channeling its energy into producing larger, more resinous flowers. Throughout the growth process, the cannabis plant has shown no signs of health issues. It has remained vigorous and resilient, with no observable deficiencies or diseases. To ensure optimal light penetration and airflow, the plant was lightly defoliated this week. The cannabis plant is progressing well in its fifth week of flowering. The formation of trichomes, the thickening of buds, and the plant's overall health are all promising indicators of a successful flowering phase.

When the clones and seedlings are ready for a light change, the autos are going outside I think Added a security monitor to allow me to watch the garden remotely and record any unforeseen motion. The gap between where you are and where you want to be is measured in decisions, not dreams. Dopamine release is not the pursuit of happiness; it's the happiness of the pursuit. "Mens Dei" Cannabis buds can expand or swell in warmer conditions, but this is not necessarily a desirable effect. High temperatures can cause the buds to become airy and loose, reducing their density and potentially impacting potency and aroma. First 4 weeks flower, blazing hot expansion of buds, 4 weeks after cool off? Why?? What can be made to expand, airy and loose, can also be made to contract, dense and tight. Why? Trichomes do not discriminate, although we like to think of trichomes' primary purpose as being to get us high; they are there to provide photoprotection (sunscreen). Trichomes apply themselves based on area dimensions; the more area = the more trichomes in order to protect. Different from density: Trichomes, the resinous glands on plants, are often produced in response to stress, including high light intensity. This increased production can lead to denser trichome coverage on the plant, stress, stress, stress, stress is the signal. There is a certain beauty in watching the large water-filled buds once swollen to the brim slowly shrink during drying, as the surface areas contract, the trichomes just cluster up to form denser and denser coatings, already dense from high light intensities, UVB exposure, and IPS, and every other stressor I could tweak. Trichomes, the resinous glands on cannabis plants, are often produced in response to various forms of stress. These stresses can be environmental, like excess light(HIL) or UV-B radiation, temperature fluctuations, or drought, or mechanical, such as wind, pruning, or even the weight of the plant's own buds. The plant reacts to these stressors by increasing trichome production as a defensive mechanism to protect itself and its valuable compounds like THC and CBD. In essence, cannabis plants perceive stress as a threat and respond by producing more trichomes as a way to protect themselves and their valuable compounds. Several studies have shown this. Not so much a "master" grower as a master of stress. Psssst. Tip. Trichomes fill with "antioxidants," including THC. Ant"ox"idants, The production of antioxidants in plants is intricately linked to their oxidative apparatus. The plant has limited oxidative capacity/apparatus. During daytime photosynthesis, a large percentage of that oxidative capacity is tied up in protecting the plant. During the night, plants alter their metabolic pathways. This leads to a far more focused production of specific antioxidants, like THC. Plants also produce antioxidants during the day. Excess light, for example, can trigger the production of excess antioxidants as part of their defense mechanisms against reactive oxygen species (ROS). The differential ROS production by blue and IR light can have significant biological consequences. For example, high levels of ROS induced by blue light can lead to cell damage and death, while lower levels of ROS produced by IR light may be involved in beneficial cellular signaling pathways. Long nights under the IR (very low ROS), the boost in cellular respiration, and the boost in energy production. In a perfect world, I'd give the plant a shock treatment of 60DLI in 4 hours and give her the other 20 hours to perform cellular respiration under IR. The stress of those 4 hours would be rigorous and full of stress abound, 1800-2000ppm CO2 is easy for a couple of hours during daylight, it's maintaining it that's hard, but 4 hours is very doable with nothing but a little extra "carbon sugar" in your medium every other night during the first 4 weeks of flower. In my opinion, you only need to jack CO2 for those first 4 weeks of flower to see maximal output, after that it's all about trichome preservation, everything else comes second. Without the temps to assist with metabolism, CO2 is reduced to normal levels along with temps 4-5th week of flower. Buds are primarily composed of water. Developing flower buds, like other plant tissues, require a significant amount of water for growth and turgor pressure, which helps maintain their structure and firmness. Turgor pressure in plant cells is primarily generated by osmosis, but transpiration plays a crucial role in maintaining it. The optimal internal leaf surface temperature for photosynthesis at 1800-2000ppm CO2 is likely in the upper range of 97°F, meaning ambient would need to sit at 102°F-ish or thereabout for full metabolic utilization. That's putting your transpirational pulling force x5 x6 maybe x7 of what it would be if she were cruising at 68F. "My buds won't fatten, what can I do!!" Crank that bitch. If your purpose was to blow up a balloon as fast as you can, as much as you can, would you use 2x force or x5 Force to do so? Bad analogy, but you get the idea. Kiss. It's been a pretty good week. Carl 2 stretched out like a motherfucker, nearly a four inch stretch as of today. The accidental topping due to blunt trauma a while ago seems to have stopped the stunted growth and allowed it to really shoot upwards and outwards. The split on UKBS 2 is still necrotic, and the effects seem to be travelling down the stem. I have a fan on it for airflow and I'm hitting it twice daily with a vinegar solution to try and kill off what seems to be white mold in the stem. As of recently the spread has slowed down somewhat, so I'm feeling hopeful. Next feeding it'll get hit with another round of nature's candy and velokelp to try and build some strength back up and come out a real winner in 3 months or so. The tent has been flipped to 12/12, but the outdoor plants wont be flowering for another 3 months-ish minimum, so this diary's gonna get a little interesting in terms of week type. Carl 1 is incredibly stretchy inside the tent, almost 6 maybe 8 inches from when I flipped and Scrogged. Gave Carl 1 a fat haircut a couple days ago, she reacted quite well. Same genetics, same room, same feeding — but very different expressions depending on training intensity and structure guidance. We’re now clearly working with multiple plant strategies inside the same tent. ⸻ ✂️ Training Breakdown – Plant by Plant 🌿 Plant A – Leaf Work & Gentle Guidance This plant is trained using leaf bending and leaf tucking only. • Large fan leaves are tucked under neighboring leaves • Growth tips are exposed naturally • No clamps or hard bending Response: Absolutely thriving. She’s growing tall, wide, and fast, now reaching roughly 8–9 nodes, with beautiful branching and strong vertical momentum. This is a great example of how far simple leaf management can take a healthy plant. ⸻ 🌿 Plant B – Aggressive Opening with Plastic Clamps This plant started similarly to Plant A, but quickly outpaced the rest in size. She accepted the harder intervention without stress, opened up beautifully, and continues to push growth across the canopy. Her size advantage is now being converted into structure, not just height. ⸻ 🌿 Plant C – The Heavy LST Experiment This is the plant we’ve been focusing on since last week — the smallest of the group, but the one receiving the most intensive training. • Strong horizontal bending • Continuous opening of leaves • Structural redirection from early on Response: She’s thickening, branching, and responding incredibly well. While she is still behind in height (which is expected), she’s building a dense, intentional structure. This plant is also the most delayed in showing pre-flower signs, which is completely normal under 12/12 from seed when subjected to stronger training. She may never be the tallest — but she is quickly becoming one of the most interesting. ⸻ 🌸 Pre-Flower Signals Some plants are now showing early pre-flower signs. Nothing dramatic yet, but the transition is clearly approaching. As expected: • The most heavily trained plant is the most delayed • The more upright plants are moving faster This confirms that structure and stress management play a significant role in timing under a 12/12-from-seed regimen. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment – Weather-Driven Adjustments This week brought real-world challenges. Outside conditions: • ~5 °C • 92% relative humidity Inside the tent: • Temperature: ~21.8 °C • Relative Humidity: ~58% Despite cooler and more humid ambient conditions, the plants are showing no complaints whatsoever. This range is manageable, and the canopy looks relaxed and happy. ⸻ 💡 Lighting – Letting Plants Decide We are now running approximately 700–850 PPFD, depending on plant height and canopy position. Smaller plants receive less, taller ones naturally receive more. This is intentional. The plants are: • growing into the light • dictating their own intensity • transitioning naturally toward flowering I’m not pushing — I’m responding. This run is about listening, especially under 12/12 from seed. ⸻ 🌬️ Airflow – Vortex Method Airflow is dialed in using a vortex-style circulation: • Fresh air enters from below • Warm air exits higher up • Side fans encourage circular movement • Central fans gently disrupt stagnation without collapsing the vortex This creates: • even temperature distribution • stable humidity • strong gas exchange • minimal microclimates Air is moving around the plants, not blasting them — exactly what we want at this stage. ⸻ Nutrition – Adjustment for Water Quality & LEDs 💧 Water Source We are now using a mix of: • rainwater • dehumidifier-collected water Starting EC is extremely low (~0.2), so supplementation became necessary. CalMag Introduction We introduced Plagron CalMag Pro at 1 ml/L as a preventive measure, especially important under high-intensity LED lighting, where calcium and magnesium demand increases. Current Hand-Watering Parameters (Nectar Drip Plants) • EC: ~2.29 • pH: ~6.0 • Water Temperature: ~22.8 °C 🚰 Reservoir / Autopot Clarification The tent contains six plants total, not all Nectar Drip. • Autopot reservoir currently runs Terra Grow + CalMag only • Organic inputs are excluded from the reservoir (not compatible) • Reservoir EC: ~1.43 • Reservoir pH: ~5.9 Autopot plants are occasionally top-fed by hand to receive the full recipe. For future runs, the feeding strategy will be simplified and better aligned with autopot systems. ⸻ Special Guest – Mr. Baggy Joins the Team This week we were joined by Mr. Baggy, a fluffy inspector and proud GrowDiaries “Diary of the Month” prize winner. Otra semanita para estás nenas, como ya sabía a estás niñas lesva a faltar algo más de luz y sobre todo tiempo, para el tiempo q las tengo es verdad q ko crecieron mucho, ya q tengo bastante limitado el sol en la casa, pero ahora ya estuvieron y van a seguir algo más cerca de los focos, de momento salvarlas y ver q crezcan y no pretender tanto de ellas, serán lo q serán hasta q las vuelva a poner en indoor.. se las ve bien igual, van a su tiempo... Watered with rain water and 1 ml/l Powerzyme, 1 ml/l Bloom Complex, 1 ml/l Cal Mag and 1 ml/l Green Sensation.
