Sorry I couldn't get better pictures but I'll try again tomorrow. This strain certainly deserves it. Very low leaf to bud ratio on this plant. Dark pink or orange stigmas retracted into the buds as they finished and one pheno had the densest nugs I've ever grown. This year realky showed me the difference of quality seeds compared to "local" clones. After a rainstorm on the large fluffier pheno I found a "trapped" bumblebee inside one of the massive colas. I had to help it out. It was literally "stuck" due to the resin. This strain had the most pleasant aroma that stuck with the finished product. Due to the small amount of leaf to bud ratio this plant was a breeze to trim. That being said I still don't have it ALL manicured up but I'm working on it. All plants seemed fairly pest resistant as well. If you enjoy indica strains (90/10) with short flowering times than this should certainly be on your "to grow list." Having these plants totally finish before October was very helpful. According to many local growers (both patients and commercial growers) this was "the worst year for growing cannabis in memory." I've had the best year I've had in decades (probably ever) both quality and quantity wise.

First day went as expected. I put the paper towel in a small see-thru plastic container and put it on the table. With a bit of water and the seeds in side, the germination has now started! Day 2 no progression, moved the tray into my furnace room (pitch black and warm) Day 3 major progression. I got them out and started to prep the jiffy pellets. Shortly after I transferred the roughly half inch tarp roots with seeds into the jiffy pellets, root down, seed up, slightly covered with dirt. I soaked them in water (like a beginner i overwatered heavily knowing what I know now). I placed them back in the tray and put them at a window for light. (Note) the plan was to do outdoor so no light or tent was ordered at this point. Day 4-7 not much progression seeing as the clouds and rain showed up...

This diary will be special to me for two reasons, one because I have the opportunity to cultivate some new and exciting strains from two of the TOP breeders in the industry! The second reason this will be special to me is that I will be growing these two strains in a brand new greenhouse that I put up! I'm super stoked to see how these two ladies turn out in this new setup. On to the strains: 'Tester' Strain A info: Hybrid (I/S) | 6-7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Sweet, Candy 'Tester' Strain B info: Indica-Dominant (90%) | 7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Peppery, Sweet I hope that you enjoy this run as much as I will... It's going to be fun and interesting for sure! ~GROW WHAT YOU LOVE, LOVE WHAT YOU GROW!~ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: These beauties will be growing in a brand spanking new 10x14' greenhouse that I have equipped with automatic window openers, a complement of Hurricane fans and a de-humidifier/heater to help keep the environment as dialed in as possible. I started both tester in glasses of tap water, where they soaked for 24hrs. After soaking, they were placed directly into whole eggshells with just their tops removed to make a natural seed starting pot that I filled with a 70/30 blend of Coco/Perlite which was pre-moistened with well water ph'd to 6.2, then placed under a 50w full spectrum LED on a 24hr light schedule. Once, they both have their second set of leaves emerged, I plan on starting to put them in the greenhouse for 2-3 hour a day for a few days to help them acclimate and 'harden off' in the greenhouse. I'll be starting both off in 1qt pots, then transplanting them into to gradually larger pots until they're around 6 weeks old, then they will go into their final pots which are 25g fabric pots. I mix my initial medium using 3 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics 4-4-4 along with 1 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics Glacial Rock Dust for the trace minerals it provides, 1 tbsp/g of Down To Earth Kelp Meal, 1 tbsp/g of Trichoderma/Mycorrhizae, and 1 cup/g of Wiggle Worm Castings. I hand mix my amendments to ensure an even distribution throughout the medium. I'll be watering with well water ph'd to 6.2-6.8 and providing bi-weekly compost tea's throughout the run. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 5/16- Week Five is here and I couldn't be happier with how both of the Testers from Dutch Passion/SSSC are doing! Both are continuing to have excellent vigor and are 'praying' hard every day... VERY happy ladies! 5/18- Today, I watered both Testers with 1.5g of straight well water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 70℉. I also removed some new shoots growing down low on both plants to help redirect energy towards the upper portions. 5/20- Yesterday and today were cool and rainy, so all I really did was to spend some quality time with the ladies, giving them both a good looking over to catch any issues well before they get out of hand. Both looked fantastic! 5/22- Yesterday, both Testers were watered with 2g of well water with 3 tbsp/g of Worm Tea concentrate, which was ph'd to 6.4 @ 72℉. I have also started to do some HST on both, twisting and bending branches to allow light to reach down into their canopies. Well fam, Week Six of veg is on the books for these two gorgeous girls from Dutch Passion/Super Sativa Seed Club and I am absolutely impressed with how well both are doing despite the rather warm temp's right now... Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. End of Week 7 The light intensity has been set at 60% since the beginning of the week. I’ve been watering daily, using Fade nutrients at 2.2 EC during the first few days, gradually increasing to 3.0 EC as the week progressed. On the last day, I discovered small spots of Botrytis on two buds: one from FullGas #2 and one from FullGas #3. After thoroughly inspecting the tent, I didn’t find any additional signs of the issue, but I’ll remain vigilant. To help prevent further outbreaks, I increased air circulation inside the tent. All the flowers continue to develop beautifully, with a noticeable increase in density and resin production despite the small setback.

High GD community, Week 4. Starting to veg real good. As writing this, ive just bended those 2 ladies all the way down. 1 week left for them to grow potential, friday transplant into the 12 liter pots. Week 7, the smell is super strong and the nuggs are hard as rocks, they are not too big they needed more P and i failed to supply it at the right time thats totally my fault but they suerly are more beautiful each day that passes, im glad they are good

The lemon pie has sum stuff going on not sure if I under-watered her a little bit I did wait 4 days to water that one but I thought the soil was still good until I picked it up and it was light as a feather so I gave a cup of Ayer maybe a littler more and had I slight VPD problem I think it was 84 with like 50% humidity I added a second fan today it bounced up to 65% at 82 degrees! Please help am I over thinking or is this something bigger

Day 1 of the 4th week in flowering time to start pk 13 14. So far had spray neem oil 2x a week at night and happy with results plants looks enjoy the plagron nutrients and our sun.

Chopped her two days into week 14. What else. Buds. There are a lot of them. And they are quite large. And they look like they will require little effort to trim. What more can I wish for? I am a very happy man. Upd 1: Trimming is SO SIMPLE! Not much sticking out to begin with, because of the amazing bud structure and me plucking most bud node fans. Solid nugs which are not bothered by anything, so pulling smaller sub-bud fans is very simple too, while the buds are what I would call moist. I'll call this Moist Trim 😄 ✂️✂️✂️ Went for the best trimming tools available on the market (well at least my research concluded so) and LOVING every minute of trimming with the B-500SRF. Why would I or anyone else use something less suitable or less comfortable for such a delicate and long job is beyond me, except if you cannot afford one right now, in which case I wish you to experience it one day. Fiskars are also very good in therms of the blades, coating and cutting ability and precision, but the spring is just too stiff, like way, way to stiff for something that is to be used for hours on end. One might argue that such spring force helps overcome resin buildup, but please just rinse your instrument regularly in an appropriate solvent (ethy, iso, whatever — consider you instrument materials as well) and wipe it after. Why would you let significant amounts of resin to accumulate on such a gentle and precise tool? Kinda defeats the purpose?

Day 56: Nothing special this week other then I found out another reason for the stretching of the plants. They did not stretch that much as the Gorilla's but they still did some. I don't know where i was of what i was doing but suddenly it came into my mind. Well normaly i use seperate veg and flower basic nutrients. This time, I used a new basic nutrient i never used before. This basic nutrient has veg and flower nutrients for the whole cycle. So the growth of the plants where stimulated to longer. This is fun when you grow huge plants for a long time, not if you plan to only veg for 3-4 weeks, 1-2 weeks preflower with maybe 6 to 9 weeks of flowering.
