Grow Journal Week 5: Bloom Phase Progress 🌼 Hello dear growers and growerettes, I’m thrilled to share the fifth week of the bloom phase in our grow journal! Here are all the details for Week 5: Weekly Progress It's been a typical week of development for the plants. Not much has happened aside from the usual growth. However, I had to reset my watering system due to an error, which involved removing the mulch layer. Since then, I've been closely monitoring to ensure the watering remains consistent. Watering and Control Systems After resetting the watering system due to an error, everything seems to be back on track. I'm observing the system closely to ensure its consistent performance. Challenges This week, the defoliation process has been particularly challenging, even though it usually goes smoothly. There are just too many fan leaves with trichomes this time. Goals and Expectations I am curious to see how the plants will continue to develop over the next two weeks, as this period will give me a good indication of what to expect at harvest. Girls are starting to show pre flower. Thanks goodness the light pollution in the pot patch is 0. Will add some bloom amendments next week, although they got some bone meal not too long ago. Did another foliar spray as next week may be the last time I will be able to deliver nutrients in that manner. NEVER foliar spray buds! Unless you want to get bud rot.

Even she is 2 weeks younger than the others, she is keeping up with her sisters and she probably will be the first to get harvested. She got nice frost and is sticky af and i´m looking forward to test the first sherb terps 😋

Had to go to new orleans for 5 days, my auto-irrigation setup failed and was barely giving water to the plants , they grew slower than they could have, so i may have stunted a bit of their growth this week. Despite that, they seem healthy and buds are on one of them are starting to mature. The other 3 are close behind. I posted a video of the timelapse during the time that my auto-irrigation failed. You can see the spurts of growth from a faulty irrigator only releasing a miniscule amount of water. This resulted in the plant slowly wilting, then exploding in growth when a tiny amount of water was released. (about a cup every two days, for about a week.) Otherwise, been watering when pots dry out, then a full runofof fill carbon filtered tap water (un-phed) treated with 3mg per gallon cal-mag suppemented Besides that, no nutrients have been added because I've been using FFOF, and the soil is WAY too hot. Will not use again

Unfortunately, the Blue am and dynamighty (also due to their long flowering periods) didn't make it. Told my roommate to cut the plants when I saw that video and those pics but it was far to late already..

By end of week was watering every other day with about 300 ml/plant and adjusting PH to between 6.0-7.0. Turned on the SF-1000 QB this week.

Week 10: I loved growing this strain, it smelled so fruity while the buds were on the plant. Towards the end of flowering the buds looked sugar dipped as described on the website. The sap from inside the stems smells like skittles and sugar lol which was a nice surprise! Most pistils are Amber so idk what the THC/CBD ratios are going to be. Il give an estimate once buds are cured for 2 weeks or so! So I’ve managed to get some street weed to compare alongside my own weed and I’ve added the pictures to the harvest so you guys can see them. I tried to pick the best street weed from about 4 varieties so here we go... The street weed is called Wedding Cake, my weed is obviously Smoothie and I suppose what I want to know is how the street weed looks, does it look healthy? Any guesses as to how it was dried or cured if even? The first noticeable thing is that the street weed stems are huge and the sugar leaves seem to be left on the plant to dry too. Although I did leave sugar leaves on this time I feel that it’s not very professional. I have smoked a joint of the wedding cake and it’s not all that great, feel a bit sedated/couch locked but not high or happy if you know what I mean :) but yeah please let me know what you think in the comments :) Curing Update: (1) Been curing for a week and buds are definitely smoking much better now, the taste and burn still isn’t amazing as it needs a few more weeks curing but it’s unique and exotic. It’s very strong when it comes to THC, because it still needs further curing you could smoke a whole joint and think damn that’s still too fresh to get me blazed. By the end of the joint you would be struggling to keep a conversation or stand up, Stoned eyes that even eye drops won’t cure :’D and it’s also a real head high in my opinion, audio/visuals definitely enhanced too, everything is extremely bright, sharp and sounds great! I don’t really care about time of day smoke as i could need something stronger at different times for pain etc but this is definitely a Nighttime smoke, it hits so hard that the best thing you can do is put on some music and close your eyes or watch a movie. An amazing strain for zoning out entirely into some chill music and if you need weed to deal with strong physical or mental pain or sleep problems then I would recommend giving this a go as so far it has been a lifesaver for me. Curing Update: (2) So I think the buds have been curing for just over 2 weeks now and they are looking great and smoking pretty well too. A few more days drying wouldn’t have hurt them but I’m not worried as my Blue Cheese and Pineapple Express harvests are just around the corner! I added some lovely photos and a video to show you guys how it looks And I’m just about to blaze up a joint from the last photo and tell you all how it smokes too... (Lights up joint) Slightly damp on lighting it up although it burns near perfect. Instant hit on the back of the throat with smooth/mango flavors. I feel a bit dizzy quite quickly and want to sit down and listen to music after a few tokes followed by a relaxed or mellow feeling. I’m about halfway through the joint now and I’m pretty stoned. Definitely sweet and smooth like blueberry also sherbet sweet like mango! I’m almost finished my joint now and I suppose to sum up I’d say that it’s much like the blueberry smoothness you expect mixed with the strength from a well grown mango. I felt that the effects are great if your in a nice comfortable setting, get relaxed, be creative, watch a movie or even get ready to sleep. I would avoid anything that requires a lot of effort. Personally I’ve had minimal problems with getting to sleep and with anxiety while taking this throughout the day and would highly recommend it! It’s the best thing I’ve grown so far :) Il leave a final review on the buds in 2 weeks, until then take care and happy growing! Curing Update (3) - 05/03/20 So I’ve finished the smoothie buds and I have to say they were great. The only negative was it’s my first time drying buds with trim and they could have done with a little longer drying. I made some canna butter from 3G of trim and 2.25g of bud. I made ginger cupcakes with salted caramel icing. You guys can see it cause I added a photo. I can only eat 2 per day with a heavy tolerance - sedative cupcakes hahah. Beginning of week 10(Bloom): Not much to mention this week. The fade is starting to show more. Really looking forward to harvesting this. Doing my research now on what I need to do for a successful harvest. Added in a family photo😀

All going according to the plan, some plants gained a lot of weight during this week, other just packed some resin. Gave their last feed today, with 42 days of flower. Water with seaweed extract, molasses and micorrize. Gonna harvest the smallest plant with 50 days cause i'm running out of smokable weed ;/ Mother number 1 is looking great, smells like strawberry with a really fresh, almost cold, smell. hoping this profile reflects on the joint. Mother number 2 is the smallest of the mothers but smells the best, citrus with sweet, the closest to terp profile im looking for. Mother number 3 is fat and smells like strawberry with something more cheesy on the background. GDP is amazing! its packing a lot of resin, smelling great and producing heavy buds, think its gonna be the biggest yielder of the bunch. Next week im gonna take some small branches to taste whats coming and decide who is gonna go to revegging after the harvest to become a mother.

5/20 I'm in love 😍 the leaves are lime green only because of the frost lmao this plant is ridiculous and Iam so looking forward to where this plants headed. This one bud in the middle is looking more and more purple each day. If the flower from this plant is what I'm hoping it to be, I will definitely be keeping this in my garden, which would be a first. I also never had intentions to do that or medical intentions to be more specific, up until now.
