26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. Thanks for checking out my diary 🍃 ✌️

She's doing really well so far. I'm curious to see in the coming weeks whether she'll really grow as big as a gorilla.

Laughing Buddha – Woche 18 | Blütewoche 3 Eine weitere Woche ist geschafft und ich glaube, der Stretch ist jetzt endgültig vorbei. Die Höhe hat sich in den letzten Tagen kaum noch verändert und genau das habe ich mir erhofft. Ab jetzt darf die Lady ihre komplette Energie in die Blüten stecken. Das SCROG entwickelt sich genau so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Die meisten Tops stehen auf einer Höhe und das dritte Netz hält inzwischen alles sauber in Position. Es macht einfach Spaß, das Blütendach jeden Tag anzuschauen. Diese Woche ist vor allem die Harzproduktion explodiert. Auf jedem neuen Makrofoto sieht man mehr Trichome und inzwischen sind selbst die Zuckerblätter schon ordentlich mit Frost überzogen. Für Blütewoche 3 macht die Laughing Buddha wirklich einen starken Eindruck. Auch die Blüten verändern sich jetzt sichtbar. Aus den kleinen Blütenansätzen werden langsam richtige Colas und die ersten Kelche beginnen sich übereinander zu stapeln. Genau auf diesen Moment habe ich gewartet. Nach dem Gießen habe ich wie geplant das BioBloom als Top-Dressing eingearbeitet und anschließend mit BioEnhancer angegossen. Der EC-Verlauf im Boden zeigte in den letzten Tagen langsam nach unten, deshalb war der Zeitpunkt für das Nachdüngen genau richtig. Die Klima- und Lichtwerte laufen weiterhin sehr stabil. Nach der Kalibrierung des PPFD-Sensors und einer kleinen Anpassung der Lampenhöhe liegt die Lichtintensität jetzt wieder genau dort, wo ich sie haben möchte. Jetzt beginnt für mich der spannendste Teil des gesamten Grows. Der Stretch ist abgeschlossen, die Grundlage ist gelegt und ab jetzt dürfen die Blüten Woche für Woche dicker werden. Happy Growing!

Servus Moin! Die Super Double Cherry hat richtig zugelegt. Schöne Menge an Trieben mit Blüten dran und sie hat schon ein richtigen Kirsch geruch entwickelt. Erinnert stark an Marzipan.

Como as temperaturas estão subindo por aqui, por isso optei por uma variedade automática e rápida e esta variedade nova parece muito adequada para minhas necessidades de tempo. Começamos dia 31 de outubro, direto para o papel umidificado a temperatura está em torno de 27 graus pelo dia e 24 a noite no ambiente de germinação.02 de novembro foram para os vasos. Dia 03 de novembro parece que vai tudo bem.

D68 (28/01/2021): First official day of week 6 in bloom and first official day (second in reality) of pre harvest flush. The smell is strong when I open the tent! It does not take long for the whole room to smell dank and even outside the room. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 20-22C light OFF - no water - RH: 49-52% light ON ; 49-50% light OFF D69 (29/01/2021): I did a first proper flush today by running approximately 2.5 gallons of water trough the medium. There is still a lot of nutrients in the medium. I might do the exact same flush tomorrow. The PH of the run off is high (around PH7-7.1). This is an other reason to flush again tomorrow. I also reduced the light ON schedule by two hours. So now 18h hours ON and 6 hours OFF. I will continue reducing the ON period until they are ready for a complete dark period. I also try to reduce the air temperature. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 19-20C light OFF - water: PH6.4, 135PPM, 2.5 gallons each - run off: PH7 and 680PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH7.1 and 560PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 47% light ON ; 48-53% light OFF D70 (30/01/2021): I did a second flush since I was not satisfied with run off PPM of yesterday. Today, the run off PPM is under 300 which is what I wanted. The run off PH is still high with 7.1. Banana Kush is ripening with the pistils slowly turning brown. Glue Gelato look sooooo yummy and I can't wait to harvest it. There is a small color change in some leaves but I'm expecting more in the next days. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 19C light OFF - water: PH6.4, 125PPM, 2.5 gallons each - run off: PH7.1 and 260PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH7.1 and 250PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 46% light ON ; 46-48% light OFF D71 (31/01/2021): Glue Gelato is changing color. I'm checking trichomes everyday on both girls and no amber yet. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 19C light OFF - no water - RH: 45% light ON ; 49-50% light OFF D72 (01/02/2021): Well well well...the clock is ticking for those girls. Glue Gelato is now having a couple of amber trichomes. Banana Kush don't have any. Overall Banana Kush has less trichomes and fluffier buds. This girls is not ready yet but I will need to chop her down at the same time has the Glue Gelato because my drying space is the tent I'm growing in. I will try to push the Banana Kush to ripen faster by lifting up the lamp at 16 inches from top bud and by reducing of 2 hours the day period for a 16 hours light ON and 8 hours light OFF. But at least all Banana Kush trichomes looks milky. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - water: PH6.2, 123PPM, less then a gallon each - run off: PH7.4 and 200PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH7.4 and 287PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 45% light ON ; 40-45% light OFF D73 (02/02/2021): I gave water probably for the last time today. Trichomes on Glue Gelato are starting to amber on top buds. Not a lot of amber but you can see that all the trichomes are starting to degrade by curling down slowly. Trichomes on Banana Kush are not amber at all but they all look milky. Glue Gelato is ready to harvest but Banana Kush need more time. It's tough to make a decision to chop or not since they are not at the same stage of growth. I want to place them in a complete 48 hours of darkness before harvest. 1h less light today for a 15h light ON and 9h light OFF. The lamps are now at 20 inches. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - water: less then a gallon each - RH: 45% light ON ; 40-45% light OFF D74 (03/02/2021): Glue Gelato is ready for 48h of darkness. I will take her out of the tent and place her in an other room without light. I will try to maintain a proper environment in this room and if it smells to strong or if the condition are not good I will replace her in the tent and both will start the 48h darkness. The idea is to give Banana Kush 2 more days to ripe and swoll more. After 48h, I will chop Glue Gelato and place her in the tent to start drying. Banana Kush will then start her 48h darkness. I don't know if this strategy is good but I will monitor everything closely and react if something is wrong. - temp: 22-23C light ON ; 19C light OFF - no water - RH: 47% light ON ; 43-45% light OFF

Now that everything is growing steadily. 8.5.25: The plant was watered with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6. This may be the last watering before she's done. All ladies looking amazing. Sundae Batter looks to have very good resilience towards stress. Bubble a bit problematic and hangry.

This baby actually snuck up on me being the first of 4 plants on my patio to be ready for harvest using trichomes as my guide. It took me roughly 4 hours to take the entire plant down and wash it and get her ready for drying. A bit longer than I expected since there's a fair bit of space between the nodes and it was fairly easy to pluck fan leaves. Been very hot and dry lately... although we are expecting our first precipitation since spring on Monday so it's not a bad time to get some harvesting out of the way. It will be a few days before this stuff is dry enough to process further, but I plan to give the dry trimmer another go. After further processing we can add in some weights. September 19 > I'm surprised that it's taken this long for this baby to dry to this point - but it's been a weird week with two bouts of precipitation that we don't normally see. Slow is better - but I have a load of herb stacked up behind this. Fortunately... what we call indian summer conditions are about to prevail drying things out further. I'm surprised how tasty my initial tastes of this strain came in... normally I wouldn't even consider tasting something this young, but after initial tests I'm sure I'm a gonna like this stuff. I had to de-bud the C&C completely to make room for Northern Lights which needs to come down tomorrow... probably followed another half week by Amnesia #2, and then there is Purple Berry Kush bringing up the rear guard. Gonna be a busy next couple weeks. Started trimming on September 23 and finished the next day. Final bud weight comes in at 269 grams for one plant (9.5 ounces). The bud size is not tremendous but the yield was substantial and will keep me and my friends rolling in CBD until next summer. I would have to say this stuff did not dry as fast as I'm used to for herb that I've washed after harvest. Initial dry seems to be around 50%. Lower than I like but I was trying to dry the herb out for use with the Dry Trimmer... but I'd have to say the trimmer still isn't performing up to expectations. I used the maximum number of rotations/spins and really tried to beat the herb up but she won the fight. I still spent somewhere between 5-6 hours trimming by hand after that fight. I couldn't really wait any longer for the C&C to dry further because I have other trees coming in behind her and I need the space. The amount of shake/trim generated using the Trim Bag was about 65 grams - the amount from my hand trimming was 3x that easy. Off to wrestle with Northern Lights... Amnesia 7 comes down at dawn. Busy time of year... but what would you rather be doing...? ✊ 😬

Heyho Growmies! The Mango Frost is in the end of stretch and now fully starts to develop her Buds. The Mango Cherry Runtz is getting purple and fatter and fatter. I still removing a few fan leaves here and there,to optimize airflow & light. While trying to remove as less as possible plant material for now. Maybe next week they get a little bit more defoliation.

Throughout the week I’ve continued using gentle Low Stress Training while regularly tucking large fan leaves behind developing flowering sites whenever needed. No defoliation has been performed so far. The goal isn’t removing leaves—it’s allowing them to continue acting as efficient solar panels while simply repositioning them to improve light penetration and airflow. As new flowering sites develop, small adjustments are all that’s needed to expose each future cola without unnecessarily reducing the plant’s photosynthetic capacity. With such vigorous vertical growth, this approach is producing an open canopy while preserving every bit of energy available for flower production. What impresses me most is how effortlessly she carries her size. Even with her height, the branches remain well balanced, the stem is thick and healthy, and the overall structure feels surprisingly stable. She has responded beautifully to gentle LST, opening the canopy naturally without ever looking stressed. There is still plenty of stretch left, but the focus is clearly beginning to shift. Every day more pistils appear, every node becomes more defined, and the framework for what could become a very productive harvest is steadily taking shape. Sometimes a plant doesn’t demand attention—it simply earns it. ⸻ 🔭 Looking Ahead Over the coming week I expect Black Diamond A to continue stretching while the early flower clusters begin merging into recognizable bud formations. Leaf tucking will remain the primary form of canopy management, helping maintain even light distribution without removing healthy foliage. Nutritionally, the transition toward a full flowering program will continue as her appetite increases and flower production accelerates. If she maintains this pace, there’s every reason to believe she’ll remain one of the dominant plants in the room throughout the remainder of the cycle. The structure is there. The health is there. Day 33: What an amazing height and bud gain in just 3 days! Lady #1 is 67 cm tall now, her sister a tad smaller. Both still have a great color, and I dared to cur away just the lowest branches and leaves that do not look like they could gain height in time. Really enjoying this strain so far! At the end of their day, they are a bit dropping leaves, so clearly no hunger for more light. The impressive growth speed continued on their buds: Tallest lady at 70 cm now. Their next morning shows growth is still at an impressive 5 cm/day as lady #1 with her leaves erected again stretches now 72, the maximum of my previous growth. Pulled the lights as close as possible to the ceiling and hope they won’t make it much more than 1 m. I activated the Sansi 30 W folded wings LED to give them somewhat of a morning and evening light and to add some more light to their overlapping center branches in the middle of "their" day. Sadly that’s causing some interference to the timelapse videos, but I can’t say they’re perfect if it wouldn’t. Watching the timelapse video of day 34, I have the feeling the additional light rather irritates them. Maybe the interference is not only visible for electronic eyes. I’ll keep it off next day for comparisons. Day 35 shows stretch speed has reduced indeed and they seem to be concentrating on leaf and bud growth instead. 75 cm, so we are currently at "only" 3 cm/day. Watered them with a HPE/Bud growth mix again last night, about 1 l each. Well, forget my words about reduced growth. After they recovered during the night, we are at 77 cm for lady #1. Which measured at 78 with hanging leaves in their day’s evening. I must have missed a day number – day 36 concludes their 5th week. I gave them another 2 l of fertilised water each and will lave them for the weekend again. Video shows that growth concentrates now more on leaf and bud development than on gaining height. So I guess my 160 cm tent will be sufficient. For a moment I was worried, but it looks like stretch is over. Anyway, time to rearrange the camera next week. Leaves are running out of focus.
