High GD community Week 16, Zuchinis all around, tomatoes getting ready on a daily. Cucumbers are getting almost mature proportions. Everything going well. Terra preta Location: center perma garden Surface: 125cm x 105cm Depth: 115cm The hole was dug out over 3 days, it were very sunny days. 😅 Theres mostly loamsand with a small sandloam bottom that was very hard. The sand was also very compressed and hard. The top layer is this grey dusty soil of about 40cm deep. At the bottom theres pure sand thats soft, easy drainable. First step is to fill up the entire bottom with fine chopped wood, progressively using bigger pieces of wood. I try to use some hardwood like oak to for its extra K (potassium = pot ash). A bit of charcoal to. This will take the entire first day, bcs it needs to have a minimal ticknes of pure ashes of around 5cm. Otherwise, after compressing it with the upcoming layers, the ash-line would almost disappear. Not all the wood needs to be burned entirely. Its a first layer with lots of N and K. Bones can be used to in the fire making the NPK complete. But it can be added also as a separated layer. I dont have that much bone material because my 2 dogs, or eating, or burry them somewere. Little warning at the end, be aware of your local laws applied to open fires. 😅😉 After a good burn ive got between 8 and 12cm of ashes in total over the entire surface. A small layer of soil (5cm) is put on top of that. Theres no need to harden out that layer, pressure will to the work and the layers will compress over time into ideal circumstances. On to the next layer!! Next is a layer of the compost, but the part that isnt allready decomposed. Its green/brown/yellow of color. And a bit of everything, grass, weeds, leafs and some thin branches. Another layer soil to cover that up. Now i formed a thin layer of chopped(10mm) wood(beech), just enough to make a thin,almost 1 piece high, layer. On to this i added a complete wheelbarrel of compost(black) with small pieces of still not completly decomposed materials. Lots of worms here. On that, you guessed it, an other layer of soil. I try to have both types of soil in that mix, the almost pure sand and the more grey type. Next, back to the beech. This time the rest of the bag follows. Theres a good layer of around 3cm deep. On this ive layed down some new small woodsticks to make a small fire again. Starting at the center and adding some last branches i found. It turned out really smoky!! Half way the burn ive opend the core of the fire, trying to spread the small pieces of char over the complete surface. After that, i added for the first time some water here. And an other layer of soil again, this is just covering up each time. Max 5cm!! Now we are at the upper half of the pit. Still 50cm to go. Now ive added some compost again, the green/brown/yellow one, with on top of that, a 15 liter bucket with compressed bokashi fermentated kitchen leftovers. Making a layer out of that and some fresh bokashi juice with 10 liters of water to drain those benificial bacteria into to compost layer just underneath it. This layer is almost 20cm tick. Again, yeah, soil, 5cm. Ive bought some blond peat to at to to toplayers. Last 25 to 30cm of soil, is a mix of the peat(20%) and the two other types of soil. First ill do tiny layers of each, last 10cm i try to mix it. And to finish the job, ive took some 100% reused and composed soil with some perlite in it from past use. I havent watered a lot, but the meteo predicts a good amount of water in the upcoming days. The soil that stayed and didnt get back to its original place, ive used to make a new top layer on the rest of the mini field. I havent used clay because it was hard to find or just to expensive. Beside the peat(250l), i didnt buy anything. So its labor intensive, but real cheap. Hey guys! So, finally Saturday I chopped her down. She looked now ready and delicious, although I only notice yesterday how many seeds she has allover the place. She hermied in front of me without noticing, not good at all and need to start looking much better and in detail into the plants. Feel like an idiot now. Anyways, it was a full week! Emptied the grinder collector and pressed it down a little, makes a very nice smoke, light but pleasant, the kind of stuff it keep you going all day without the dumb effect. From all trimming made the bubble hash. Got a little too green as the 220micron bag's stitches slightly opened letting some contaminants in the final mix, hence the green color. This was a hit. in opposition to the grinder stuff, this sent me straight to the moon, really heavy stone effect, even thinking was hard. Reminded me those afghan/ moroccan balls we used to get back in the early 2000's. The weed itself it's still drying so the smoke report will be updated in there. 715g of fresh cut plant is good, let's see the potency and the seeds. Might turn it all into bubble hash, if I see it'll be an hassle to remove seeds. On an earlier bud I've cut and dried, smoked it and you can see pure white ashes in the bong. Ain't that a beauty?

1-2-2022 A solution has been found and implemented. A simple quick project that cost little and not much time to make. Works very well. She is responding to her new environment and soon she will be into her new home in true Aeroponic spray only fashion.

Sorry it took so long for an update. I got married in the meantime and went on a honeymoon. Before I went though I took the plants down and had a friend take care of the drying and curing. It looks like I got 2 pheno's. One is has more red hairs and is a bit more skunky and peppery. The other has bit more sativa like bud forming and smells a bitt gassy in addition to the tangieness. The yield is also definitely not disappointing. Plant 1: 76gr Plant 2: 68gr Plant 3: 65gr Total:209gr I am happy with that. Especially since it's my first LED grow.

Week 12 . Tricomes are nicely starting to form everywhere. They are starting to look daam sexy! . The smell gets stronger and stronger and the leaves are getting real sticky to touch and when cut. Overall conditions are golden! And each time i change my water i get amazed by how clear it is!

Hello fellow growers, 4th week for the Double Grape and we are still looking good. She recovered perfectly after the topping, in fact, she didn't seem to suffer from it at all. I did some light training on the lower branches, I am waiting for the top branches to grow a bit more before I start to manipulate them. She's showing some pistils, now the real fun begins. 😎 I am still following the HESI feeding schedule and we are doing just fine. This week I added HESI Boost which role is to activate flowering. Well she looks like she's finally done stretching she's starting to crown and I can't wait to see what she turns into.. I hope this is going to be a tasty one.. I will say for a half gallon of dirt this is turning into a pretty big plant.. initially I was hoping for an ounce or two just to try it but now I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with three or more... When you use maxi Bloom with Cal mag and silica you don't need a 5 gallon pot or 7 gallon pot to grow a big plant you just need to be able to feed it every day because the pot dries out quick.. that combination of nutrients is literally like steroids for your plants.. as long as you know how to flush properly this is definitely the way to go and it's also 100% the cheapest.. a 3 lb bag of Maxi Bloom is less than 20 bucks and you could do a whole run from beginning to end with just that bag alone.. you can actually do multiple runs with just that bag.. hope all is well Happy growing everyone ✌️

It was fairly easy to clone these from my veg tent which I will display. I used a 16 site EZCloner using the Clonex Rooting gel in combination with the floraflex V1 and V2. The first week went well, 2 small feeding per day. Slight heat wave in my city “Mass” reached high temperatures in the 90s. Overall first week went well although I did hace to install my chiller to keep my reservoir temperature down on the 70’s. These plants were pheno chased throughout my years as a medicinal patient (So Flavorful 🤤😋). I can’t wait to see the final product.
