Just tucking away 🤣🤣🤣 Last weeks feeding was slightly too high for transition. I am realizing that the amount of fulvic/humid acid reduces the need for full strength ratios. This week we are going to feed 800 again, as the need for ppm’s has increased, but I am going to stay under 850 unless I see deficiency in leaves. The photosynthesis plus has been added to the mix. I know, I have recharge. However, there are certain strains in PP that recharge does not have. Specifically there is a strain for absorbing more from the lights. I have some purple stems from the light being a little to intense. We will be adding a little more cal-mag to the next feeding also. Looks like feeding will take place Tuesday/Wednesday this week. All plants are female and no Herms present for the party 😂😂 10-25 did a pre-feed of cal-mag, 8 oz. Later this evening I will do the main feeding 3 cups. The ratios are still 8-8-8 at 800 ppm’s. The extra ppm’s come in the form of extra cal-mag. Did some tucking as I am in stretch phase. So I work with a grower who is 76 years old. He has some old school techniques that make sense. He pre-waters his containers with 25% water. The remainder 75% is either nutrients OR additives that need to be added to the water. I took it a step further. I added cal-mag to the pre-water stage. Then I fed the nutrients second stage. Cal-mag is the “carrier” for nutrients throughout the plant. “Adding the nutrients after, makes it easy for the nutrients to fully saturate the soil and reach all the roots. This also prevents salt build up.” Ron’s Words. I will say my containers held double the amount of water using his method. 10-28 added some reflective material around the sides. My Growmie at RedmanFarms suggested I add it to the room. I am inside of an open air room for flowering cycle. Today was watering day. First watering was a light dose of cal/mag. Second watering was kelp, seaweed, photosynthesis plus, monk beans SST, fulvic/humic acid. One of the plants ( top left) seems to have a sulpher/magnesium deficiency ( it’s also the one with the soil I don’t like). I made some Iron/Tone tea by Espoma at 200 ppm’s and did a foliar feed. So far I see some progress on purple recessing and the growth has started to match the other 4. I have 1 more week of tucking to do and then I do a HEAVY defoliation on day 21. After than I won’t touch the plants other than feedings and water.

Scratch what I said at the end of last week pests are still around just had some bug fly at me and bite/sting me on the neck now a got a welt on my neck smh, not sure what the heck it was it was some sort of black bug maybe a thrip but I honestly have no idea, did another neem oil drench on the medium only and tomorrow I'm going to use a hydrogen peroxide mixture again that way I can also use it on the tops and undersides of the leaves as well. Some of the roots started to become exposed on the top soil so I added more an inch or two coco to cover the exposed roots. Another successful week I guess the plants aren't dead so onto week 9, Week 4 of flower

So this week last week I did 2 waterings of banana peels and then once with Fish Sh!t for more nutrient uptake to fix that calcium issue. I’ve been on top of PH and incorporated gypsum solution to my waterings but they don’t seem to want to uptake the nutes. It seems to be affecting my flower production so I might take an L on my thinner plant but the purple one is doing pretty good ✅ hopefully there isn’t more problems, if you have solutions, please I’m all ears!!

And the first week of flower begins! I started this week off by defoliating any and all large fan leaves blocking lower nodes. Also did a little supercropping on BL to get her to spread just a bit more. I raised the light up to 45cm and this will be the final height. They've been drinking really fast by this point. Definitely going to be very diligent with waterings/feedings until harvest. Cheers all! This is my most painless grow to date, praying for a nice and smooth wrap-up to this cycle as well.

Opinions on this strain: That damn smell and frost! I always get compliments about how it smells when people come over. It smells like artificial grape, imagine smelling the color purple 🤔 and tootsie rolls combined. As for the frost, it’s more frosty than the things you forgot all the way in the back of your freezer lol! 😆 I wonder what the results would be if I make concentrate from this! This plant is a heavy feeder! Super easy to grow, did no training and she came out beautiful! No purple yet, and I think I’m gunna wait about a week or three to chop. Now the cons. The bud development is a little slow and these buds do fall on the shorter side, it might’ve been a growers mistake, it might swell up the last couple weeks, I’m not sure. But imma record it and keep you guys updated!

Bubbas Gift, real Indica.. still waiting for the flower stretch to kick-in, although I know it has already. Depending on how she turns out, definitely a keeper and may even monster crop at harvest. Anyway, no real changes in feeding other than increasing the bloom/Astro by 0.2ml putting it up to 0.4ml. Cal-Mag and Micro at 0.6ml. Soon to completely cut out grow by week 3. Will then increase Astro/Bloom. Reason being is she's a light feeder and I'm not risking burning her. No problems with her so far at all, her structure is short and squat and gets bushier by the day. She recovered from the last defoliation pretty quickly but I won't do anymore until the end of week 3 and what I do take off will be very selective. Anyway guys thanks for tuning in, back in a week with an update!

Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

Hello. This the end of the 1st week and the start of the 2nd week of flowering. Just a fast entry... I'm starting harvesting of the front 1/2 of this greenhouse tomorrow. So, I'm getting ready for that. These plants have still got 6 or 7 weeks of flowering to go still. These plant will go in the front of the greenhouse when I'm finished with the harvest in there. Did a stock rub test of these plants and the smell reminded me of the good old days of buying land race pot. It smelled like The Columbian sativa from the 1970's... mmm wonderful. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Apple Betty Characteristics Brand- Herbies Seeds Sex- Feminized Flowering type- Photoperiod Suitable for Outdoor or Indoor Effect- Sugary Psychedelia Genetics- Chem’s Sister x Sour Apple x Chocolate Diesel Height- 80 - 120 cm indoors Yield- 600 - 800 g/m² indoors Flowering indoors- 55 - 65 days Outdoor finish- Late September Genotype- 40% Sativa / 60% Indica THC - 28 - 33 % Straight out of Grandma’s kitchen, Apple Betty by Herbies Seeds is a nostalgic apple pie-flavored delight with up to 33% THC and a lineage to write home about. She’ll glue you to the couch in a psychedelic daze and will never disappoint, boasting big yields in just 55-65 days of flowering. Started germination by soaking 3 seeds in Distilled water with a tiny splash of peroxide for about 4 hours. Through testing I have found just a few mls of hydrogen peroxide in your water has assisted in breaking down the seed husk, quickened seed sprouting and can prevent the seed husk from sticking to the seedling as the cotyledon leaves emerge. After the soak, planted the seed about 1/4 inch down directly into my soil mix, which is basically promix HP with worm castings, and moistened the soil with a 1 litre spray bottle of ph’d distilled water and 1 ml of Sensi Cal Mag plus 2-0-0. I have a digital humidifier which was set to 70% , and a small 250watt heater I place outside my tent behind my intake fan to draw in the warm air. Keeps the tent at a nice and cozy 25* C or 79* F. I raised my BP2500 as high as I could, and dimmed it down (manually - there is a screw on the side of the driver to adjust) to about 115watts at the wall. The seeds were planted on the evening of Aug 29/2022. I typically place a humidity dome over the pot to increase humidity during germination. All 3 sprouted on Sept 1/2022 by the end of the work day. 🌱 spent the week refilling the humidifier, and using my ph’d distilled water/cal mag solution in a spray bottle twice a day, just little spritz’s at a time. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎
