There isn’t a ton to report this week other than the two behind my garage are on their stretch, and the one in the garden is bulking up. It has been raining a lot here, I gave all two big dosages of cal/mag and tiger bloom. I figured most of the nutrients were washing through the soil. I haven’t noticed any nute burns, so I’ll likely keep feeding them once a week. I did some bud backbuilding on my garden plant about a week ago, because the other two didn’t look as developed, i snipped the tip of the buds on the other two about two days ago. I think overall I should have a pretty good yield this summer, I wish I had a bit more purple buds, but hey🤷‍♂️ Purple kush none the less. I’m signing out for the week, thanks for tuning in. Cheers.

I defoliated the Plant for the first time and adjusted the LST to the growth of the plant. I found the first white pistils shooting out from the plant which shows me she is ready to go into flower. Until now i am very happy with the progress, still no issues :)

Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet. And we just improved airflow with defoliation. ⸻ ⚡ EC 2.9 — Aggressive but Intentional That EC is strong. But: • Plant is compact, not oversized • Sour Diesel can eat • pH 6.5 keeps availability wide (Ca, Mg, P balance) The key will be: • Watching leaf tips • Monitoring runoff behavior • Watching for clawing or salt stress Right now, if she’s praying and stacking, she’s handling it. ⸻ 🔍 What To Expect Next Week (Flower Week 4) After defoliation: You may see: • Slight pause (24–72 hours) • Increased vertical bud push • Better lower-site activation • More defined pistil clustering • Stronger apical dominance response If recovery is clean: • Buds begin early stacking phase • Internodes tighten • Resin production initiates at bract level If stress appears: • Slight leaf droop • Tip burn acceleration • Reduced upward leaf angle But based on structure and timing — this looks calculated, not reactive. ⸻ 🧠 Why This Week Matters Long-Term This week determines: • Airflow pattern for late flower • Mold resistance later • Bud density uniformity • Final trim efficiency • Light-to-bud conversion efficiency This wasn’t about now. Welcome to week 2 of flower on this lovely project! The ladies are stretching like crazy and it won't be long till we see some lovely flower tops starting! Some really cool genetics featured this run by a really cool breeder Hidden Vault Genetics. Plants are stretching along nicely. Day#9F Plants bounced back from the scrog training very quickly. They're picking up the pace with stretching! Day#10F Plants are just bursting in new growth, Creamy Cereal Crunch is getting huge! Day#11F We got the start of cotton balls going! Day#12F Pictures N/A. Ladies continue to explode in growth, defoliated some of the older leaves that aren't getting any light. Day#13F The ladies continue their stretch! Creamy Cereal is absolutely beasting out! Day#14F Cotton balls are getting bigger and bigger. Plants continue to stretch with minor signs of slowing down. Going well. Think I may flip in the next week. Don't want the plants to become too unmanageable for my first crop. Really enjoying the learning process. Thinking a t-break starting soon would make it easier to enjoy the harvest. Looking at getting some bubble hash processing equipment and a rosin press, my prefered consumption method from right at home. At this size what would an experienced grower expect in terms of yield? Hello fellow growers! This is my first entry on growdiaries. I've been growing for about two and a half years, and got most of my knowledge following other growers from this site. I've decided to start sharing my own grows, so I can learn from experienced growers even more, and help other growers too if I can. This is around my 7th grow now. I didn't document any of the veg for this plant, and only started documenting since Week 4, but going forward I will be trying to document the whole cycle of the plant. I'm running x2 ETHOS Fanta Sea RBX & x2 ETHOS Citradellic Sunset. I vegged them for around two months in 1 liter pots, than transplanted them to the larger 15 liter pots and into my flowering tent for about a month. I usually flip them after a week or so from transplanting, but this time I was abroad and I didn't want to flip them and not tend to them during the first weeks of flowering, when the huge growth spurt happens, so I decided to flip them after I come back. The result ended up being with all plants growing and stretching like crazy during my time away, before even flipping. Once I flipped, I threw in a scrog net and bended as much as possible. A week later ended up putting up another scrog net. I was afraid that the plants would stretch right under the lights, but now during week 4, any growing seems to have stopped and the plants energy is being channeled into the buds. During the first 3 Weeks of flowering, I had a huge issue with humidity which stayed around 70%. Problems stemmed from being in a basement, bushy plants, bad ventilation & perspiration from AC + Heat from light fixture. I learned much more about humidity from this grow. It's much more stable now after adding another dehumidifiert, fixing the ventilation and defoliating heavily. See you next week for the next entry!

We back with some buckets! Time to fire up the pumps and get this show on the road. If you haven't seen sugar cane then you need to crawl out from under the rock you're hiding in. Soaked this beautiful little gem of a bean in some water until it cracked then threw it into the bucket with 100% perlite. Started them on a low dose of maxigro on day 3. Doing these diy Dutch Bucket style as always. Going to be running 8 in house genetics strains on the system with constant 24 hour a day irrigation. Not much exciting going on yet, but with a little luck that may change pretty soon.

Start of week 5. Taking shape I guess. Don't like what's been done to her but I'm commited now. I think she is okay leaves are a little dryer then I think they should be. I'm not sure if it's all the torture she had to endure at my butcher finger tips but I will watch her over the next few days. Last day of week 5.. day 34 tidy up of the main line and removing all growth below second nodes on the mainlines. Gonna let them rest while i decide if we go for 8 or 16. Stay safe everyone. I think everything was well but then i see the Doppler Plant starts automatically to bloom 😳🤯 and that under a 18/6 Cycle. I know that S1 Strains (self pollinated Mother Plant) are not Automatic Plants. Only when one of their Parents have these Genes. So i was a little bit confused and started to write with the Breeder about that. They are really curious too, how this can happen Was a wild Week with that News. But don’t worry i give her the best Light Intension as i can for the other Plants Veg. PPFD Range was between 500 and 600. Get the Pot higher that she get enough Sun. For now it was not that bad I‘m sure there come not really an Stretch. I started to spread the Plant out as much as i can with LST Mixed her before i discovered that 500ml Water with 20ml Orgatrex and 1g Bactrex in it. It wasn't quite what I expected, as I now drive one Auto and three Photperiods. But I'm still in a good mood 🤩

Flushing for the next two weeks only giving them RO PH'd water. Outdoor plants have amazing resin production but weak on the denseness of buds, will make for an good extract or cannabutter. Harvest date for indoor plants is set at Apr. 30th, Outdoor plants may 12th Indoor *mottled* glueberry still has those sweet berry terpenes, however the center and bigger glueberry still only has the diesel and skunk notes. Frisian dew indoor is not that great, definitely not suited for this environment for how bushy she gets and temperatures, moved her outside with the other frisian and moved the glueberry clone inside. That frisian is going to be a garbage 5% thc yield, very sickly plant. I've got two more seeds of Frisian to pop and a Blue Dream Fem seed, going to start them here mid - late may and have a nice outdoor summer crop and keep the Blue Dream indoor *Early Trim Smoke Report* So the small branch I snipped and hung earlier this week was dry enough to smoke a real sample. Let me know she's right on time with finishing here in 10 days, trichs were about 50% cloudy 45% clear 5% amber

First week of flowering.

These girls got left alone for a week and they are growing great so far. I have both of them in a 5 gallon together and they seem happy so far. First time growing two plants in one pot.

My Ladies are really thirsty. I was not at home for four Days and give them 5 Liters per Plant. When i came home they looks like they want dying Buds was so fat now that they hang down on some Stems. So i decided to use the Scrog Net They are getting frosty but Trichomes are just clear

The plants are growing extremely fast and becoming increasingly resinous, with numerous buds visible. The leaves are a lush green color, with some plants displaying purple on the underside of the leaves. Flowering day: 35

4/25 Day 54 Flowers are popping up from everywhere

Hey Freunde heute ein kleines Update, mittlerweile ist Blütetag 24 der stretch war wohl noch nicht ganz zu Ende und besonders die Papaya und die Pink Chai haben nochmal nen richtigen Schub gemacht. Heute hab ich mal doppelt soviel Wasser gegossen, da die unteren Blätter schon leicht vertrocknet waren und die Töpfe immer sehr leicht. Die Pink Chai bekommt minimal gelbe spitzen, aber is glaub zu vernachlässigen, verdacht war zuviel Licht. Sie hat danach auf jedenfall auf gehört die Blätter zum Licht zu strecken, also erstmal keine praying leaves mehr, heute Abstand verringert und sie Betet wieder.
