This new week started better as with some flushes I brought the runoff back to 6.5/7, the plant seems to be growing well

Swapped out a light that’s slightly too big for my tent but squeezed it in with minor cuts to the tent. Probably should’ve done it sooner. Can only run the light at 50% or below.

So, day 65 of the 🔅Root66 auto project🔅 and this is the last update before harvest: ❎- GSC (2) are the only plants that didn't make it so we didn't defol --> 15-20 days late. Strong plants, high ppm feeding --> no probs at all.[Same phenos]. ☑️- Cream mandarine xl (4) more than a week (10 days) before maturity. Besides that CMxl is a great yielder, tall plant with light brunches. Average ppm needed. ✅- Jack 47 (4) 5 days before maturity but that's enough for these Jacks to pass the test. Smell is unique (pineapple), no stress probs, really dwarf plants.[Same phenos]. ✅- Gorilla Glue (2) pass the test and ready for harvest. Not what I really expected, average yield,growth etc. ✅- Fast berry (3) pass the 66 project. We had 2 phenos (2 green and 1 purple), beautiful plants with great aromas. Nitrogen issues, don't overfeed. ✅- Crystal Meth (3) pass the test from day 60🤯, 2 phenos. We experimented with these. The green one (with a little purple inside) had a topping and is already mature one week before the end of the project, purple #1 just defol and purple #2 supercroping. A really fast strain, good yield n hungry.

🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. Really good week she doubled in size, going to top her next week I’d rate her 8/10 right now

Everything’s going great lovely and green although doesn’t look that way on my camera,the two small ones may be males no big deal no such thing as 100%feminised seeds.il give them a good leaf strip tomorrow i usually defo quite heavy

Day 58 - As you can see, buds are looking full but still looking like they want to go a bit longer, checking the trichomes frequently and seeing a lot of cloudy.. think i saw the first few ambers too. Any how, we shall keep going. Flush time soon. Day 62 - Looking good, smelling better.. really fruity and sweet. Seems ripe too. Feeds lowered and a little flush. Buds are rock hard, very dense and sticky. Looking forward to harvesting. She will be ready by day 63, but I'll see weather or not ill let her go longer. Stay tuned. Day 64 - trichomes ready, little flush and shes ready for the chop. Beautiful smelling strain and easy to grow. Very hard dense gassy and sweet buds. Once dry and cure, will be back with a little update.

Week 4: Light defoliation

Happy 4th everyone 🎆. I just returned from a 4 day family trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I love that place and we had a lot of fun. The girls are doing great. I filled the reservoir before I left and it's was 1/4 remaining when I returned. That's one big advantage using the auto pots. If i was manual watering, i would be able to miss watering them more than a day. The posted pictures are 7 days from the last week photos. I also took a couple videos. With this being the beginning of week 5, I increased my bloom to 12ml per gallon. It's usually 9ml. I also increased my koolbloom from 3ml to 5ml per gallon. I'll go back to 9 and 3 on week 6. Going into week 2 of flowering and shes looking pretty nice if I may say so my self. I've been trying to make her as flat and wide as possible for the last few weeks with some LST using paper clips. For the last few weeks the pH was raising daily from 5.5 all the way to around 6.6 over night so I would have to go back every day and add some pH down to bring it back to 5. I was thinking it was due to light getting into the reservoir so I added more black out to the bucket and for the last 3 nights I've checked the pH has been steady at 5.7 so I'm thinking I solved that problem.
