Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Flowers are still stretching towards the light. Also starting to look like actual buds now all that work is starting to show. Plant is now very thirsty and drinking about 3l during lighting hours it could probably drink more every morning the pot is so light showing me that it’s drinking all of it over night I like this plant so much I started making more seeds by rooting the cuttings in soil. They will produce seeds as they will also produce pollen! Hopefully I will contain the pollen away from the main plants by keeping the pots under humidity dome

Sry, Osterzeit Geburtstag und Co haben zeitlich ihren Tribut gekostet aber jetzt schon mal der deutsche Part für den Rest der Vegetation unserer schönen Ladys 😊 Tag 43: nichts besonderes heute zu tun für die Ladys einfach mal chillen unter ihrer Sonne 🌞 Tag 44: heute gab es den Blütedünger von Green House Feeding(GHF Bloom Bio line) und zwar 76g/Topf als Topdressing. Zum Angießen gab je 2l Wasser mit ph 6.3 und 1g/l Enhancer und ein paar größere Blätter noch rausgenommen, aber nicht viele. Nur genug um den kleineren Nachzüglern der Triebe noch eine Chance gibt hoch zu wachsen. Tag 45:weil es gestern spät wurde heute nochmal 1l ph 6.2 Wasser mit 1ml Calmag gegossen und die Ladys saufen wie blöde 😊 Tag 46: die basen funzen nicht weil der Boden der Töpfe komplett trocken war, dummer Anfängerfehler, ist aber auch das erste Mal dass ich sie nutze, also Töpfe in 2l von unten in ne Wanne angewässert und dann wieder auf die basen zurück 😊 Tag 47: 1l Ph 6.2 Wasser mit 1ml/l Calmag von oben um den Dünger weiter ins Substrat zu spülen. Tag 48: sämtliche Erdhaken entfernt, you are free now Girls Tag 49: Lichtstärke nochmal um gut 100 ppfd erhöht Ende Vegetationswoche 5

Week 6, quick root flash. All going very well the nutrients are at 2.5ml/l now, vita race weekly, bacillus mix. Plant started to flower properly and the stretch is on its way. Water at ph 6-6.5. I always try to keep the bottom clean so I do multiple clean ups of lower leaves and braches every week. Also doing this focuses the energy of the plant to the top and she doesn't waste time making popcorn buds.

The more light the more she can eat well (biggest factor) amongst several others. Hmmm week 5 dont foret she eats the most. Also dont cycle water nute feeds just nutes rest then flush. Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay! This week I raised the amount of phosphorus and potassium! And yikes! I went suuuuuuper high by mistake! I gave them (after pH and TDS checks) a total of 1968 ppm which I believe was just way too much for my babies 😬 gladly they barely showed some nutrient burn. With the exception of Boomer and Falcho, which both plants are still showing some chlorosis (better than last week tho) and I believe it's probably because of some sort of nutrient lock out or maybe the plant is just getting too old! You'll see from the photos how the plants developed after overfeeding them. They didn't wither 😱 or anything (and only some few leaves started to show some signs of nutrient burn) so I'm happy so far. I'll be more careful next week about this! Besides that big mistake everything went well. I kept removing dry/yellow leaves and taking care of my babies 👌 Thanks everyone for reading!

Fantastic thc production and buds nicely developed, swapped out the shogun boost for the bud xl which I like to do for the last week before flush. Dropped EC down to 1.1-1.2 as they are in the final stages of flowering. Only issue is I regret getting rid of one of the phenos so may try and take a clone from a small flower to save it.

I really feel like changing the lights in week 5 was a bad idea with both this and the gorilla glue. The quality of these nugs is great, but they could have done more. When running autos, its like a hurdle race, every little hurdle you hit takes away from the end product. However, despite my apparent mishandling, the smoke on this stuff is still great. The flavor is there for sure.

More watering: 1,5L every 60 hours Same cocktail: Calmag (0,5ml/L)+ FloraGro (2ml/L), FloraMicro (2ml/L), FloraBloom (1ml/L) + Root booster + Cannazym Feeding soil with guano bat (NPK 3/6/10) for a slow dispersion + dried horn and blood (NOK 13/0/0) for nitrogen add. Protecting plant: sprayed Neem Oil, added diatomaceous earth on soil. I found signs of thrips attack. I will make a defoliation soon.
