The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures stay above the mid 40's℉, at which point she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes, and then let the fun begin!🤪💚 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 9/6- Well, Week Five of flower is here and the Wedding Cheesecake FF by FastBuds is rockin-n-rollin! Well fam, the 'Beast From The East' is going strong, and so far has not encountered any issues with any bud rot but is showing signs of the beginnings of Septoria. Luckily, this far into flower it shouldn't be too much of a concern at this point. This late in our growing season I always worry about Boytris, especially with cultivars that have really dense and tightly grouped flowers as our weather is now turning cooler and wetter. 9/8- I'm continuing to water the Wedding Cheesecake FF in the mornings on days that we do not get any substantial rain with well water via the garden hose. Today I went through the plant and removed a bunch of old dead leaves, along with any shade leaves that were totally yellow. I did not water today as we had a good amount of rain yesterday and the soil is still really moist. 9/10- My daily routine of watering, removing dead foliage and checking over the flowers continues. The aroma coming off of the Wedding Cheesecake FF is really loud now and you can definitely pick up some subtle hints of her Cheese lineage in it! 9/12- With Five weeks of flowers now behind her, the FastBuds Wedding Cheesecake Fast Flower only has 2-3 more weeks to go (weather permitting) and she's on track to be an enormous yielding plant! Temps and humidity are getting up there and harder to control. Equipment is working harder to keep cool. Heatwave forecasted for next week:( Got old lights switched out for new Mars TS series:) Ladies might need to be watered everyday soon as they are taking a lot more every other day. Don’t want them to dry out to much. Added some mulch to help with the top layer from drying right out between waterings. Want to keep the top alive and not die off as the sides of the pot also dry up and really only the centre stays healthy between waterings. That’s why I have now decided in future grows that I’ll being going with large pots, like 30-45 gallon and fewer plants, maybe 1-2 and grow longer for bigger roots!

3 Nori Cakes still there. who continue to grow 😀 This week I start cutting a few lower branches from each plant. This way more energy should be available for the upper branches. For this culture, I would like to let each plant grow with a main bud without "topping". I would like the tent to be filled and look like a Sog in flowering. One of the plants has a slight pie dough smell, but still very minimal smell when I open the tent. EDIT: the smell is actually making it passed my carbon filter, and I am not sure why it is only 1 of the 2 plants giving off the heavy smell as well. The chunkier/darker colour one is the one that smells real heavy, smells really creamy/doughy. UV/IR has been on for the past few weeks, and will stay on until the end. The plants have gone through a bunch of issues so far, and are still going strong. Gave a tablespoon of power bloom to each, on day 31.

All the plants are building buds. This herercane has big pistils just like the jack herer parent. Hoping the sugar cane brings some elevated frost to it. Gave them a little beastie bloomz. I cut them off the maxigro today since the leaf tips are burning. Other than that everything is going smooth.

We're beyond excited to try out this new MarsHydro LED for our latest grow, the SP-3000 is INCREDIBLY bright!! ..I have never seen a light more appropriate for a 4x2 tent in my life, we (happily) replaced 3 "600 watt" blurple LEDs with this single rig ( something we've wanted for a very long time). There should be no issue achieving perfect coverage, corner to corner with this light. Its been years since we've flowered under LED ( and never one of this quality), we're a little bias towards HID/CMH, especially my hubby but I think this might just be the LED that changes our mind! We'll be growing Gelat OG Auto by Seedsman (we've heard amazing things) for our first grow under the SP-3000, all plants in 5gl fabric pots, Promix-B (25% perlite) on a 20/4hr cycle. We're starting with 4 plants but if they become unmanageable, we'll move one or 2 of the plants to another tent. We use a glass of water and a paper towel as our germination method. We soak seeds roughly 24hrs and then in a wet paper towel for another 12-24hrs, we average roughly a 90% success rate doing it this way... the flush started, 2-3 weeks of flush .... a plant is almost mature, but having had two phenotypes that are somewhat different at the genetic level, one or the other will mature slightly more (in view of sativa prevalence) it will be harvested when fully ripe. very sweet and fruity smells, really good and strong ...

Week 8 - second week of flower One plant is much smaller - still not confident on sex of any of them ... maybe that small one is a male - I’m guessing they’re all female tho. Either way i may need to slaughter that little guy - the other plants are just overtaking the tent - might not be worth keeping that little one in there. Update 6/5/19 - I’ll take some updated pics tomorrow - I’m 95% sure I have FOUR out of four female plants. Just picked up some yucca to try - and I got some more led hangers so maybe I’ll upgrade the lights today - the rapidLED far red flower initiator isn’t coming until Wednesday unfortunately but I have two more SolStix I could add. Update 6/5/19 - far red flower initiator and the two (now 4) solstix are installed - I need to make a simple aluminum frame - maybe this weekend Picked up some 29% H202 to clean the rez tank and pumps and filter etc (not to put in the nutes for the plants tho!) Got a better air pump and airstone for the rez. New Vivosun oscillating fan - wtf!? Made for grow tents but can’t turn without stopping on the sides of the tent!? - I emailed them maybe it’s defective.

The girls are now showing pre flowers and white hairs throughout the plant. One is further along then the others but not by much. I decided to switch the lights to a 12/12 schedule and have fed them with a light dose of nutes. I can't believe how fast they are growing! 😁

Week 7

Here's some video of day 11 of flower. You can't even tell I defoliated at the flip. Top left is London mint cake. It's the shortest plant and I'm hoping I don't need to reach it in the later stages of flower. Bottom left is rainbow cake and the big girl on the right is pineapple express. She's much more leggy considering I started them at the same time. Same nutrition amount as last week. Just letting them stretch out. No issues so far.

This week flushing the wedding cake i thought that was the problem was an excess of nutrients, but instead the water was quite clean, around 1100ppm at the first drain, after several flushes water is now on 600ppm.. It seems that the others are starting to have the same deficiency that hit wedding # 2 .. now I'm treating them with 0.5ml of cal-mag adding it to the other nutrients for once a week (except wedding # 2) I will wait for the soil to dry out, to give her only clean water since the final harvest is not long. ⚠️ UPDATE DAY 45 ⚠️ Yesterday flush for dos si dos and today flush for (wedding cake 1) they are having a nutrient lockout too..😪 The (wedding cake 1) is clearly healthier than her sister (wedding cake 2) by looking at her color, but unfortunately she had excessive PPM / EC too.. So i did the same procedure by using only tap water, but this time added only 0,5ml of cal-mag. Water was at 6.5 ph until I got a better runoff, it went from 5.7 to 6.0 PH and from 1800 to 700-600ppm 😬 I have never thought of overdoing nutrients so much.. I will certainly learn a lot from these mistakes 🙌🏻
