11/24 I was checking the bottom of the pot looking at the roots and I accidentally hit one of the colas off the light and it almost broke it off. Thankfully it didn’t that’s why I have that random tie connected to my tent pole. 11/27 the main colas fan leaves are really starting to fade which worries me a bit since it seems a bit too soon, but oh well we are going to ride it out. There is not much I can do at this point without making it a harsh smoke.

First time using skunkwerks. A little nutrient burn so next time I’ll start with 3-3.5 ml but overall it’s 10/10!

Week 5 Before and after LST

A 4 hour planned power outage in my area gave me the excuse to flip the girls. Kept the lights off for a cycle then immediately went 12/12. Although the temperature dropped to a root freezing 58°F, the reservoir didn't have a chance to fluctuate much and I also kept my air pumps running for an extra hour and a half off my computer backup battery! The battle with root rot is basically over. I am taking care to rinse the roots every once and a while. Growth has been amazing! Loving DWC! It also gives me things to do as I lie to pay attention to my plants. Doing a thorough clean with H2O2 every res change. PPM is around 800-900. Drops fast now. Every two days I check PH and correct if necessary. Usually it's been around 6.2-6.3 when I check. I PH it back down to 5.8. I've heard that flowering is a little on the acidic side so I'm planning on dropping my PH to 5.5-5.6. Did a major defoliation after this diary entry. Will do another in three weeks. Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! A week on and I have transplanted the girls from the nursery to the 15l pots. My main girl is doing well with leaf development and is coming to the second node of growth. One of the mutations is looking a lot better now and has a better shape to it. The third is still on the wild side but again I’ll stick with it and see what I get.

At the start of the week these Lemmosas got their first nutes. GONZO FARMS - GROW (as Organic as possible!) was applied as a nutrient tea, slowly poured at the base of the plant. Then, a couple days later, the light was turned up to 6, AND they got bent and tied down. By the end of WEEK 7 they got trimmed and rearranged. They are looking great as they get ready for the flowering stage in a couple of weeks. 👽

These lady's have been taking there sweet time initially wat I thought was going to be a ugly one turned into the best and most frosty one I got in tent although none of my ggxwws look the same but two but this strain has grown very good and has one hell of a smell to them...well this week was going good but had one turn hermi on me lucky I caught before it got bad and got it removed before it pollinated my others

Another week of flower down. The babies have really been stretching. Hopefully the stretch is slowing and they’ll start stacking soon, because they have been CLIMBING toward that light. Hahaha Happy growing, everyone!

I am still not happy with the ‘Blue Dream’, it continues to develop but shows burns on the tips of the leaves. The curled leaves are also a mystery to me! The fertilisation is identical for both plants, the Moby Dick shows none of these symptoms in comparison. Parallel to this grow, I have another plant that also does not show these symptoms when fertilised. We'll see how it continues!

Baked Bomb autoflower grew really well. I had a issue getting a seed going, then some ph issues in vegging. Beside that she just thrived. Big dense colas with a cherry vanilla fruity smell. Loaded with trichromes as well. Can't wait to give her a try. Frost is all over and she smells incredible. The buds are getting bigger and bigger. Cant wait to sample her 😋 She got a little defoliation on day 66, nothing crazy.

Soweit war diese Woche alles in Ordnung bis ich mitte der Woche entdeckt hab das die Orange Bud an zwei Stellen das schimmeln angefangen hat.. Hab alles grob weg geschnitte sie dann im endeffekt trotzdem paar Tage später geerntet weil die Trichome für meinen Geschmack schon ready waren. Hab die Luftfeuchtigkeit dann nochmal versucht weiter runter zu bekommen.

Welcome to the new week for Devil Cookie. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Canopy Support: The colas have swollen to the point where she is incredibly top-heavy. She absolutely cannot carry her own weight anymore. I had to string up the branches and hang her directly from the light fixture to prevent the stems from snapping under the heavy load. You can clearly see the extreme lean and the support wires. Trichome Maturation: The macro shots show extreme resin coverage across the sugar leaves and calyxes. Trichome heads are fully milky with amber starting to push through consistently. Almost all pistils have receded and turned a deep orange. 💧 Next Steps: With the branches securely tied to the light, the focus is strictly on monitoring the trichome ripeness. We are in the final harvest window now. I will continue checking the heads daily to nail the exact chop time. Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨
