The Bruce Banner showed a nutrient deficiency (potassium) this week. I have just learned that organic fertilizer should always be applied at 100% of the recommended rate and not at 50% as I did in the first few weeks. However, it doesn't look too bad yet and I have now increased the fertilization. Next I discovered 2-3 small pollen sacks on S.A.D. #3 & #4... I don't know why both plants were slightly twittering but I simply removed these bananas :-) We will see!

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Getting close!! Chopped a bunch of used up leaves off, took some microscope shots yesterday, got a boom arm coming so I don't have to rely on my steady hand for the microscope shots but still looks cloudy/clear w/o an amber to be seen when looking at the trichomes as of Monday. Pistils are still mostly white but rapidly advancing. Fastbuds advertises a chop day between 63 and 70 so we're in the window and heading in the right direction. A chop before the end of the week is possible.

Phenotype number 1 finally matured on day 84 of flowering, I safely harvested, dried, and collected seeds, totaling approximately 1800 (no, I didn't count them). The goal was achieved, I gained a tremendous amount of experience, and now at least I have understanding. Lastly, I need to conduct a germination test to be sure. I already put a handful of seeds in a shot glass, next week I'll update on how it goes. Now, onto the not-so-great news, zelebob, aka number 3, refuses to give me its

Week 7 is finished, end is near. This one seems to be finishing up with only a week or two left. Some fade has started and this GG#4 is really colourful! A few nanners have popped up, must be genetics but not to sure what I did to cause them to come out, more than likely to much light. I dimmed the light regardless as the leaves on the tallest cola in the tent were showing signs of stress. So yeah, nanners, probably light stress. Fungus gnats are bugging me for sure, but the plants seem fine. Need to get them under control after this run. Lights are at 20” dimmed to around 65%, hopefully for a measurement of about 650 ppfd. They were at 75%, but plants were showing signs of stress so I dimmed them. Just watering using tap water, not ph’d, through drip on a timer. I drink my water straight from the tap, ph is around 7, and less than 15ppm, good for me, good for my plants. Water is aerated in a 30 gallon reservoir. Hand water once a week with Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17. Light still breaking through canopy in spots. Lots of leaves, but not much bud sites below. No need to remove big leaves yet. Der Herbst ist da! Wie wunderschön sich die Blätter zum Ende der BW7 färben. Traumhaft. Sie riecht köstlich nach Mandarine, aber auch etwas nach Kuchen. Sie reift unheimlich schnell aus. Lange dauert es nicht mehr. Die Trichome sind überwiegend milchig.

Okay I'm very happy with the quality of the weed very good bag appeal fat buds on every branch covered in Crystal's looks like top shelf BUT I'm not very impressed with the smell of this strain the cookies that I buy of my dealer is alot more potent smelling extremely and the smell is completely different to what he has obviously he has a different cookie strain Fastbuds cookies smells very pleasant but not what I thought it would smell like if I could describe it's like a cheese smell but sweetened alot the smell is very strong when smoked and can make your house smell alot the high is very good I have over phenos still drying that might have a different smell update soon

Brown leaves, decent sized buds - that's the name of the game right now - Bertha is still looking the strongest. I also defoliated her, removing a ton of shade leaves which will hopefully help with air circulation around her flowers. 9/15- Chop Day for the GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower from FastBuds! I got up just before sunrise today and took her down. After cutting off sections of the plant, I then transferred them inside to a climate controlled room. Once hung, I set the RH in the room to 50% for the first 24-36 hours to knock down the enormous moisture content present when the plants are freshly hung. I also have the temperature set to 65℉ and have two fans circulating the air in the room without blowing directly onto the hanging plants (very important). The GG4 will hang for 10-12 days, at which point I'll be locked in 'Trim Jail' for a few days at least! In Blütewoche 6 zeigen die Pflanzen ihr volles Potenzial. Die Buds sind deutlich angeschwollen, kompakt und komplett mit einer dichten Schicht glänzender Trichome überzogen.
