Strain: Chocolate Haze (Royal Queen Seeds) Medium: Coco bricks (Action budget bricks – hell yeah 💰) Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow Style: No training, no stress – just flow Grow Medium Prep: 500L of coco – never again in one go 😅 The Kickoff 🚀 This run started off wild and direct – no veg time, straight into 12/12 with Chocolate Haze. I wanted a quick turnaround and thought, hey, why wait? I germinated 14 seeds, hoping for at least 9 strong ladies. Ended up with 11 survivors – not bad! First few weeks were a bit chaotic: stretching due to low light (I tucked the seedlings under mature plants, which I do not recommend 😆), and the coco prep took way longer than expected. But hey, that's the game. Early Veg/Bloom — Lessons Learned pH: Started a bit high; some light green leaves at first EC: Too low at 1.3 — they weren't having it. Upped to 1.7 and then to 2.1 later Environment: New extractor dropped temps way down (25°C vs my usual 30°C). Thought it would help, but growth felt slower Coco quirks: They looked overwatered at times, but coco is tricky like that. Eventually, roots hit the bottom and they took off Around mid-March (3 weeks in), pistils showed up – officially the start of flower. I topped them once just before full bloom kicked in. Always a strange move, cutting healthy plants... but they bounced back beautifully. Nice and bushy now. Week 2–5 Flowering 🌸 These ladies are small but mighty. Not tall, but full of energy. The canopy is tight and even (except for one shorty), and they've been stretching like crazy — classic sativa move. Had to raise the lights twice in two days. I’ll probably do some defoliation soon to slow things down a bit. Environment is now dialed in: Temp: 30°C with lights on RH: Holding nicely in that humid sweet spot CO₂: Set to 500ppm (passive mostly, no full-on enrichment) Feeding is now solid, color has recovered beautifully, and the buds are starting to form nice stacks. I’ve kept it low-stress — no nets, no heavy training, just letting them do their thing. Observations & Setup Tweaks 🔧 Ventilation: Running the fan at just 30% now. Tent takes 18 seconds to vacuum seal, which tells me airflow is minimal – less CO₂ loss. CO₂ System: Minimal usage at 500 ppm. I’m not going all-out with gas bottles; it’s just there as a buffer. Structure: These Chocolate Haze plants don’t get tall, but they do fill out nicely. Perfect for a space where height is limited. Auto side note: One of the autos in the same tent is way taller, but less dense. Makes me appreciate the Chocolate Haze structure even more. Current Status (April 17) 📆 We’re deep into flower now — week 5, and it shows. Buds are swelling and resin production is kicking in. Nothing major to report (which is kind of the point of this grow — set and forget). Just a slight dry issue with one auto, which I adjusted on the Blumats. Besides that? Happy plants, happy grower. 🌞 Check the latest pics — they speak for themselves. Final Thoughts (So Far) 💭 This Chocolate Haze grow has been chill, efficient, and surprisingly hands-off. The direct 12/12 schedule really works when you're going for a fast cycle with minimal hassle. And even though I’m usually more into hybrids, this sativa-dominant lady is winning me over — the structure, the vigor, the smell… mmm. Now we wait for the real magic — the last few weeks of flower. Due to the pandemic, I was unable to update this diary weekly, but I recorded the results of the harvest with some photos and only now managed to update the diary. Of two plants, one was flowering with purple colors and the other with green colors both with same shape. Flowering went well despite the plants having to withstand a lot of heat. Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

Hi there. Here’s a few photos and videos over the past few weeks. I transplanted the Wedding Cheesecake Fast Flowering ladies outdoors around May 24th. A little sooner than I had planned, but they were starting to get root bound in their starter containers. They have been exploding with growth since the transplant. The larger plant is already 4’ tall and the shorter one is 39”. Fast Buds website says up to 3 Meters (10 Feet) outdoors. At this pace they might exceed that!!!👍👍

Day 22 - 28 She is really eager. The growth rate is noticeable every morning when I have look into the growing tent... I am keeping the same nutrient rates because, as you can see from the pictures, there are signs of nutrient toxicity. I am giving CalMag and Rhizo as mentioned above, but I have decreased all the TriPart nutrients to half. I will continue watering her this way for the next 2-3 sessions. I am also confused regarding defoliation. Every session I am cutting some leaves if they are blocking too much light and if I cannot manage to push them down. However, I will wait for the real defoliation session until the early flowering phase. What do you guys think?

1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. I'll go with half-strength veg and half-strength bloom for a week, then go with full strength bloom nutrients until I start flushing them in 6-8 weeks. 1/18: I installed the second far-red flowering initiator today and got all my timers configured for flowering: ========================================= timer#1 - power strip with qb's and red boosters 10:00am -12:00am timer#2 - (dual/independent setting) sideA- 3-way cube with uva bars 10am - 3pm 7pm - 11pm sideB- flowerpower uvb 1pm - 1:15pm 4pm - 4:15pm 7pm - 7:15pm 11pm - 11:15pm timer#3 - far red pucks 11:00pm - 12:15am timer#4 - sub-canopy tube 10am - 1pm 3pm - 6pm 8pm - 11pm ======================================== I also did some testing on the timers and sealed myself into the closet to check for any light leaks. All good.👌 1/19: Tonight is their first long night. It's ON!👍 1/20: I watered them today with about a half gallon each. I'm seeing calcium and magnesium deficiences here and there, so added some boomerang and heavy cal-mag-Fe along with liquid molasses, humic acid, and endoboost myco. I also foliar fed with big bloom and fulvic acid. That's it for week 4-

Week 2 of flower 👍🏾

I was going to write something inspirational here, but cant remember. Must be good weed😉

Went camping so I couldn't start the week right away. June 16th was the start of week 3...going GREAT so far. I'm definitely leaning towards topping and mainline for these ladies! EDIT: I goofed up, lol. They were born on June 6th. So yesterday, June 20th was the start of week 3. EDIT: the ladies went in their final pot today, june 22nd to a 6.25 gallon pot. They look dinky now, lol. That'll change pretty quick 😎

Up to now they looking pretty good and strong, even tho some of the plants are not as dense and is maybe a bit late to date with the other ones. Ill have to give them another 1 or 2 other weeks until harvest. The trichromes look preety good even tho.in the picture dosent show well. They starting to consume less water and the leaf colour is starting to fade slightly .

***Mar 28 Had to redo the reservoir a day early, she is drinking way too fast. I am going to need to make sure to top up the water level every single day now, to prevent it from drying out so fast (2 days, and its half empty!!!) I took away the Root Farms Base and doubled basically everything else. I did this because I feel like the stretch is finished, so I wanted to remove some of the nitrogen. PPM is at 2100 and Ph is at 6. She's starting to get little nugs! Not much of an ambient air smell yet, but the stem rub is very fragrant. The smell reminds me of a warm summer day by the pool, the smell of the fresh air mixed with bright flowers and lemon cut grass. A very beautiful, light, and energetic smell. Can't wait for it to finish, and wondering how the smell will evolve as flower continues. Did a root trim today as well, because it was getting a little crowded in the reservoir, now we are nice and tidy! (Hopefully wont need to do another until the end of flower but we will wait and see how it goes lol). She's filling out the tent a lot, I would say she at least doubled in size since the beginning of flower. ***Mar 30 No sign in trichomes yet, but she's starting to bulk up a little bit! Mostly just the top sites are bulking, but there is some development on some of the upper inner branches as well. ***Mar 31 2 full cups of water added to the reservoir today...! ._. Also down from 2100 to 1800 PPM, like what? I cannot get it to slow down, and I am almost worried I am not giving it enough, but, I mean, it's growing incredibly fast. Just from yesterday to today, the pistils are POPPING like mad, and I even had to do some leaf tucking (and take the top 2 fan leaves covering the inside, it's been a while since I've needed to do that!) All I can do is wait and monitor the PPM, and if it gets too close to 1000 before monday, I will add more nutes. She really acts like the more I give, the more she uses 😅 What an impressive strain. ***April 2 Topped up the reservoir, and made sure PPM and Ph were alright (1600ppm and 6.1ph). It almost looks like it stretched over night, and I had to raise the light up (it went from over 700-1000ppfd for the branches and tops, respectively, to around 500-700). I was going to add more nutrients, but it seems okay at 1600 for now, and now that it wont be getting such intense light, it wont be forced to drink more. I ended up cleaning out some more leafage around some over-layering spots, and also some inner nodes that weren't going to develop into anything other than shake. Got some close ups of the inner nodes, and a quick video showing the layout of the plant! It's amazing how big it's getting, it's already taking up the whole tent, and its only been 2 1/2 weeks since I threw her into flower! 😂 💪😁👌
