I am feeding with tps one and CalMag oac one time, then it’s back to regular tap water (well water) that comes at 8.5 pH with 156ppm of tds. The feed was approx a pH of 6.5. More importantly is the consistent soil pH which appears fixed at 6.8 I know it’s lazy! However…. I have noticed doing this to reveal to me that the soil pH is very stubborn and not easily changed by the pH of the water alone. Stuff in the water can definitely have an impact. But still, most feed waters I use don’t change the soil ph. I do make sure the pH is within a healthy range for soil, something between 6 and 7 I figure is ideal. I’ve found if there is enough lime in the mix, and as long as I don’t over feed soluble nutes, then the soil pH appears stable and fixed. With enough lime in the mix, I can ultimately arrest the soil pH at 7. It’s really cool. I thought adding too much lime would give me something potentially alkaline, and maybe it will. But I’ve added lots of lime before and still haven’t gotten past 7 pH. Maybe I didn’t add enough to go further? Nevertheless I’m not interested in going past 7. I haven’t seen any issues with the speed of growth watering with 8.5 tap water, surprisingly. As I’ve said the soil pH would read 6.8 before and immediately after watering with the 8.5 tap. So….. I’m thinking the stability of the soil pH is a positive indication that the microbes are not being subjected to pH shifts, or at least nothing substantial. I mean, at the end of the day when things are looking good, I feel like I must have something right.

📆 Semana 6 La Slapz ha empezado a sacar su carácter esta semana. Los cogollos se están formando con mucha fuerza y empiezan a tener ese aspecto compacto y agresivo tan típico de esta genética. La resina va cubriendo con rapidez las flores y las hojas cercanas, dándole un look pegajoso y potente. En cuanto a la nutrición, sigo con XpertNutrients y el añadido de Sticky Fingers, que ya se está notando claramente: los tricomas están explotando y el perfil aromático empieza a intensificarse, con ese fondo gaseoso y dulce que caracteriza a esta variedad. Los Adlite siguen haciendo su trabajo impecablemente, y se nota sobre todo en cómo la Slapz está sacando cogollos consistentes hasta en zonas más bajas, aprovechando toda la estructura. El entorno se mantiene estable, con temperaturas entre 22 y 25 °C y una humedad del 55%, controlada gracias a una buena circulación de aire. De momento, ningún síntoma de estrés o problema relacionado con hongos. Aromáticamente, empieza a destacar por esa mezcla entre lo funky y lo afrutado, con un golpe potente que se anticipa a lo que puede venir en las próximas semanas. The girls are beautifull 😍, we have lot of hedgehogs 🦔, already frosty ❄️❄️ A nice smeel when I open the tent 😋😋. Leaves turn to Purple 💜 The canope is nice 🌲🌲, we have a nice rectangular green screen, as expected. I didn't remove leaves, I know in few weeks some of them will be died, so I'll let the nature do is job. So I just kick off the big leaves. 💦 1 Watering this week 1.5l/plant . Water + Cannazym + Sugar Royal PH@6 I continue to spray with water each day, but probably the last week I did it, I don't like put water on the buds... Week 8 and week 3 of flower! The terpenes are making my mouth water and the ladies are fluffier than ever and stacking up nicely. Due to weather changes recently I was able to keep lower over all temperatures and the humidity has increased slightly but it’s right where I want it (50% RH). Purple Lemonade is fading nicely and her colours are becoming more and more vibrant - she has about 2 weeks left. Terps are insane! All the other strains are happy as can be and also showing slight fade on leaves here and there. Very impressed with my Divine Seeds pheno’s and definitely recommend giving their strains a try very strong and easy to grow. Ethos Zweets literally smelling like candy canes. Dutch Passion Colorado cookies definitely giving off hues of a bakery. Overall it was a smooth week and I can’t wait for the smooth smoke! Organics is the easiest way to grow with minimal effort and great results. Shoutout to Green House Feeding Bio Line 😎

Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. Cropped Thursday evening, 3/4 days before necessary for complete maturation. Better to lose 2 ounces of weed now than having the plant destroyed by the storm later on. Yeld is below the expectations. Wet weight after 1 day fro crop (buds cleared of leaves) 2.91 lbs (1320 grams). This is caused partially by my pheno (pheno #1 sativa-like, low yield and high THC) and by some mistakes I've done: 1- position in the garden (too close to the sisters) 2- I haven't considered the change in the sun's trajectory and inclination from August onwards. 3- too much LTS (but I was obliged to keep plants short and bushy) 4- underwater (this is my fault, I always tend to keep plants on the verge of thirst. I dug up the roots and the plant actually needed a lot more water). Now she's gone I'm more relaxed and concerned on Special Kush #1, the next week crop and Pineapple Kush the October harvest. Without Royal Gorilla the smell around the home is reduced by 70%. Dry trimming. All buds have been washed before drying and will be dryed very very slowly in a strictly controlled environment. Plant continues to show growth , slow and steady but maybe it will bust with growth one day, but otherwise I noticed to leaves kind of twisting and curling and such not sure why I barely water them to keep from being overwatered because I noticed the soil does retain water a LOT plan to transplant them in coco coir 50/50 mix fox farm cream of the crop but till then they will remain in Fox farm ocean forest( maybe the soil is overloaded with nutes for this strain) 😬(and me amending not making it any better)

the plants have really grown this week and are on 250ml of filtered water every other day. nodes are looking nice and tight together and foliage is really taking shape. they seem to be growing at different speeds. Humidity can rise to 65% during the night may need to invest in a mini dehumidifier when flowering. Possibly will switch to 12/12 light cycle and initiate budding at the end of next week which will be November 21st.
