The buds weren’t the biggest I’ve grown, but this is hands down one of the stickiest strains I’ve ever cultivated. They’re absolutely drenched in trichomes and have a dense, heavy structure. This run produced two distinct phenos: the middle plant had a more indica-like structure with chunky, compact buds, while the others leaned toward a sativa-dominant, airier build. One of the highlights of this grow was the range of colors the plants showed off during flowering—super eye-catching. Trimming was a breeze too, thanks to a nice balance of sugar leaves that made the job quick and clean compared to some other strains. I’m storing the buds in a stainless steel, airtight container without using Boveda or similar humidity packs. Thanks to the DryFerm bags, the humidity has been holding steady at 61% RH, so there’s no need for extra regulation.

The plant has just entered the seventh week of flowering. During the previous week, the sixth, I performed three waterings, tapering from 5ml of Plagron Terra Bloom to 1.5ml per liter for the third watering. Now, starting this seventh week, I am beginning the flushing process with pH 6.0 water to maintain the soil around 6.2. The plant will spend the final 7 to 10 days flushing. Thanks to the pruning techniques used at the beginning, lollipopping wasn't necessary. I also apply a daily, meticulous defoliation method specifically targeting leaves attacked by pests like aphids or spider mites. Furthermore, I use Low-Stress Training (LST) on the larger inflorescences, pulling them outwards to increase light and air penetration. Drawn from years of outdoor cultivation experience, I shelter the plant under a gazebo or tarp during wet or humid nights and provide ventilation to prevent rot. I strongly advise this practice to all outdoor growers; after losing many harvests in the past, I will not allow bad weather to destroy my work.

Top dressed Asman and Asal with a tablespoon of Dr. Earth Bloom and 3 tbs of worm castings. Added terpinator, microbials and molasses to calmag'd water. Benesh got fed last week with the same load/mix and is doing great. No defoliation or much training early this week. Did some heavier defoliation on Sunday to give more of the bigger and higher buds space. Will make a TCHA tincture off of the defoliated buds, which I will add to later. Lovely mint and chocolate aromas on my fingers after the defoliation.

Easy grow for the most part. This strain had a very tropical/gassy smell to it.

Week 14 is here! The girls are almost done, i see alot of amber trichomes and some cloudy, so i will begin the flush in the next couple of days and then harvest in a week or two. The buds are rock hard and extremely frosty, really sticky stuff! The smell is so strong and very sweet on the nose. I see some deficiencies in both of them but they are so close to done/flush that i'm not going to go ham with nutrients to fix them. Good growing everyone!

Cut out a few leaves blocking buds. Smaller plant didn't like the quantity of nutes like the taller girl so cut back on her but 40in girl still giving full and loving it. Strawberry terps starting to come through, Lsd overpowering her in smell but any time I move leaves its super fruity 🍓 hope they continue to pack on weight. So this plant is doing very well and fattening up nicely , she has had her last dose of pk now , Fast buds do not give anything away with there tester seeds , but I am wondering from the flower formation of this could be the gelato auto they are going too bring out this year ?

Week 8!After a rainy week and a half with some sunlight and alot of clouds and 20 degrees celsius the girls look like this. For the coming week we have more sun so they are going to love it. Cheers! 2024-11-27 to 2024-12-02 The first time I grew Chernobyl, the plant was dense and unruly with thick, lush vegetation. In fact, the plant took up so much room in my tent that I have it to a friend to finish outdoor. It showed signs of bud rot early in the flowering period and luckily, most of it was saved from itself. In addition, the stems of this strain are more hollow and brittle, gaining thickness quickly and making Low Stress Training a difficult task that requires patience when working the branches around the LST clips. I have broken many branches on a Chernobyl plant even when applying care and caution. It requires getting the plant to the shape and size you need early, so that silica can be added to strengthen the branches in prep for those killer nugs. They are taking about .5 gallons of feed every other day.

Week 12 Day 1 humidity has climbed a little higher than I would like due to a big storm we had 2 days ago but will come down over the next few days. The flowering seems to be coming along nicely, no signs of any mishaps yet. Week 12 Day 3 the trichomes are really starting to present themselves already. Only issue I’m dealing with currently is high humidity in the tent (68%) due to the very rainy weather we’ve had over the past few weeks Week 12 Day 7 and the frost continues to come in. Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Sorry for the broken lens. My harvest was 19.5oz. I left the main stem and one of the branches to seed, I'll grow with the next generation of female plants, if successful. There was a week of rain and it was starting to seed, so I harvested it a week early. In the end though the terpene profile was crazy for edibles and for smoking. The slow drying allowed the buds to retain a lot more terpenes, the fan leaves shield the buds and prevent them from drying out too quickly.

Well, another week has passed and they are growing very well, now it's a matter of two to three weeks for me to change them to flora, this week I did a little defoliation on the plants and watered them again with top crop top veg fertilizer and I also did some bindings known as low stress training. =D
